Very sorry for taking so long, so i'll make it brief. Enzor makes a few gestures as he focuses on a bit of leather. He says something incomprehensible as he touches Bo-dan. An invisible forcefield shapes into armour around her. Mage Armour. After that, Enzor backs up, out of harms way, into the mouth of the cave. Approx. D15 "It seems my memory is failing me momentarily," Enzor says disappointedly.

Enzor, distracted by the storm, decides it's best if he try to assess any possible magical threats. He casts Detect Magic. Concentrating just long enough to keep it active, he's going to search the walls of the outside half of the cave for magic while standing in the center of it. If he finds nothing there, keeping the spell active, he'll move to the inside half and do the same as the first half before letting the spell expire. It really shouldn't take too long to do this, as the spell is a 60' cone, unless he finds something. At which point he'll concentrate on that area for up to 18 seconds (3 rounds) to determine the properties of the magic DM:
Spoiler:
Don't forget that Enzor agreed to go on the pirate ship in exchange for a future 'favor' for the captain. Although he escaped the pirate ship, he's not likely to go back on his word. So, with that said, if we were to encounter him in the future, and the pirate captain wanted to cash in on that favor... just an idea for you. Spellcraft check (1d20+9=22) Spellcraft to determine the spell Desi just cast "Ah! Thank you very much," Enzor says in Elven. "That was no more powerful than a simple cantrip." He says in surprise. "You're a very talented healer. Moreso than any priest I've ever met, might I say." Enzor stands and stretches a bit. "Well, that's enough for me. We should probably go soon." Holding a single finger up as if saying "Hush and wait a minute", Enzor will finish his preparations. "Sorry about that, if i'm interrupted, i'll have to start over. It gets irritating if you have to sit for 2 hours trying to memorize spells that would otherwise take a half hour to an hour." Folding his book up and placing it back in his pack, "Yes please do, my ribs hurt something fierce." Enzor has 3 damage on him at the moment; which, at the moment, seems like a lot. "Still sore, thanks for asking," Enzor says as he painfully tries to get up. He looks to Mercy and thinks to himself "She's unlike any elf I've ever seen." Shaking his head clear "That's enough of that." "If you don't mind, I'm going to prepare my spells. Shouldn't take too long, I've only to replace a couple." With that, he sits and rummages through his backpack for his spellbook and begins memorizing. "Agreed. I have 3 days rations left now, and however much water Desidara didn't use. My body is in pain from that drop, and cannot withstand much more. I, like everyone else, need rest." He pauses for a second contemplating, "I have no idea where we are, and have no idea where the Captain or navigator are," looking to Mercy. "And as you may have guessed from my trade, I have no survival skills to speak of. Barring magic that is." "Here, take this," he says handing Desidara one of his rations. "Eat, and wash it down with this," Enzor reaches out to Desi his waterskin. "If you could fix my ribs afterward, we'll call it even." Enzor turns toward the others, "My name is Enzor. I am a scholarly mage by trade, and I'm trying to research the Threads, Looms, and Elementals, with a focus on Elementals for the time being. I know nothing of your group. However, if you would allow me to follow along, I'd be most appreciative. If you would not have me tagging along, please direct me toward the nearest city and I'll be on my way." He pauses for a second, then says in a dwarven-accented Elven, "Personally, I care little, if nothing, about the Human-Elf conflict. I think it's ludicrous, and just plain stupid. But, if you feel that I cannot accompany you because of such conflict, what I said previous still stands." Picking his belongings from the wreckage, a sharp pain forces itself to be known in his ribs.
"Pleased to meet you Mercy, I'm Enzor. And no, i was not a captive. I'm no pirate either. It was one big mistake.. I was looking for someone who could teach me or show me more about the Threads, Looms, or Elementals, and this guy comes out of nowhere and says he's seen a Thread nobody else has. So, i agreed to come along, not realizing the truth of it all. You may call me friend." Enzor dusts his clothes off disregarding the people around, knowing he'd be no help to those suffering. "Well, that was certainly ridiculous. Never trust a pirate, I don't know what I was thinking. Hmpf. Those were no pirates, those were madmen I say. Lunatics... Where'd my stuff go to now.." he says as he tries to locate his belongings. Keeping an eye on the Captain, Enzor waits for the right moment to cast a spell.
At this point Enzor has no real reason for attacking, or even joining the fight. He hopes the pirates will be easily dispatched, so he can continue on his quest they had no intent on fulfilling. Perhaps joining this new crew in doing so. Sorry, Init. shows pirates before me. I'll delay after the pirates anyway. Standing out of the way, Enzor waits for an opportune moment to act. Once he sees an opening, he'll jump on the boarded ship and try to hide behind something, while viewing the fight.
Jeez that's a horrible roll Ok, so.. i'm on a pirate's ship, just happily cruising along with them? Just got to thinking about this.. Why am i on this ship, and how did i get here? Perhaps they 'promised' to take me to one of the Threads, or to someone that could better explain elemental summoning to me? If that's the case, seeing them board/attack another ship probably gets me to think they may never had any intention of keeping their promise, and i'll see this as a way to get out. |
