I for one would love to see how the story "ends"; but I do not want to make it to be a chore/burden for you Mini. I am fine with fast forwarding, or even just putting a pin in this story with our heroes entering the mayors manor. Exxor is the very first Pathfinder character I made for PbP or IRL - I have loved to see the ways that he has grown and changed. I enjoy the adventure, and appreciate your efforts. No matter what happens next, it has been fun, and well worth the effort, so THANK YOU Mini, it has been a grand adventure!!
Exxor smiles, running through the list in his head...clog the plumbing with a halfling to turn off the unholy water to stop the engine to defeat the pit fiend, all the while looking out for traps, sycophants, and who know what else, AND find a hidden alter to a lost god and last but not least... try to keep Tram's wardrobe from getting shredded. No problem. What could go wrong. Got it! Thank you and Abadar willing, we will see you soon! Exxor waves as he stuffs ropes, lanterns, and other useful looking gear into their backpacks and bags. I'll worry about inventory later - assuming I am alive to do so!
Taking students in to the woods for a week.... sounds like the beginning of a B-grade horror movie. Hope you enjoy and stay safe. No talking with hockey mask wearing, machete wielding killers!

Shut off the unholy water to the engine to defeat the Pit Fiend - watch out for all manner of thugs and cultists searching the estate. Are there any traps or secret passages his former Lordship knows of that would aid us?
Exxor looks at Tram and grins, On the plus side, moving on has GOT to be less scary that going back to Miss Tarvi at the moment. He then looks to Miro, Speaking of, I don't want to have to explain to Miss Tarvi how we let Tram get incinerated, eaten by a devil, or mauled by a crazed halfling - so lets be careful!
Exxor will share the geometric connection to the columns.
Exxor nods agreement to Tram's instructions for Miro and joins his friends as they enter the mansion exploding in pillars of flame.
Exxor waits for Tram, hoping Miro doesn't get too far ahead, or incinerated, before they can catch up.
One of your cousin's...Exxor asks absently, as he watches the pillars of flame.
Pillars! No question Miro. Pillars. Exxor says, then looks to Tram, Come on, lets see if we can't keep you alive long enough to bring the woman flowers. When you do, tell her there is nothing you would not do to keep her safe -including this. If that doesn't work; you are on your own! Exxor begins walking forward towards the five flaming pillars. Five pillars, wonder what that symbolizes....
Exxor hears the slap and Miss Tarvi, and cringes. Twice. Then joins Miro outside and waits for Tram to untangle his foot from his mouth and, he hoped, exit gracefully. Well my friend, we probably should have gotten some insights on devil fighting from the ladies... but I think we are still safe going after the devil directly. Do you know anything useful about devils?
Exxor ducks out as quick as he can without making eye contact.
Shadowbeasts, vampires, devils... suuuuuure why not. At Miro's question, Exxor looks to Miss Tarvi and Tram for agreement, and trying to determine if the Mayor is hiding any further useful information.
I am not familiar with the story, so I didn't know we were off on a tangent - but I like it!
Exxor ponders if anyone is really dumb enough to have not questioned a devil 'helping" them out, and know exactly the details associated with it. He also ponders if he will even try to stop Miro. I know the contract is not with me, or Tram or Miss Tarvi - that is not helpful. Who IS the contract with, what are the terms, where is it, and as Tram specified - define "STUFF"...
I think that making Tram the mayor makes Tram the target of the devil. Exxor keeps an eye on the current mayors reactions to everything that is being said, particularly his own comments to see if any reactions from the mayor give away his secrets.
Exxor stays seated, and raises a finger to his lips as he looks at Miro, with a wait and see wave of his hand, and a sly grin. This is better than an opera, and that was Tram's que...
Exxor sits down. Well, there it is. That explains a LOT!! Exxor looks at Miss Tarvi and back to Tram. So much was clear, and yet, he was not sure why Miss Tarvi was angry unless it was for the same reason - but women; seriously, who knows....
Exxor realizes he actually has little to fear from Miss Tarvi, but he does owe her respect. He nods an apology, and remains silent so that Tram may discuss the situation with her directly.
