I'm hoping to Base a Campaign around the Worldwound, and Clydwell keep. Minor Spoilers ahead! I have the 3.5 module, The Demon Within, and there is a a Note that states Clydwell keep is THE more important keep on the boarder of Mendev, However the Innersea world guide, Does not have the location of the Keep marked along the Border. Before I go and just Pick a Spot, is there any documentation/ Designer thoughts on where along the border it actually is. Thoughts? Answers? Thanks
As the Gryphons Circle around a low, flat topped hill, about 200 yards wide and 300 yards long, you look down upon blackrocks upon the top of the hill In the Shape of a a human skull, with the piles of rock appearing as eye holes, nose hole, and the jagged teeth of a grinning death’s head. Only uglyweeds, thorns, and briars grow upon the steep sides and bald top of the 60 high mound. A thorough inspection and search of the entire area will reveal only that the north side of the hill has a crumbling cliff of sand and gravel about 20’ high in about the middle. A low stone ledge overhangs this eroded area, and shrubs and bushes obscure it from observation at a distance. The Gryphons Land at the base of the hill,and allow you to dismount. Once everyone is is on their feet, the lead gryphon says "We will be on our way, good luck Heroes." and with that, the Magistic Beasts rise into the air, and fly into the sunset. GO ahead and take the time to get to know each other

I'm working on a Orc Barbarian (original right?) for Carrion Crown. The Idea is that his Orc was on the Professior's Payroll as a body guard (1st trait), and while out on a job, they where attack by a werewolf. He was bitten and was infected. He was cured of the disease, but a little too late, the Curse tainted his blood. He feels fine at first, but starts to show signs of lycantropy ( without the actualy Template) as I advance in lvl. I'm thinking Brutal Pugilist/Savage Barbarian, with the Beast Totem rage powers to get Claw attacks. Either the Toothy trait for a bite attack, or the rage power. Focusing on raging, chargeing, and grabbling/ ripping people apart. Kinda like a Dire Tiger. my concerns are how to by pass Magical DR at higher lvl, Ac, and what Feats/ rage powers will be needed. Most of the rage powers only work while Raging, so I'll need something to attack with while not enraged. Many thanks to any ideas given!
The sun has just reached its Peak over the City of Alkenstar. Just your standard day, People walk the streets, merchants peddle their wares, the Gunworks billows smoke hundreds of feet into the air. Being hard working citizens, you have just finished your jobs/duties/business etc, and have Decided to stop into the Local tavern on this side of town, The Angry Wizard Alkenstar City
The Tavern's Wooden Sign has a a very Sterotypical wizard on it, he has a angery look on his face, with a Wand that is Broken in one hand. The place is very busy, lots of commoners, eating drinking, haveing a good time. Look like there is only one open table in the place when you arive Go ahead and intoduce yourselves, you'll enter the Tavern as the order that you post. You do not know each other personally, but you may have seen each other aroudn the City
Set in Golarion, Takes Place in the man Wastes, Starting in Alkenstar City The campign will take in Present day Golarion, some time After the War between Nex and Geb. Your characters will either be from Alkenstar City, or Nex. This will be mostly a Urban setting. This is my First PBP game, so I want to try and get a good Mix of Rp, Combat, Puzzzles etc. Tention between Geb and Nex is Building again, Alkenstar being a neutral state between Geb and nex is feeling the pressure. Fightes Erupting in may of the local Bars between citizens from both Countrys, Large orders for weapons, ore, and other techolgies, and a severe lack of communitation between all three. Looking for 5 players. 1st lvl

***I hate to restrict Classes, but the City is located in the Mana- Wastes, Which is devoid of all Arcane Magic. However, the Wastes is inbetween Geb and Nex, Which are Highly Magical countries. The Campgain will not full take place in the wastes, and will hae time spend in Geb and Nex. If you want to play a bard, Wizard, Summoner, Sorcerer, or Witch, or Magus be warned, your magic will sometimes not work the way its expected, or Work at all... Also, if you want to play one of these classes, you cannot be from Alkenstar, must be from Nex. Alchemist is fine to play, their magic abilities are all based in the alchemey, so the mana wastes don't effect them. Divine Magic works normally aswell. FireArms are a big part of Alkenstar, so they will be allowed (based on teh rules from the 3.5 Golarion Campaign setting, with a little bit of House rules: Good, quality working Firearms aren't Cheap,but they are readly avab. You can get a Cheap, knock-off weapon for 1/4 of the Listed Cost, but the Mis-Fire Chance doubles, and the damage dice is lowered 1 size, and does not have the exploding Dice option). Any feats that work for Crossbows, can be taken for firearms. The Fighter, and Ranger Cross-bow Architypes work for Firearms aswell Fire arms:
All firearms deal Bludgeoning and Piercing dmg.
Firearm Proficiency: The Exotic Weapon Proficiency
Exploding Dice: Whenever you deal damage with a firearm
Attacks of Opportunity: Attacking with a firearm provokes
Capacity: Works like Crossbows, and repeating Crossbows. Damage: The round bullets of firearms deal bludgeoning

