About Ezren "His Father's Son"

What if the iconic Ezren had learned different lessons from life? What if his experiences have disillusioned him, left him with an apathy for the world outside himself?

Ezren knows how much of his life has been lost in the pursuit of justice for his father. A father that, in the end, deserved no such loyalty or commitment. Ezren now sees how much he's lost, how much he's personally wasted of his finite mortal existence for a cause that did not truly further himself, and he's determined not to make the same mistake again.

This Ezren is not cruel, but he is apathetic to the machinations of the powers-that-be, whether political or religious in nature, and is simply taking a coldly logical approach to maximising his personal gain and personal experiences with his work within the Pathfinder Society. He resists feeling responsibility to anyone or anything but himself, and as a result he has few qualms about the magics or actions he'll resort to if it will better himself or help him achieve his goals.

This is the Ezren that makes friends of cultists, utilises corrupted artifacts, and drains the life from those that get in his way to empower and extend his own as much as he can.

This Ezren is not cruel. But maybe he's more like his father - a man convicted of heresy - than he's willing to admit.

Well... it seems I'm slowly pushing Ezren back into his normal Neutral-Good alignment. That's just how the story goes.
