As a red-haired twin, Gabra was destined for greatness on the sacrificial altars of her Northern homeland in her twelfth year. Her brother died at dawn, but before she could join him in glory, fire swept the village and the rite was desecrated. Cursed and exiled by her people Gabra found her way to Saltmarsh where she ekes out a curious living taking the troubles of others upon herself. She sees this as suitable. She is already cursed and the cause of harm. Absorbing the woes of others may in time allow her to fulfil her original destiny.
Recently, her dreams are pulling her to the sea. She knows with certainty that a ship is hers.
