Subscriptions are convenient!

Nobody can have 5 ranks in Knowledge, for we are only level 3.

You mean 2 ranks and 3 bonus ranks for being a class skill?

Too true on the other points though.

I'd go with 7. Seven is a great number!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

Ha! There's still the special deal with the Charter Superscribers!

Did he mean last monday the 4th or next monday, the 11th?

Seeker? You out there?

No. Unexpected movement can disrupt your concentration.

Thought so, but was worth a try.

Thanks.

12 and 13 are both in the warehouse, so they should ship soon. Some, if not most of the subscribers already have access to the pdf's of both, so you should not have to wait any much longer.

(Male Human Technician 8)

Am I able to prepare the spells while riding on the back of the riding dog?

(Male Human Technician 8)

I'm glad you are okay and it was not too bad after all.

And: nice battlemap!

(Male Human Technician 8)

Thanks. That's the reminder I needed. Pretty good reasons to fight for Andoran.

(Male Human Technician 8)

Mishi: Please remind me again, why Cheliax is so bad in the view of Merrik, appart from invading Andoran?

True but roleplaying XP has not been explicit in the rule IIRC until very recently. The DNA of the game is kill monsters and take their stuff.

I thought 3.x stated somewhere, that you get XP for overcoming an encounter. True, the word encounter implies a fight, but why do some DM's speak of social encounters then?

As kessukoofah said: your not wrong. The DNA of the game IS 'kill monsters and take their stuff'. That's where the game comes from.

What more can one say. Too true in all points.

keeping myself on standby until you are ready to proceed the game.
good luck!

You know I've been reading up on the rules and it seems to imply that the 8 hour rest is only relevant to arcane casters; divine casters apparently can prepare spells provided that they have sufficient concentration at the appointed hour, i.e. morning, midnight, dusk.

I thought they had to rest too, but appearently that's not true.

d20srd.org wrote:
Time spent resting has no effect on whether a cleric can prepare spells.

There is still the question, if we have the hour to prepare them...

(Male Human Technician 8)

So, did we get enough sleep to prepare our spells?

Are we even able to prepare them, with the flood and all?

Okay, good timing...

Not really. But I think a thread in the Gamer Connect can take care of that.
I haven't found my Box of In Nomine Satanis / Magna Veritas as of now.
Also I discovered that the German and French "In Nomine Satanis" and the English "In Nomine" aren't exactly the same... I think the difference is in Style and Feel of the game, not in the rules as both use the d666.

As for L5R: I played some Oriental Adventures, but that's about it. I'm not really interested in it.

What exactly is the problem you see there? It's not as if the removal of the x4 multiplier at first level makes a charcter's skill values worse. A first level Pathfinder character with 1 rank in a skill has the same total skill bonus than a 3.5 first level character with four ranks.

Only if it's a class skill. Characters that invest heavily in cross-class-skills have much less skill points to do that.

Appart from that, I really like the changes to the skill-system.

But that has nearly nothing to do with the Favored Class bonus.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, GameMastery Cards Subscriber)

There was a nice way around to make money slowly, but good.

just buy 100 arrows, then sell them 1 at a time.

when you buy them the whole 100 cost like 30-70 gold, but while selling it back you get 1 gold for 1 arrow.

It had a positive side effect, but I can't seem to remember. Had something to do with the skill...

KC,

Spoiler:
you do know what games "In Nomine Satanis / Magna Veritas" are?

From that post, it does not seem that way...

In 'In Nomine Satanis' you most likely play a devil, while 'Magna Veritas' lets you play an angel, in a World much similar to ours.

Just to be sure, we are talking about the same thing...

I thought of Sid, the sloth from Ice Age.

you can call me 'Master of Flames' then!

Radavel: Do you really think we take hints like that? :D

(Male Human Technician 8)

Updated the character page with Fjyndel Druid 3 and the advanced Grendel.

For Grendel: Justin Slunder, Oliver and myself adapted the 3.5 riding dog to PF-RPG as good as possible.
Please look over it and tell me if it is okay, or what needs to be changed.

And the new magic items!

Tears of Chuck Norris

These potion contains, contrary to its name, only one tear of Chuck Norris, diluted with water and alcohol.
Effect: Drinking the potion restores all ability damage and heals all wounds, infections, illnesses and other detrimental effects a character might have. Furthermore it permanently increases the characters Strength and Constitution ability scores by +8 and the Dexterity ability score by +4.

Hey Franz, looking over your character i noticed a few things that may need correcting, i say may since i've never played that class or race.

1. shouldn't your hp's = 10? looks like you omited your Con bonus
2. Diplomancy is a cc skill which exceed your alloment of skill points by 2, total skill points should = 4
3. a Warhammer is a martial weapon and your class starts off only with simple, unless thats a race thing?
4. your Explorers outfit is free

Thanks for the Heads up. Will look over it again.

Edit: You are totally right.
Added the Con bonus, took out the rank(s) in Diplomacy, searching for a new weapon.

On the Explorers outfit: why would that be free?

(Male Human Technician 8)

Came back earlier than I thought. Post is up.

Mishi:

Spoiler:

Will do.
I have the gazetteer, will look into it then.

I'm out of the office today, mostly.
Be back tomorrow, or maybe later today.

(Male Human Technician 8)

Ah, okay, yeah. Can do.

But later today. I'm out of the office today, no internet for some hours.

(Male Human Technician 8)

Mishi:

Spoiler:

I like the "Desperate Helper"-Idea. It also would be a hook for the military of Andoran.
If I had a name of an appropriate town, I would write it immediately into the Background.

Thanks!

I'm waiting for the PBP-Thread now.

The game will be advancing to the day of the festival soon.

Sorry, did not see that post yesterday.

Yes, I'm still here.
I'm waiting for the next day to roll in, then Stergan will appear, coming from the south.

But I think I'm gonna stay to the English, original version.

I'm thinking of a human Paladin now... not much of a healer, but better than nothing. I don't like Clerics and I can't think of an interessting Druid to play.

(Male Human Technician 8)

Yeah, they get Stomp 1/day. Which he probably won't ever use, for it effects everything in the radius, friends and foes alike... (as I read it).

But okay, have to think of something else then.

We still need a healer, don't we?