Blunderbuss: This weapon fires lead shot from its trumpetshaped

Takes 2 hands to use
Musket: This smooth-bore longarm fires large-caliber

can be fired 1 handed
Pistol: The single-shot, rif led-bore pistol is relatively easy

As I am playing in a Handful of Pbp games here, I'd like to give something back to the community. I am thinking of Running a regulated PVP style Arena. Takeing points from PFS, to make sure Characters are Legal, and on the Same playing field (gear and stat wise). If you are Intrested, Post here with your concept.
Combat will be Highly Technical, strictly by the rules. Creation rules. Players Start at lvl 1, Max HP every lvl. All Core/APG classes, Architypes. All Core rules Races, Any PRC (if you get that high) that is PFS legal. Magus Playtest is also Fine. No Item Creation Feats, Wizards get a School Focus 1st lvl instead(just like PFS). Any Feat/spell that is PFS accepted is Fine. 25 point Buy, only 1 score below 10, and nothing below an 8. Starting Gold Is 500gp No Traits. Short Background on your training, What area of Golarion your fighter is from, a Short description, and Quote is all that is needed Fluffy Wise. For every three Wins, you earn a LVL. Every win gets you a 500g reward, plus any gear the Fallen warrior had. This gear can be kept, or sold at half listed price. Please put your conecpts here/ Stated'd Fighters here, I will review and allow you to post in the Finished area.

I've recently been rewarded a Book of the Damned: Diabolic in a ravenloft game, the description says it has some spells you can use 3/day. One listed is "Summon Hellmouth", but I cannot seem to find any info on this spell. Does anyone know where to find it? or was it cut from the book/ Core rules etc. Maybe a Staff could weigh in. Thanks in advance.
Yay for random loot rolls! Playing in a ravenloft game, 11th lvl currently, I picked up a Iron Flask in a random loot spot. This is a pretty sweet item for my Character (10 wizard/1 Diabloist). Later we where fighting 2 Cauchemars we killed one, and i was able to force the 2nd into the flask ( rolled a 3 on its will save) Now, seeing that this is a pretty sweet Ride, Huge, ethereal jaunt and plane shift, i want to keep this thing for more than just an hour. Any suggestions on how to make it permantly mine? Thanks in advance.

I am currently playing in a Ravenloft Game, using the pathfinder rule set. After speaking with the DM, my Wizard has made a Faustian Pact with a Devil, for some items, and to be turned into a lich. as part of the contract, i am to receive a Book of the damned: Diabloic if i can corrupt the paladin to a LE alignment. Being that I'm wizard 10/ Diabloist 1, I have an imp companion that I can use to help. I plan of slowly messing with the paladin, and maybe tricking him into killing some innocent people to help with the corruption. any suggestions/ ideas? thanks in advance
I'm currently running a pathfinder game (the CoT AP), I have a player who has rolled a dwarven monk, and wants to play him as a "Drunken master" style toon. He has shown an intrest in using the Drunken master PRC out of The Complete Warrior (pg. 27). Now my Idea was than instead of taking lvls in the PRC, he could take the abilities as Feats, *IF* he meets the Reqs: -Must qualify for the PRC, via what it lists is needed for skills, feats etc. -Must be high enough lvl to take the ability.
IE: you must be at least 5th lvl to enter Drunken master. The Drink like a Demon skill is earned at 1st lvl of Drunken master, so he could take that as a feat at lvl 6 as a monk bonus feat. This seems just fine for straight forward classes/ PRC But I can't seem to think of a way to do the Multi class casters. like Mystic Theurge, or True Necro without multi classing. I was thinking of just leaving that step up for PRC's alone, as is. *edit*: Naturally everythign is subject to Dm approval, and if i feel its too strong of an ability, can will water it down a bit, or not allow it to be taken. Any thoughts, feelings, suggestions would be very helpful! |
