Good deal!

I hope so. I've been taking part in the open playtest of the Advanced Player's Guide as well so there may be some comparison by me of the two types of witches. In the one campaign I was planning I was working out Witch as a Sorcerer bloodline though...

Unless there is some reason you can't have them, may I please suggest an upcoming Bestiary include the lupin race? I have the write up for them in the one Dragon hardcover Paizo put out a ways back. Also can we please put back the Werebear? My other main totem is Grizzly so I have interest in potentially playing ursine humanoids.

There are certain places I could see new races existing but folks would think them something else. Specifically anthropomorphic animal races. I can imagine a Golarion version of the lupin existing in Darkmoon Vale where they get mistaken for werewolves all the time. In Cheliax they could pose as Tieflings and few would be the wiser...

OK, just hopefully fixed the problem with the credit card for ordering this. I just hope that it gets precessed ASAP so it can eventually finds its weary way to my door. And that I get the PDF of it as a preview...

The author and those that have read this know of what I speak and it's not a complaint as the weapon chosen is one that takes advantage of great strength. Interesting, I'm going to keep an eye out for more from this company.

I assume you're speaking of Brun and the bastard sword. The bastard sword has always been envisioned as his favored weapon because he is primarily followed by barbaric or semi-barbaric peoples and in our visions there was a distinct influence from Robert E. Howard on those people's culture (yet to be described in detail). Thus, it was an easy leap to a Conan-esque bastard sword as the favored weapon.

Glad you like the book!

Exactly, although reading the entry did something for me that you could not have anticipated in that it sparked a flip in focus in some of my story telling efforts. Basically the entry on Brun was a kind of awareness notice from one of my totems. Which begs the question of what might Brun's reaction might be to a race of humanoid and humanized bears?

OK, next paycheck I may just do a pre-order. This sounds good.
Glad to hear it!

The first two books you did positively impressed me. You books for Pathfinder done and I like what I see so I'll continue to buy books until you put out material I don't want to look at.

Heh, I bark at them before work and get a phone call that the book has arrived around 9 PM by a room mate. I still have yet to read it through but it looks good so far. The one thing that caught my eye right away was the Musketeer Combat Style for Rangers pg. 185. Good start but the way combat styles work now you need more there. When I finished reading this I'll make a more complete write up to flesh out the style for use with the Pathfinder Ranger. I see a lot of potential here.

Another temptation, I will have to see what's in the budget next paycheck but anything inspired by Lovecraft gets my immediate attention.

OK, I need to have it out with the postal service, after cancelling the book from Amazon and having FRPGames.com send the book to me via the USPS I find out today that the package was delivered yesterday. Where? I don't know but it wasn't to me where it should have been delivered.

OK, next paycheck I may just do a pre-order. This sounds good.

A part of me hates to say this but this volume is the one I am most excited about in the whole freaking series. PCs get to visit a museum and play around! Never saw Night at the Museum but I've enjoyed many a story and heard numerous OTR shows where part of the adventure takes place in some place like this. I wish I could afford to visit local museums more often but visiting them in a virtual manner is the next best thing.

OK, this just went on my "To Get" list

I got an email from Nick Logue a month or so ago assuring me that it was well on its way. I expect another email from him when he is ready to ship. I may be a dummy but I pre-ordered his game mastery book coming out next year. But I trust in the quality of his work.

Not to be a pain in the tail, but it's now November 2009, I do hope Razor Coast is just about ready to go.

Well, I am watching and waiting to order this. From Lulu, from here, from somewhere.

I am interested although I just hope you don't come down with the same sort of problems Nick Logue has been plagued with for Razor Coast.

I'm going to check it out at some point but may I assume there will be a print version?

I'm waiting for the print to come out but it sounds interesting. I've been kicking around a few ideas in my head for a Witch bloodline for sorcerers but I am looking forward to seeing what this book does with the concept.

We're very happy that you are pleased with The Book of Arcane Magic, and thanks for letting us know you heard about it on Atomic Array!

The Book of Divine Magic is still on track for a late September release and hope that you'll find it just as interesting and useful. It'll have new spells & deities for your ranger, new suggestions for your ranger's animal companions, and magic items (including relics) that can be used by your ranger.