Seeing that Miro has disappeared again, Exxor joins his companion in discussion of the situation,
Exxor opens his mouth to reply, and thinks better of it. Shadowbeasts, vampires and devils are one thing... getting between Miss Tarvi and Tram was another. Exxor steps aside, giving her a clear path to Tram, but remains close enough to him that the mayor is still pinned in.
The devil doesn't care about you... spoken like the man who knows exactly what the devil does care about. And anyone with a contract with a devil knows exactly where it is and what it says.
Exxon questions whether or not he would try to stop Miri if the half Ling went after the mayor. He was leaning toward “not” despite their need for information only the mayor could give. Given the mayor’s goal is to get away; I would advise against taking on the debt that comes with the title.
So, what do you mean "ran" the house, and just what was done to make him burn down said house? oh, and please share the details you do remember. I suspect that a contract with a devil would be one of those things that you would read very carefully.
At the Mayor's reference to magical persons, Exxor looks to Barksalot, His Lordship has a good idea, would you please request Miss Tarvi and Hippa join us. They will be able to shed light on the truths the mayor is trying to keep hidden.
Exxor is growing impatient with the Mayor's continued evasiveness. He smiles as Tram gets to the point.
Exxor puts a steadying hand on Miro's shoulder as they continue on, waiting to see Tram's reaction to his cousin's offer.
Exxor breathes an internal sigh of relief. He will remain as stoic and silent as he can and continue to let Tram handle his cousin. But will flash Miro a knowing grin and wink when they mayor is not looking.
Because we hunt shadowbeasts for something to do when we aren't out killing vampires and things that are bigger, badder and meaner than that. And I may be a nobody, but I am his friend, tilts his head toward Tram And he is the only thing keeping this one, a nod towards Miro, from making you wish a shadowbeast got you.

Exxor shakes his head no, and continues in his matter of fact tone.
And I mean ALL of it.
Varisian werewolves was first... then demon summoning gone wrong, shadow beasts and vampires is the latest. Exxor states matter of factly. Reciting the latest rumor mill stories. Aid another
Exxor will let Tram take the lead in questioning his cousin, simply standing beside Tram silently listening and keeping the mayor pinned in.
Softly going group to group
Then Exxor will make his way near to, but out of sight of the mayor, and just as everyone is getting ready to move on... he shouts,
Miro, what say we start pointing out that the mayor is here "helping" - get a good buzz going in the crowd. You can't sneak out of town with everyone watching! If Miro agrees, Exxor will begin to go around to various groups and point out the mayor. See if he can't influence the crowd to "cheer" the mayor on...
At the gates, among the chaos Exxor will look for someone trying to get out, but not yelling or attracting any attention to themselves.
Off through the streets we go in search of the mayor...
What of our sun challenged rescues? Who shall we inquire with regarding the Mayors whereabouts?
Exxor will humbly interject as he can to bolster Trams story.
Exxor/I will be on vacation starting tomorrow morning and returning Wednesday June 12. I will have no computer access or cell service until that time. Please bot Exxor as needed... Try to read the journal that Hippa said to take to Miss Tarvi - then take it to her. Exxor is going to try to find a suitable cure for the adducted employees... Mini can tell you if it works or not, or string along the process as desired. I am otherwise unsure how to proceed as we can skip over Tram getting a new shirt...
Well, let me think about my knowledge of the gods. Pharasma only handles them after they are dead... Desna has no interest in this, I follow Abadar, and unless we found a way to market the solution... ahhh. Calistria would not be concerned, other than that we gave the vampire lady payback... what about the Sun godess. THe irony is not lost on me, but don't they like to redeem the fallen and slay undead - wouldn't they be thrilled to undo this? Exxor muddles through is limited experiences with clergy and temples along the caravan routes. What if we go looking for one of them? He asks Hippa.
Thank you Miss Hippa, I have always been able to count on you, and it is truly appreciated! Exxor also tells Hippa of Vahnwynne Malkistra, and true depth of the impact the vampire woman had on him. He knows that he could not save her life, and prays she was redeemed with her sacrifice. Saving these people would be like saving her...
They did not want this, have not fed, and still seem to have goodness in their hearts. Vahnwynne knew she could only be redeemed one way, but we believe there is hope for these people. Please do what you can. I believe in you. Exxor speaks slowly, softly, but their is a strength to his voice as he addresses Hippa. Now, lets take this book to Miss Tarvi and see if she can help with it and with them.
