Finn falls asleep fairly quickly, seemingly exhausted. His sleep is troubled, however, and he tosses and turns, moaning incoherently. Suddenly he cries out in his sleep and his hands fly to his face, sprouting cruel claws. Before Toxim can stop him, he tears at his flesh...

Finn looks terrible -- whether it's the oppressive heat, or the labour of dragging Urol's petrified form, or the drubbing he received at the hands of the elven mummy, his complexion looks even greyer than it has of late and he looks sweaty and ill. "See that Urol gets carefully packed with the rest of the cargo. We don't want him to get chipped before we reach Farshore. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to string a hammock on deck and take a rest. I feel rather poorly all of a sudden." Once they reach the ship, Finn stumbles off to retire early.

Finn looks at the necklace, and then glances up at the ceiling thoughtfully. After a moment, he says grudgingly: "I suppose we could try to bargain for a cure to Urol's condition. Although one could make an argument that he's safer now as-is than when he's running around the ship without regard to his own personal safety..."

Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14, with evasion
Guys, we have to run away or die, I think. If he's still conscious and/or alive, Finn will flurry with his spear. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 132d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 3) + 5 = 11 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 272d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 4) + 5 = 13

Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 Finn keeps stabbing away at the prostrate form. assuming he's not dead yet use a ki point for an extra attack; I think this is his last one 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 202d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 4) + 7 = 15 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 172d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 5) + 7 = 17 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 232d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 3) + 7 = 16

Ardanto, I think your attack bonus is actually +9, not +10 -- remember that bull's strength doesn't stack with your belt of strength Giant-sized Finn stabs at the elf three more times. use a ki point for an extra attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 252d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 3) + 7 = 12 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 192d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 4) + 7 = 14 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 212d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 1) + 7 = 10
Silt wrote: What are your guys thoughts on the serpent strike feat from the Eberron Campaign Setting (ability to use the long spear as a monk weapon)? Is it worthwhile? Being able to flurry at 10 foot reach seems pretty nice. I have a monk that uses it and I quite like it. Of course, you can't use Stunning Fist through it unless you fork out for Ki Focus or take a feat like Cornugon Stun. The one tricky part is that you can't qualify for the feat very quickly. It requires Weapon Focus which is not possible for a level 1 monk to take. So you might be stuck taking Serpent Strike at level 5.

Elvish:
Spoiler:
"Unless you can identify your heirs, I believe that we have as much right to this property as anyone else; once you're dead, your right of ownership ends. Certainly you'll agree that it's not being put to good use just lying on your chest," Finn reasons. To the others, in Common:

good thing Finn turned off the mercifulness of his spear...despite the GM's "no undead" comment Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29, +4 vs. enchantment Finn thrusts his chin out defiantly at the dead elf's attempt to intimidate them. In Elvish:
Spoiler: "Who are you? Do you know that your civilization is long dead? There is nothing for you to guard any more."

Oh well, they can suck it. I wonder if you feel about me like I feel about them? Yes. You are welcome to "suck it". :-) On the other hand, you're also welcome to buy a set of Eyes of the Eagle; they're fairly cheap and effective.
