I have to say that this is one of the few movies I have seen in a long time and it was not only a great film, but I saw it in IMAX 3-D (a first for me) and the 3-D effects were astounding!
I literally felt like I was looking at a real environment with things happening at different depths, to the point that there is a scene with particles of ash floating in the air that I had to try to track one until it floated out of the screen-frame to tell that there wasn't some dude sprinkling stuff from overhead. Incredible. I liked S. Weaver in it and the male lead was a very good actor also.
Go see it, and if you have an IMAX nearby-YOU NEED TO SEE IT THERE!
How about Dreadguards? MM2 they are basically walking suits of armor that are armed. I think they were CR2-ish.
Actually your version seems pretty close to them, not bad but I worry that CR1 is too low.....maybe not with the low AC though...

What sort of work do you do or are trying to get into?
Thanks all.
Mothman, I am a good carpenter/construction worker, I've worked in warehouse environments doing a wide variety of jobs from Pick/packing to Quality Control Management, I was a runner for a mortgage company, I worked for 5 years as an IT tech at DuPont in Delaware, laborer, Pro Sales at a Home Depot, Computer sales at the Buy More...I mean...Best Buy, and way back I used to collect loan payments for a loan shar...er...a Moneylender in Atlantic City, NJ.
Mostly I have been looking for a job in Construction, Warehouse, Sales, and IT. I have resorted to casting a wide net and hoping.
All I know is now I've seen the wifey's true colors after 13 years together and I am not happy with what I've seen. She is a totally different person to me now and it sucks.

This thread is about if Paizo is thinking of digital tools and possible ideas but all he's shown is hatred for digital tools except for 4E's tool. Haven't heard a good suggestion yet from him, just keyboard diarrhea.

Why can't I get a friggin' job!!! I am sick of smoozing idiots that act like the crappy job that I am applying for is "really difficult" and needs "special training" to do. I've done that job before, A-hole, I have more experience than you and would out-perform every member of your damned staff without any problem! Of course the P.C. Fakey has to simply point out all the relevant skills on his resume' and keep sucking up to try to get the friggin' stupid-assed $9 hr entry-level job.
On top of all that my wife originally talked me into quitting my previous career to raise our kids and now, because I've been trying for 6+months and 30+ applications to find a real job and can't, and the piddling wages my @ss is willing to settle for at this point just to get into the door at a place, she is treating me like crap. No respect, belittling attitude, talking badly to her family about me....
For Better or for Worse, remember that? How about being a bit supportive? Don't think I won't kick your @ss out, I don't need this crap.....
Grrrr...

My prayers to you also, Taig.
The Jade wrote: I want to get in there and dirty up the walls and nick and dark stain the wood a little, because it's kind of Disneyfied in there... but dee-am that's a sweet game room. Exactly what I thought. A wash of dark gray on the walls to pull out some of that beautiful stone nooks and crannies and a bit of light scorching with a propane torch on the woodwork to get that grain to stand out better and it's perfect.....
I wish I could get a space like that...
Thanks for the bumps team!
How about a mithral buckler? Toss on a +1 or so....

James, you should no better than to mention PFII in any way unless you're planning on releasing it next year.
Now you're going to have thousands of posts flaming you for changing PFI and thousands flaming you for not changing it fast enough. Not to mention hundreds of thousands demanding you release the ALPHA so it can be playtested immediately. ;) PF II will be out a month after the APG. It'll cost half as much, and each time we sell a copy, high-tech chemical elements built into every PF I product will activate, causing two of those books for every one of PF II we sell to not only self-destruct in a flash of fire and shrieking bats, but will also cause all the milk in your fridge to spoil, will overflow your toilet, and will upload your credit card info and bank account info to my iPhone. Sooooo......only 2 of those are true?

They made their bed. Hopefully they don't all die but really they need to learn a lesson here. Don't pull punches here. Maybe fudge a roll(or lower an AC/HPs) or two if it looks like a possible TPK, but if a party member or 2 die, let them.
Changing the encounter is really no different than fudging the rolls....They made a big tactical mistake that should have big consequences.
Bump!
4 and 9 IMO.
Looks good!

