Erik is a young Varisian, with Salt and pepper hair and bright green expressive eyes. At the age of 10 he was apprenticed to a Wizard by his poor farming family because of his keen analytical mind and he was whisked away to a large city many leagues away from his home for many years.
The years spent learning Arcane secrets taught Erik many things, reading, writing, and then finally Arcane knowledge. This was the hardest thing for him to learn, and after many failures, Erik felt exasperated, until one day when organizing his Masters Library he stumbled upon a book "Thassilonian Spell Runes and their application". Interested, he started reading and became quickly engrossed, studying, until eventually he found a method that would overcome his inability to cast spells, Personalised Spell Runes converted into tattoos on his flesh. Overjoyed at his revelation, he set to work, practicing the intricate brush work required to harness magical energy.
10 years after he started, it was time to see if his experiments worked, Erik spent three days painting the sigils across his flesh and after each sigil was completed he felt more power begin to flow through his body, until, when the final sigil was finished pain coursed though his body until he passed out.
