Cool, any chance of a role call, just to see who's still paying attention to this game thread?

I am still here, but only in spirit.

Euphegenia stubbornly refuses to believe she is dead, pirouetting to face the fleeing group, she tries to speak, but only air and blood bubble from her throat wound, her legs refuse to obey the command to run. She looks down with sadness at the crossbow bolts protruding from her abdomen before she keels slowly over. The view of shuffling feet and dust balls under the counter slowly fades into darkness and the pain in her flooding lungs subsides into a peaceful bliss as death over takes her.

Euphegenia's corpse lies in a pool of her own cooling blood, her eyes still wide open and her hand clutching her holy symbol to her blood soaked chest.

Reg Darkwintre wrote:

We have action points?

Not sure, with have Harrow points, not sure what they do. If we don't then i only get the one attack.

Crossed posts.

Euphegenia does not head back in response to Regs push, instead she answers, "I'm an old girl laddie, you have your whole life before ya, you head out and I'll take these scum."

Then she launches into her excellent above attack.

That round took a turn for the worse!

Euphegenia starts fighting for her life, this is serious and she needs to put down the enemies as quick as she can. She attacks howling a string of obscenities in Dwarven.

Full attack action and spending an action point to get a second attack.

Battleaxe: +2 1d8+2 (x3) (two attacks) (1d20+2=18, 1d8+2=9, 1d20+2=19, 1d8+2 =10)

Whoop that was a good reply! I hope that is good enough to drop two?

In hind sight, I don't think I get the stability bonus, so it will be 11 if it is an acrobatics check. Grease is a DC-10 from memory?

Is it a balance check (acrobatics) and do Dwarves still get a bonus on Balance/stability checks? I have no book today and I can't get the PFogc to work since my anti virus threw a wobbly. I thought it was my internet connection for a week now, turns out I got a virus that messed up my connection and compromised my security.

Dex check as a base for a roll to cross the grease. (1d20+0=15)

Now by my calculations, if it is an acrobatics check I get -4 off that for armour and possibility +4 for stability, so it should be a total of 15 either way.

Assuming she gets across the grease and survives any attacks of opportunity (do any of them try to hit me unarmed and draw an attack of opportunity from me?) she will attack the Guard again, trying once again not to kill him.

Battleaxe: +2 1d8+2 (x3) -4 (for subdue.) (1d20-2=6, 1d8+2=5)

A big fat miss.

Seeing the crowd start to fall asleep, Euphegenia starts heading back towards the guard, to try and intervene in him waking up the others, need any rolls?

Can I get there and attack?

quick consensus of opinion, are we fighting our way out, or carrying on the attack?

What is the crowds mood? Have the two healing bursts turned calmed them somewhat or are they rallying once more? Euphengenia is caught in two minds of killing putting the guard down or retreating with the others.

Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

In the room the longsword man crawls from the grease and stands

Euphengenia Ya get an AoO if ya want it

Oh yeah she wants!

"I told you you would be sorry!" she brings the flat of her axe head down on the prone crawling guard.

Battleaxe: +2 1d8+2 (x3) (+4 against prone, -4 for subdue damage) (1d20+2=15, 1d8+2=9)

I added 4 for him being prone and subtracted 4 for trying to deal none lethal damage, please modify roll if this is not correct. I think he is also denied his dexterity while he is balancing as well, but I am not 100% sure.

I have lost track of where we are in the round.

Euphengenia grins at Bean and then attempts to move towards the Guard that is fighting with Reg.

Please let me know if I can get there or if you need rolls to push through the crowd?

Map link is not working for me either.

Euphengenia will channel energy from her holy symbol, praying this time that it wakes up Bean. This has the side effect of getting every one in a 30' radius, including the people who are attacking us and the wounded guards men.

Hey, maybe it will sway some of the crowd, or maybe not.

Channel energy (1d6=5)

At last a good result.

Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:
Also would like to point out Euphegenia can channel too :)[/ooc]

I seem to have forgotten how to play D&D, god help me!

Bean wrote:
Hey you're healing better than I was in that first encounter! Anyways Bean hit you up with a wand earlier... after the fight with the demons, you would probably remember he has one... be a pain to find it on him, but it would save your spells, and if you feel bad about 'stealing' it you are using it on him and can apologize later ;D

DOH! I have a wand as well! How silly of me to forget!

Bean wrote:
I'm going to keep out of the way post wise unless something happens to get me up... or keeps me down more permanently. Ouch that hurt! So ah, Go Team Go!

Moral Support, it is what we need.

"Blood an Thunder! Euphegenia yells, a small trickle of blood coming from the nick in her forehead from the last rock.

Map should of changed, I needed to be closer to Bean to touch him and cure him.

