Very much lines up with how my magic schools have been in my 5e and Pathfinder 2e campaigns, anyway. This makes official that who you hang around with and learn from is far more important than a legacy label, as far as describing how a spell interacts with the world.

(Please move this topic if it's not appropriate for General; I didn't think Organized Play was the right place to ask about a pick-up game!)

My wife, three teenagers, and I will be at GenCon Indy next month, and I would love to have someone run a 2e game for us in the Open gaming area. I've been running D&D 5e for them the past year+ and we've had fun, but I really want to try PF2e with a GM who's already run the system. (I'm a long-time player of D&D through all editions as well as PF1e.) I would sign up for an official event but what few there were are long since sold out.

I will post on the GenCon boards as well, but is there anyone who will be there that weekend that would be willing to run a game? We'll be there Fri-Sun.

Thanks for reading this shot in the dark!

I've had a evil minotaur barbarian/sorcerer NPC in my campaign since the 2nd Edition days. There's never been a perfect fit for multiclassing that would really fit my concept of him up to now. I'm looking forward to putting him in the shop for some retooling, since this seems to prefectly fill the bill!

I like my boss, but we don't have cool workplace conversations like this.