It could be that there's now a push to include people with an Asperger's diagnosis in the Autism group. (People with asperger's are generally higher-functioning than your "typical" autistic person.)
I might have missed it, Fakey, but where is this walk? If it's around OKC i'm sure my mother would be interested...she's an OT who specializes in autism spectrum disorders.
Wilmington, Delaware. And yup, there are all kinds of figures out there due to inconsistent records and with how wide the net is for "Autism Spectrum Disorder", I personally believe that there should be some separation of the different types myself-if only so awareness to the more focused aspects can be concentrated on. Also so that therapies and such can be more refined for certain grouping, like Asperger's. My son has a couple of kids in his class with Asperger's and it's a totally different thing to me yet it still gets lumped into Autism in most cases.
Anyhow, here is a link to the website for fund raising and you can explore their site(hopefully) after donating to my team....;P
Luke's Parade of Hope!
Haven't had any treasure troubles...My group is pretty thorough. We are just getting ready to finish the Hags in Hook Mountain Massacre. Anyway about Orik----He surrendered to the group begging mercy for the path of idiocy he's taken. They hired him on as a porter for their brewery business. I've modeled him as totally repentant and a perfect employee, thrilled with the chance to work hard and turn around his life. He has been pretty cool to have around in the background.
It's Friday! Let's start the weekend by doing something nice for autistic children! A few years ago the numbers were 1 in 150ish kids were autistic, today those numbers are closer to 1 in 66! There's a lot of children, teens and adults out there with autism and helping spread knowledge of this affliction is very important. Let's make a difference!

Nice shots, Shiny! I like the ruins and the tower.

Heading out with my boy today, we have an autism doctor to see today down near Washington DC(2hours each way). It'll be a long trip (plenty of time for the donations to roll in!)but hopefully when I check back in there will be some more donations to be proud of....;P
Ah the joys of a newborn gamer! Good luck and Congrats!
I would keep it as a simple weapon with those stats.
If you want to Martial it I would up the range of the short to 80, Long to 110 and staff to 140 and also make the crit modifier an X3. Damage seems alright that way. Don't forget you can add your Str mod to sling damage too.
NUDGE
I miss that 1.26 milliseconds desperately. :(
Thanks, Moff and Zombie. This organization is driven by donations. The more they get, the more group activities and outings they can organize and the more parent education seminars they can form. I am so happy with the donations I've received so far and I feel blessed to have such a giving community around me. I have to strive to gather more though because I feel so strongly about this cause! Like Moff Rimmer said; just a couple bucks each from a bunch of people and we can make a huge difference.
Please give! It gives karma a reason to do nice things for you!

However, a large number of my traps use proximity (alarm) triggers, and, I got to thinking, "how does a rogue manage to disable an entirely spell based trap that fires when he gets close?" Just as a modern rogue might know how to bypass an electronic alarm or fingerprint ID device (without knowing how to build one), a rogue in a magical land might know how to detect and bypass magical traps.
"You see those lines in the dust I scattered? They mean there's something magical about the doorframe! Pour some of your muscatel on the floor there: That should obscure the sensory glyph long enough for us to slip past!"
Magical systems might have vulnerable points, just as real-world systems do. Good explanation.

Inumo wrote: I'm a little confused about the whole "advancing your character" thing. I've read through the book, and I understand adding special abilities, feats, etc. However, the ability score is a rather vague description. From what I can gather, it's basically saying "Roll as if you were making more stat rolls, then add to whichever stats you want." Is this true...? It seems to me like it's a little heavy-handed with the stat buffs.
Thanks for helping me out with this!
They don't really spell it out too well in the book but when advancing a PC/character, at levels that give a stat increase, you add a +1 to any one ability score you wish.

Hi all. I would love to start out this thread with some Vacation Pics but sadly I haven't been anywhere cool. BUT I was remembering someone on the boards who posted some pics of a Greek vacation and I loved seeing that locale. I know that a good amount of posters have seen some interesting travels and would like to live vicariously through them.
I would love to see-
Date of vacation
Location
Link to pics (flickr, or other image hosting site probably)
and maybe a quick story about an interesting point of the vacation/trip.
BTW, living poor on the East Coast (usa) and just getting past a record snow-fall year.....I need a vacation and the only option is a vicarious one. Also I would like to see this all consolidated into this one thread for easy finding.
Thanks all!

Microlite 20. Rules lite, 1st edition feel.
E6 game. A game within the 2.5/d20 system that caps level at 6 and is much easier and better balanced that 3.5.

BTW, NSFW should be changed to Not Safe For Married People! Good lord girl.
I love the timeline! Awesomely detailed and gives a great historic overtone.
I would love playing in such a setting even though I am not a big fan of steampunk styled setting. Very, very cool and evocative.

Pathfinder is like 3.5 only with most of the stuff that was wrong fixed. They play almost the same and 3.5 stuff is mostly compatible with PRPG.
You can post links to pics but not actual pics. The messageboards aren't set up to handle images in posts.
Welcome to Paizo messageboards.
I too will vote for a stealthy/stabby type of PC.