She weighs up the odds of killing the guards or Bean and decides to get try and get Bean back up.

Spell Craft +1(rank) +3(class) +1(int) = +5 (1d20+5=15, 1d8+1=6)

SHe succesfully casts the spell defensively, but the spell, just fails to bring Bean round.

POO! Is there anyway of increasing healing with Action Points?

Euphegenia is still unarmed, but does have her shield out, she will do her best to get to Bean and spontaneously cast a cure light wounds, trading in magic weapon.

Concentration check (Spell Craft +1(rank) +3(class) +1(int) = +5) to cast a cure light wounds. (1d20+5=17, 1d8+1=2)

That was too close for comfort! A pathetic 2HP!

While ducking and diving she just manages to get her spell off, but the power is weak and does little apart from stop the bleeding.

[She looks up to the guard with the cross bow, anger in her eyes, "You might want to start running laddie!"

Euphegenia looks round at the crowd, eyeing up if any of them are likely to aid these men if it comes to a fight.

Sense motive on the crowd. (1d20+6=14)

She has her shield strapped to her arm, but no weapon drawn, she looks around for a nice leg of lamb or ham hock to use as an improvised weapon if it comes to a fight.

Euphengenia is very insistent that you do not go on your own or in small numbers, all or none of us!

"Look what happened to the last wee ben that went off on his own, drown in a tub of chum!"

"He seems like a decent boyo," Euphegenia comments, confused as to why he would be giving away the meat for free. "something doesn't add up, maybe it is time to go and visit him in person."

"As you probably realise, I have no diplomacy skills, but I can back the big laddie up if needed." she indicates Elric by poining with her thumb at him as she speaks.

She will go as muscle as well.

"Ah Bean, I like your idea of talking to them, always worth a try."

"Aye, I can forgive a man for turning to his family in his needs, but nay canna I forgive a man for deserting his duty for his own ends," Euphegenia mutters, "let them just try to refuse our surrender terms," she continues, talking to no one in particular.

Where do I know the Vancaskerkin name from?

edit: Orik Vancaskerin is a NPC in Rise of the Runelords.

My feelings:

1) Fighters using two handed weapon are scary now, they might of gone too far.
2) The curing is slightly too powerful, have more than one cleric in a group and any encounter becomes a nightmare to challenge them.

Apart from that I like it.

Euphegenia looks around at the others to gain their general mood while she listens to the answer to Reg's question.

Apart from giving her name as "Euphegenia Doubtfire, priestess of the Red Knight,"[b/] when asked, she remains quite and withdraw, a little overwhelmed with meeting the Queen.

She is more than willing to head to Citadel Volshyenek to see what aid she can provide, as they leave the chamber she comments to Reg [b]"di you hear that Laddy? She called us Heros! The Queen called us heros! Who would of thought that?"

Just to clarify, Euphegenia brought all her equipment, deciding the streets are too dangerous to travel unarmoured, so she is leaving behind a Battleaxe, Warhammer, Dagger and Large Wooden Shield.

Euphegenia has no problem with that order and hands over her weapons, sidling up close to Reg she smiles and whispers, "Nicely done Laddie,"

Euphegenia is in a very sombre mood after her telling off, and spends the rest of the day praying for atonement before getting her self dressed in the orders robes over her armour to meet the others and pass on the information she has learnt of the queen and her task.
You can all read the above spoiler.

Before we head off to meet the queen I will have a reading with the Harrow Deck for herself and anyone who is interested.

I have the feat Harrowed, which will give me a +2 bonus to one roll for a random attribute, page 14 of Curse of the Crimson Throne Players Guide.

Euphegenia finally gives up on avoiding her superiors and shows up at the church determined to submit a report and accept any punishment for failing in the care of her headstrong charge, who has probably been left emotionally crippled due to her negligence.

She faces her superior with eyes down cast and a look of utter sorrow on her face for her failings.

If they will accept her report she will submit all that happened, including the recovery of the Queen's amulet, she will also try and learn why such riots occurred after the kings death, is the queen disliked that much or is foul play suspected?

Euphengenia drops the deck in surprise as it pulses with life, "now that was weird," she hesitantly starts collecting all the cards back up.

"Well laddies and lasses, looks like fate is a calling us, my momma, bless her soul, always used to say if fate comes a knocking you had better open the door before it kicks it in!" she chuckles at the memory of her dear old ma.

"So we have the queens amulet, what do we know of her, being new to the city I am a little lost on local politics."

Reg Darkwintre wrote:

Reg stirs as he watches the latest band of knights move past the shop.

"Euphengenia are they members of your order?" he asks her noting another of the red knight clerics' passing by after the last band of knights taking the time to stretch his legs.

