Finn will take the lead, scanning with Detect Magic and taking 10 to detect traps each step of the way.

Finn puts the ring in a pocket and pulls Daurros out of the pit.

"Well, that can't have been the cache of weapons we heard of, so let's keep looking."

Finn describes the chamber to the rest of the party. To be on the safe side, he also uses a charge from his wand of Mirror Image.

"Okay, I'm at the top now. It seems safe enough," he calls down. Is there a room or entrance at the top?

Finn examines the steps of the ziggurat for traps. (still taking 10)

If he doesn't find any, he says: "I'm going up!" and leads the way forward (invisibly).

"Sounds good to me!" Finn agrees. He refreshes his invisibility and mage armor and checks the main stairs for traps.

That's what Finn suggests. Any teleport jaunts to Sasserine can probably wait -- we might want to sell some of the stuff from the jaguar temple as well, for instance.

Finn already has two nifty rings, so he's fine. And, as noted, he isn't short of magic items at this point.

Finn will pay a night-time visit to Amella, and will also check to see how the local militia is doing with their spear training. But otherwise he wishes to waste no time.

Did we ever find out what those magic items from the Sea Wyvern were?

I assume that since we've lost Ardanto's player, he'll oversee the repair of his ship.

Finn voices his opinion. "I say we find the secret weapons of the cat men next. If we can find better weapons, then that will make any other dangerous task easier. Who knows what monsters we might have to face on our way to the tar pits?"

Since Ardanto is the captain, perhaps he'll want to stay on board the Sea Wyvern while we tow it back.

Wow, I totally missed this update as well.

Finn helps search the hold for traps, treasure and secret compartments as well. take 10 on Perception = 35


I'm currently playing an "Abyssal Disciple" in our Savage Tide play-by-post game.

The GM suggested switching out the Abyssal bloodline powers (Strength of the Abyss and Added Summonings) for the Draconic ones (Breath Weapon and Wings) which is a mixed bag: Strength of the Abyss is awesome, but I'd rather have Wings than Added Summonings.

I think the idea is to keep most of the powers the same, but I don't think anything has been decided about what to do with Dragon Form yet (assuming my PC gets that far, which is not terribly likely).

While Ardanto and the other nautical folks look over the ship, Finn turns back invisible and keeps watch for the magic flounder, or whatever the hell it was that attacked them.

He swims towards the boat, cancelling his Invisibility.