And coming in October is Paths of Power: A Sourcebook of Base and Prestige Classes. If you use prestige classes, you might enjoy the Crypt Stalker PrC, which is being designed as a specialized undead hunter PrC for Rangers.

Yes, I am very much looking forward to the Divine book. The other sourcebook sounds like it will be worth checking out as well.

I am thinking of starting up something of a new adventure path of my own locally but I'm having trouble thinking of who to make the big bad end boss. I'm thinking Wilderness oriented campaign in a kind of Frozen North type world. I am looking for some bits of advice from the boards.

1) One of the main books I am adapting to this is Frostburn which was one of my favorite environment books from 3rd Ed. How would you adapt the Frost Mage prestige class and especially specialization in cold spells as presented in Frostburn to Pathfinder RPG?

2) Major monsters, I am anticipating the new bestiary coming out but I'm still wondering what sort of major nasty I can make as the one behind everything. A part of me is thinking on revisiting Rise of the Runelords with another one waking up but this time instead of such a focus on stone giants I will be using a lot of frost giants. Were any of the Runelords associated with a frozen territory?

I actually have a copy of the one d20 Neo-Exodus book that already has info on these races. I may just adapt that to the new rules as necessary.

I heard about Arcane Magic on Atomic Array and bought a copy. I'm very much impressed. Suffice to say I will be very interested in the Divine Magic version even more as I play Rangers more often than not but as I am usually the GM I needed to get Arcane Magic and see if I would allow it to be used by my players. It passed the test. I may or may not use all the bloodlines but I really enjoyed that portion of the book. My only complaint is with the layout, more specifically the spells which I thinks should have been the last chapter, not the first. But that is a minor quibble and I really liked the Genie and Nightmarish bloodlines for sorcerers. Although for different reasons. I so want to make a villain for my players of the nightmare bloodline.

OK, time for the resident wolf man pain in the tail to give his dastardly opinion. First off this is great news since I like the tweaks they made in the PFRPG. What would I like to see get revised to the new rules?

Tome of Horrors (all 3 providing they cross reference with the Bestiary coming out soon to make sure the same monsters are not in both books)

Grimtooth ('Nuff said)

Glades of Death and Dead Man's Chest

Book of Taverns

Bard's Gate

Stuff from the Sword and Sorcery line including the critter books and the magic books (I was a contributor to Relics and Rituals 2 and would love to see the spells I sent in and got printed redone for Pathfinder) as well as the class books and adapt the Carnival to Golarion. Especially the Carnival of Shadows; that was simply too good and nasty a concept to be consigned to the dustbin of gamer history.

I have this on pre-order with Amazon. Sounds like it could be good. But I'll wait till I have the dead tree version in my grubby paws to pass judgment.

Another neat thing about Razor Coast is that now it is being offered in Pathfinder RPG format as well. I'm hearing a November release in print which is still a few months off but I've waited this long, I will wait for the release and enjoy myself.

The silly thing has been at least a year in coming. Yes, I still want it and the indulgences in print but I'm not holding out much hope on the latter. I go to a furry con in CT in Oct. If I have enough time to read the adventure before hand I may keep that as an option to what I am running there.

Yeah, are you even still alive ?

Like you know, I could organise a friendly necromancer to show up if you really need it ...

Hi All!

I officially go on leave from my day job this week - which means I am full time on Sinister starting now. First up to bat is Razor Coast, so I hope to have all the editing on this titanic manuscript put to bed in the next couple of weeks so it can go to layout.

I am looking at getting PDFs to all the pre-orders (at least) by October, hopefully printed books by then as well.

Thanks for hanging in there everyone!

There will be a new wave of Indulgences up at bat as soon as I am done editing Razor Coast as well, and then Gazetteer of the Known Universe is on the editing plate after that. Thanks for your continued patience!

Nick...er...Nikita

I like the concept of the book and while a part of me is getting impatient, my main totems are wolf and bear, so if the pdf and the book come my way by October I'll be happy to see the finished book.

Thanks for your patience everyone! I will chip away at RC during this busy time, but as soon as summer rolls around (in a month and a half) I will gloriously have NOTHING to do for my day job (the joy of acadamia), and can finally put Sinister Adventures first again (and for three full months until October). I can't friggin wait!

