People have been junking and throwing out everything they can so that all of their crap can fit in their cars. It's like the Dust Bowl, only with spoiled rich kids from NYC instead of poor dirt farmers. A few hours ago, I watched a guy dump a large cardboard box full of shoes into a trash compactor. After my shift got out at 1:30 AM, I drove around campus stealing s~++ out of dumpsters, and managed to get a nice desk chair, a full set of sheets (still in their packaging), a cork bulletin board, a bookcase, a full set of pots and pans, and a half-sized refrigerator. These kids don't know how the world works. I had an acquaintance back in the day who used to drive up to Syracuse just to go dumpster diving for some of the things these guys were throwing out. One year he got a PS1(this is back when it was almost-new, I think the PS2 came out later that year), a smallish TV(still free) and a few other things. If I had a car, I would do it.
Wasn't too impressed with today's episode..I'll take it as a bit of a hiccup and move on.
Also, wolfthulu, have you played Cthulhu Saves The World? Because if you haven't, you really should.

There's a May 5th holiday I can get behind. Wow. What an interesting name for a holiday...
Geeze, Zombie, why didn't you say it was your birthday today!! You're FORTY MAN!!!!! We need to celebrate. If only we could do ~1000 posts to make it to 50K for the undead birthday!!

But seriously, the acting was awful. I don't know whether to blame the actors or the director. The main characters look either bored or confused.
I couldn't get through the first 20 minutes.

On the other hand, yesterday at my FLGS, I bought some more Pathfinder minis for myself - got a Minotaur, a guardsman, the iconic paladin, and one other I can't remember at the moment.
Then when I stopped at Popeyes and ordered my 3 strip dinner, I had to wait about 10 minutes for it. When they finally brought it out, I had like 7 or 8 strips in the box. So that made lunch and a small dinner! Huzzah!
And I watched part one of the Fringe season finale!

Now I did like ILC, to me at least it was better SNL than SNL was. Although I hold it to blame for Jim Carrey's brand of dumb ass comedy flooding the industry. Everybody thinks that SNL was at it best whenever they were 20 years old. It doesn't matter when that was: if you were 20 in 1978, you think it was best with Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray; if you were 20 in 1988, you say it was best when it had Dana Carvey et al; if you were 20 in 1995, you say it was best in the Chris Farley era; if you were 20 in 2001, like me, you think it was best with Will Farrell and co. That's my theory. I have to disagree- I enjoyed it all through it's life, with it only getting stupid when lord knows who behind the scenes was so much in love with Adam Sandler that they let him upstage literally everyone.
I really liked the dog town. I also LOVED the shield designs for the pit fight, they reminded me of the shields from 08 MS Team, one of my all time favorite Gundam series.

do you have these in America?
in rural germany it is a big thing, I think it has many similaritie to,your high school prom.
first you have to go to Confirmatio-Lectures once a week for one year, go to church most sundays in that year.
The Confirmation is the first time you wear formal cloth, the girls a dress the boys a suit with necktie.
You get A LOT of money from your relativs and he whole village (usually everyone your parents know sends at least 5 Euro) boys buy often buy their first small moped with it.
big party with the whole family, then some adults (usually uncles) will give you your first beer (mixed with coke or lemonade)
in the early evening all the Konfirmanten from the village gather for the "Walkabout" they go togeher and visit every party and ge a little bit of alcohol everywhere (in most villages the parents make sure no one gets to drunk)
afterwards it will be OK to drink cola-beer in public (but you are not alowed to buy beer until you are 16)
in older times, after the Konfirmation you where concidered an adult Main-school ended and you started to learn a Profession
That beats the crap out of my confirmation. I was just able to get the wafer and wine afterwards and that's about it. I did get my first bible though, which I still have, and will probably give to my children when they are of age.
Thank you, jal dorak, for your unflinching critique.

1. The magician. As awesome as we have a been lead to believe Einstein was, I have never thought him to be overly intelligent, just possessed of a semi - unique ability to create types of mathematical patterns and thinking that he could understand and get others to understand as well.
2. I am a Sagittarius born in the year of the horse. Killing one (not in game, mind) for a rather dubious reason would be horrid, and may bring serious bad juju.
3. Probably the skull. I assure you I will forget about it in time.
To me, Defenders >>>>>>>>>>>> Avengers. That said, I really don't care for the "goofy" aspect they bring to the title every time they remember the team exists.

Moorluck wrote: Freehold DM wrote: Moorluck wrote: doctor_wu wrote: Am I the only person that doesn't really seem to care here one way or the other? About the movie? Yeah, I think you may be. For me it's being such a huge Avengers fan that I can't wait to see them on film. Hey, I didn't know you were an Avengers fan? Who is your favorite(and least favorite) character? Cap is my all time favorite, but Thor and Wasp, Janet, rank real close. Then there's She Hulk, I wish they'd not made her a joke, she is easy in the top 10.
Least... the new "cap", you know the former terrorist, is most hated. But Iron Man, the comic version, is right up there too, and I really am sick of the Hulk. And his rainbow brigade of knock-offs.
How 'bout yours? Let's see..To me, Avengers has always been a very Justice League esque team, where characters are only supposed to be on the team for a year or so, and then move on to give others a chance to shine. I really didn't get into Avengers until relatively recently, with the new 3D-Man being introduced to the team and the team having to face issues with perceived racism. GREAT scene with Cap where he had to face down that problem. My favorite Avenger? Probably Hawkeye, if only because he gives everyone such crap and things are NEVER boring when he's around, especially in a leadership position. I also liked Hank Pym, especially the side of him they showed in the cartoon series, but I don't like the "I'm kinda crazy and I beat my wife when I'm in a bad mood due to Pym Particles!!!" side they kept pushing in the regular version as well as Ultimate. I also really liked it when USAgent was on the team, being such a hardass that even Hawkeye had to say something. Least favorite? Iron man, considering what he did recently. I also hate the Scarlet Witch and Vision, if only because they monopolized so much time in the 90's...I have no idea why they weren't just kicked off the team, they caused so much trouble/drama....
I wonder what's gonna assemble now that I'm nekkid...
Why the sniffling and sighing? I thought everyone loved you, hence the thread.

As for Kickstarter, I couldn't imagine people actually pulling together to pay for a shoot for me, I don't think I'm that popular. Which really, I wouldn't drop money on a chick to have photos done either, so I don't expect others to do so.

Wow, you hate avatar without even watching it? I didn't even know you hated Cameron this much, or that he was so universally despised. To be clear, I *do*hate titanic and the hoopla that followed the film, and while I do like avatar(and the stunning avatar cosplay I saw on occasion)., I do not approve of the foaming at the mouth fanaticism of the film. It was just a pretty movie with some stunning effects (giant robots yay) and a rather tired storyline that I didn't have to work to keep up with. I find Cameron to be something of a boor, personally. Joseph Abboud is good. So is Brooks Brothers. And the zombie is right about JC Penney having good quality shirts. Solid colors are better if you're going for a crazy color. Pattern is tricky. And whatever you do no pleats in the front on pants. It's not flattering.
....now if I could just get Dan to be able to remember that...oh who am I kidding? It's never going to happen. The guy thinks there are 8 colors and that if you have two things that are blue they will of course match. And never mind about complementary and supplementary colors. This leads to awful color combinations that would make others blind to have to look on. So I get dragged along to make sure that doesn't happen. Which would be why I know so much about guy's clothes.
