"A scholar always keeps an open mind. Please, Master Mortimer." Gaius then checks the trays brought by the servants for some wine. He then pours some into goblets and offers them to his new companions.

"To new friends found and old ones remembered."

"You intrigue me, Master Mortimer. Perhaps, you can regale us with tales of your travels. One such as I could learn much. That is, if I am not imposing too much."

Turning to the tattooed man, "Sorry, no."

Gaius rises from his seat. Smiling, he addresses the newcomer and the tattooed man, "You may call me Gaius. My full name is rather long." Extending his hands in a gesture of peace, Gaius asks, "And how may I call you, good sirs?"

"Think nothing of it," Gaius replies to the newcomer. He then takes out a wand and uses a charge from it.

Spoiler:
Spend a charge from Wand of Mage Armor; AC 16 Now; Also a great way of keeping track of time

Gaius returns the friendly nod of the tattooed man. Thereafter, he returns to his vigil with nary a sign of irritation or fatigue. Years of experience seems to be paying off.

Gaius uses his peripheral vision and hearing to observe the entire room.

To the Archivist:

Spoiler:
Is Gaius aware of any custom prohibiting the casting of spells in a house without the host's permission, as in this case? Did Gaius see any guards around the estate going in?

Further, Gaius gets the impression that Solomon Beard is noveau rich or he has extremely bad taste on account of the garishness of the sitting room. But considering that he is hailed as a successful merchant, his accumen should not be underestimated. The two traits suggests a possible surprise from Solomon Beard.

A bit more editting on my sheet. Replacing Arcane Consumption with Still Spell. The requirement for Arcane Consumption is 6th caster level.

Oops. I think a made a mistake on my HP. I forgot to add the 3 HP from the Toughness feat. Adjusted it so instead of 32 it's now 35.

You're welcome, PsionicFox. ;-)

Just one question out of curiosity... how do you get a +17 in knowledge history? Does PHII (which I haven't read) allow that in knowledges or am I missing a feat?

Nice catch, that's supposed to be Knowledge (history) +7. Fixed it already.

Name: Gaius Octavian Cicero
Race/Class: LN Human Male Diviner 5/Sorcerer 1
Appearance: Gaunt, long-haired, dark-eyed... Gaius is a proud son of Rema.
Background: Seer, philosopher, freedom fighter.

To the Archivist: For your consideration. Note that Gaius replaced his summon familiar ability with various alternative class features. If you need more detail the background, just let me know.

To the Archivist: I have no objections if you will allow PsionicFox in the game. If this is a democracy, he has my vote. If this is any other system of government, who do we have to bribe to get him in?

To PsionicFox: How are you there in Australia?

I'll finish Gaius' background and stats later. There is a rough sketch of his stats in his profile.