I'll just be patient then. This is so far the only book for my preferred system to do much of anything with Polynesian culture. I have my Tiki obsession to think of so while I am getting sick of waiting for RC. I will wait for the finished product to be done and in my paws.

Anything new about Razor Coast for those of us that have put in a pre order? I'm starting to think I may need to ask Pele herself to help you out. Either that, Nick, or have her light a fire in a location of her choosing. I am a witch and a neo-pagan. I can find some ritual to Pele if look hard enough...

Just out of curiosity could anyone do a Sibeccai Ranger of Sarenrae? Physically he's a 6'7" 300 lbs humanoid jackal with black fur, orange tiger stripes and an orange ankh on his chest (all Sibeccai in this have an ankh somewhere on their body marking them as belonging to Sarenrae, an idea I had to adapt the race to Pathfinder from Arcana Evolved). He is a desert ranger/dervish with twin scimitars, in Legacy of Fire he is a native of Osirion who hired on as a mercenary to kill gnolls. If he survives House of the Beast he's taking that axe as a trophy, the Carrion King's axe, as his way to benefit from the All Gnolls Must Die! feat.

Good point. I keep forgetting about the free pdfs.

I'd love to see you do one for the Mutants & Masterminds system. They are just getting out their fantasy book Warriors and Warlocks which from the reviews looks like one of the best M&M books so far. There are no other premade adventures for it some of the contained demo settings stuff is Pirates of Freeport which fits in well. Add to that that the conversion between it and True20 doesn't take much :)

I'm waiting for the print book to come out although the pdf is available now I hear. M&M and True20 work on very similar principals so what works for the one more or less works for the other. But in any case, I can work out most conversions myself. I'm just waiting to hear when it will get shipped out and to my door.

Steam Punk pistols and rifles with or without bayonets are excellent ideas. If Paizo ever does an item card set for Steam Punk adventures with either or both those items I know I'd want a copy.

I keep checking here for updates. Just out of curiosity, Nick, when will Razor Coast be ready for release? I'm a patient woofie but I am very much looking forward to reading this puppy.

Truer words have seldom been spoken amidst this community. The cards in these collections are pure gold. Heck, I've even used one or two as visual references for commissions I pay for at conventions.

Hmm...maybe I'll have to bust out my old Al-Qadim stuff now and adapt it to the region.

I had a few problems with Al-Qadim initially that necessitated house rules to correct. The fact it was bereft of furry races for one but there are plenty of patches for that. The other was the Corsair kit which excluded rangers, my problem with that was that a Corsair or Pirate warrior is something a ranger would excel at. I understand that it might have been because it was a sea based character but my counter to that is that if played as a druid's answer to the paladin, i.e. a sacred warrior of nature then the sea is a natural environment.

Now for this I would use Monte Cook's sibbeccai from Arcana Unearthed/Evolved as a possible race and foil for the gnolls but that's just me. I'll also be looking to see what info they might provide for playing a reformed gnoll or at least a renegade as Drizzt was a rogue drow.

I'm fairly excited to see this. I am reserving judgement till it arrives though. A new adventure path starts here with a low level oriented adventure in the desert. Although it looks like pieces of this are drawn from the bones of Al-Qadim.

Has anyone gotten in contact with Green Ronin on this? Man I would love to see a Pathfinder version of Freeport.

How do I change the credit card used for this to the one I just used to pay for the proceeding book(s) for the next AP? I mainly want the monsters and sidebars as I have little to no intention of actually running the AP as written. Mainly since I have a general problem with drow.

I just hope I can find a place in Philly that's participating in Free RPG Day. I want this book!

OK, I hope I just fixed the credit card issue for this new Adventure Path. I also hope when my copy of Legacy of Fire #1 is shipped there will be a copy of this puppy along with it. I also may need to fix things so I can get, at least retroactively the last module for the last AP. Drow don't impress me but I was enjoying the bestiaries.

And here I am looking forward to whenever I actually get Razor Coast and if he's going to make a print book of the indulgences that were done as teasers. I'm hoping for the martial arts and dueling rules that were put out especially in print but I'll wait and see what develops.
