Personality:
Ford believes himself to be a future god, specifically a replacement deity for Aroden. He believes he is destined to be a god a protection, healing, strength and community, and adheres to his own set of tenants that he strives to live out for others to emulate. At it's core, he claims that endurance above all things will lead to fortune and prosperity, and should someone come to you seeking aid, to never turn them away, doing all in your power to aid them if you can. However, one must also see to oneself, so the beauty and holiness is NOT in aiding everyone, but striving to balance the personal needs with those who come to you for help. Self-reliance is admirable, but a lack of it is nothing to be ashamed of. Actions speak louder than words, and in the end are the only things that truly count. His mark is a shield flanked by broken arrows.
Ford's attempt to emulate godhood clashes strongly with his personality, and he struggles with this on a regular basis. He has an impulsive streak a mile wide, and thinking on things in the long term is a challenge for him. His instincts demand a degree of selfishness on his part, and on occasion, he's lazy, typically overlooking things or skimming over them when he shouldn't.
Ford calls on Irori for aid in his quest to achieve godhood. His reasoning is that he is attempting to refine himself to a perfect form. His parents worshiped Irori, and his mother even received divine aid in his birth; however, Ford sees Irori as a future ally more than a deity. He comes to Irori for aid with the intent of one day being able to return the favor to the divine being.
