Monty Haul wrote: Heading out into the garden, it takes Flint a few minutes to scrounch up a handful of berries suitable for use with his spell. It appears that the half-orc who ran out is long gone, the gate you entered the garden wide open. Returning inside, Flint finds the rest of the group gathered at the top of the stairs around Grunthor. Flint's Goodberry Spell:4=2+2.
"There are not as many berries from my spell as I had hoped, but he will atleast be farther from death." Just reread the spell, each berry heals 1 point and he won't need to eat/drink for 24 hours.
*Flint turns to Damandor*
I apoligize. I had hoped Nature alone could heal our ally, but it would seem Corellon may be needed as well."
Grunthor Firbolg wrote: Assuming that Grunthor lost 1 point before being stabilized, he is at -5 hp at this time. "Save your power friend cleric, I have a spell ready that can help, but I need fresh berries first."
Flint shall cautiously go back to the garden in search of berries(for the goodberry spell), listening for enemies while searching. He's to worried about his ally to listen too carefully though.
Pearception(Search):25=17+8.
Perception(Listen):9=1+8.
Flint shall continue using his acid dart on the burglar he hit before.
TouchAtk:18=17+1.
Acid Damage:5=4+1 .
I don't care that you moved his attack, it's was a perfectly acceptable thing to do.
Flint shall stick near Eland to protect the unarmored mage should battle begin. He listen for any sound that might seems out of place, he knows mages can become become unseen...
Perception(listen): 3+8=11.
Flint readies his shield and warhammer
Flint becomes momentarily preoccupied with the garden, but he snaps out of it.
"I didn't expect to see green power in this city..."
Flint looks almost comical as he tries to be sneaky(He put his shield away so he could do it easier). He does pretty good for a dwarf.
Stealth: 17=20-3.
*dropping his facade of a gruff dwarf.*
"I can see very well in the dark, and I have a spell to illuminate someone so you can target them. But I'm not what you'd call a 'sneak'..."
perception:12=8+4
"And so we continue toward our goal..."
"I will defend myself if need be. But I say we run."
Stealth: 14-4=10
Flint readies a spell of his own should Eland be detected before his spell goes off.(Flare to at least slow one of the guards)
"So Eland, ye be saying we be chosen cause we fit some prophecy? That is the Nature of such things I guess. I will do whatever our little group choses to do."
Sorry for not posting lately. My connection went down at my house and I only just got some free time to use the library computers. Flint's spells will stay the same.
Flint, in his boredom, begins to see how many plants he can remember and there uses. Every now and then he pulls out a small leater bound book to check if he is correct. He stops after a while and just stares out the window gaps.
Is it legal to fish from the docks? If so, when he wakes up Flint will go fishing. If not he will play with the cats that came in seeking shelter from last night.
As the music start to play a black cat and her kittens enter the warehouse, seeking shelter from the storm. They move toward Flint as if drawn to him. He uses a spare blanket to dry them off, then he turns it into a little hide-away for them. He leaves a bit of dried meat for them and returns to watching the storm raging outside.
"Always nice to help some new friends..."
Eland Westlocke wrote: Eland thanks the gods for a warm, dry resting place. He informs demandor that he has luckily escaped the events of the evening unscathed. It does not take long for curiosity to get the better of him and he climbs up to the mezzanine and out onto a few rafters. After cavorting for a half hour, Eland comes back down to the group, removes his flute from his pack and starts to play a slow, melancholy melody that seems to fit his mood. After playing a short time, he asks if anyone has any requests and offers to stay awake for the first shift if others would like to get some sleep. "Know ye any dwarven tunes?"
*realizing that something could be amiss, Flint silently draws his warhammer, ready should they be attacked again.*
*upoun hearing what the hunt is, Flint blanches*
"If they dare think the can conquer the forests they will have to deal with me, my brothers, and my sisters..."
made it by 2
*whispers to Garret*
"What hunt are they talking about?"
*pulls a small flower from within his cloak, holding it close to his nose*
"Uh, these fools didn't wash there robes before fighting us eh?"
*begins searching the dead cultists, hoping to find a clue as to who sent them*
Perception(search):15=7+8
"I shall follow you Garret, for my eyes are near as keen as a hawk's."
"A good fight my friends! What now? We know someone wants this crate, the question is who?"
Flint stares off for a moment deep in thought, then snaps out of it and puts away his scimitar, pulling out his warhammer and giving it a test swing.
"Let's not be caught off gaurd again, eh?"
Flint moves to O7 and fling acid at the cultist at T7
Ranged Touch:8=7+1
If that hits
Acid Damage:4=3+1
He then shouts
"Come and face me you fool tall ones! Or do you fear a dwarf who call upoun the forces of Nature?!?"
It is clear he enjoys fighting in the storm.
Flint takes a five foot step to Flank with Ivan and to hit the man in Ivan's grip with the flat of his blade for nonlethal damage(-4 to attack roll)
Scimitar
Melee:14=14-4+2+2(flank bonus)
Nonlethal Damage:4=2+2
Shouts "Keep one alive! We may be able to find out who sent them!"
Sorry the boards weren't working for me earlier.
Flint moves to assist An, flinging acid at the smuggler(but staying back so as to not provoke and AoO for the ranged attack).
Acid Bolt: 13 ranged touch but only 3 points of damage.
Flint just stares at them intently, hand on his warhammer should it be needed.
Flint is enjoying the wind and rain so much he's going to know if something disturbs nature's music.
Perception:18=10+8.

[common]"Your plan is good I shall leave in a huff, few would get in an angry dwarf's way."[/common]
not going to roll, as Flint's not from here.
Leaning back in his chair Flint says: "At least the beers good. So how exactly are we destined to play a part in the times to come?"
Hale and well met fellow adventurers!
My name is Flint Earthbrother, and I'm one of the rare dwarven druids.
Unlike the others though I'm more interested in the sky, storms, and the sea. So I left the Underdark to better experience these things.
Currently, I'm looking for a job to fund my research of herbs from the sea.
While looking around a sullen-looking dwarf slips in through the door and goes to the bar to order some spiced mead. After getting his mead he asks where Antius has his private table.
I'll have his stat changes and background up sometime in the next 24 hours.
To clarify ,do you have a specific amount of gold for us to start with or should we use what the beta says we get(for our class) at first level?
Monty Haul wrote: Db3's Astral Projection wrote: Is it to late to join?
I would like to play this character(I used 32 point buy but can change it) Flint. If you'd like to re-generate stats as a 20-point buy, that would be fine. One potential problem is that the campaign is heavily urban based - although it is likely you will leave the city at some point, it won't be for particularly long stretches. Both druids and rangers are extremely rare within Bastion and may find it difficult to shine. Do you think you can work within those constraints? The 20-point buy from beta or from DMG 3.5?
Jason Nelson wrote:
but unlike the others kinds of light armor, chain shirt can be made mithril[/QUOTE="Jason Nelson"]
You can make studded leather out of mithral because the studs are metal(otherwise druids could wear it).
Krome wrote: And then there are "odd" choices to have fun with- dwarven druids, dwarven bards, dwarven monks!
Drarven sorcerers, duskblades, beguilers, warlocks, wu jen, hexblades, etc, etc...
They can be boring sometimes...
But dwarves can be fun to play, especially if you can play a drunken master!

Yeah leave the Blue Grass alone... wait BLUE GRASS!?!?
A machine? Ha! Dwarves could make better constructs so easily!
I assisted in the forging of Cyber Dragonborn Froggie after all.