Euphegenia moves to stand beside Reg, "Yes they are, I'll go and have a word with them and find out what is going on."

She then leaves the building and calls out to the Knights, by name if she recognises any of them. She will try and establish what is going on and get a message to her master that his daughter is safe.

Euphegenia shakes her head at the folly of humans, "such short lived, easy to ire creatures, never would you see Dwarves acting so."

The swooping creatures catch her some what by surprise and she takes up a defensive position in front of the children, readying an attack if any get in range.

"Bah imps! This city be a den of evil!"

I assume they are imps from the art work in the Korsova city guide book.

The Red Knights sounds like a plan for the children, Euphegenia needs to take her charge back there so she can make some inquires. Someone should also let the authorities know what we have done, scum bag like Lamn probably is wanted by them, so his death might be worth a pat on the back.

We also need to bury our fallen halfling.

Keen wrote:
"This place needs to be purged."

"Amen Brother!" Euphengenia intones a prayer over the body of Lamn, asking that his sins be washed away in the purging fire that will consume his mortal body.

"Well that is just plain weird," Euphegenia exclaims looking at the head. "Ohh Harrow cards, they look well loved, can I look at them please?"

"Never been able to purchase my own deck, they seem to get passed down mother to daughter, so it is unusual to find one intact."

I took the Harrowed feat, but couldn't afford the deck, so this would be useful for me.

"Are you all right Elric?" Euphegenia inquires as she removes her cloak and tries to dry him off.

"We missed our chance at revenge, but the evil of Lamn is ended and he can hurt no others, we should sanctify his body 'less his spirit returns to haunt us."

"I have got him Bean," Euphengenia yells, "Can you help the others with Lamn?"

Euphengenia will trade in magic weapon for a cure light wounds:

1d8+1(cure light wounds)=5

She has to sheath her battle axe as she is hanging from a chain, so this is a full round action.

Euphegenia is torn between curing Elric and killing the croc, she decide offence is the best coarse in this case. She swings her axe at the creature while hanging from the chain, any other rolls needed?

1d20+2=17

1d8+2=7

Sorry, I didn't realise you were waiting for me.

I would of tried to help Elric, so good call.

"You'll not goad me into foolish action Lamm, you should fear death, because the nine hells wait for you today." despite her threat against Lamm she turns her attention to the Crocodile. "Elric, make room, let us take this beast down together."

She then casts Bless to give the group +1 morale bonus on attacks and saves verses fear.

Euphegenia gives Elric a gentle shove and whispers "Are we going in?"

Euphegenia says a quite prayer for the fallen "Halfling" "May your soul find the peace that your brief life lacked."

She looks less than happy that Elric killed the halfling after he had fulfilled his part of the bargain, but does not tackle him on the fact.

Euphegenia follows Elric, Axe and Shield at the ready, watching the water as they go.

Euphegenia rolls her eyes at all the testosterone in the air and suppresses a wry smile, "Come Elric, we should go first with the "halfling", as we can take a beating, although I warn you that I swim like a stone!"

With that she heads down the rope to the skiff. can I take a 10 on the climb check for a total of 8 or do I need to be lowered?

Euphegenia scoops up Lorelai up in her arms and tries to comfort her as best she can, "There, there, it is all over now, your going back to your mommy and daddy little one."

"Can some one look after the wee ones, while the rest of us go and have a word with Mr Gaedren?" she asks looking at the others.

[ooc]Maybe some of the absent players, Vengance for example could stay with them.

Paizo post monster hates me posting in this game.

Euphegenia bends over poor little Teelos, he is dead I assume? and says a small prayer for his well being. She activates a turning attempt to cure the wounds of her companions, +4hp

1d6=4

"Let Iz go," she comments, "enough have died already with out adding him to the list."

Does anyone need more healing?

Euphegenia continues to threaten the "Halfling/child" with her axe, readying in case he tries anything. "Your employer is going down, tell us where Gaedren is, who is guarding him and any traps or surprises he has and you can walk out of here a free man."

Euphegenia makes a sudden move towards the "child" with the knife, hoping to smash him with the butt of the axe as she goes.

I don't know if I get a surprise round or if it goes to initiative.

As she moves forward she will shout, "This little blighter is a halfling, get him, alive.

1d20+6 (sense motive)=24

Euphegenia is an expert on children's nature, having been a nanny for a long time, but she is still cautious of these particular children. She calls out to her young ward, "Lorelai, honey, come over here, everything will be ok now, you are going home."

Good point, I'll move 20 feet and try and subdue the nearest urchin.

1d20+2(Attack)-4(Dealing none lethal damage)=1
She misses miserably.
