Window does make little sense for Azaven, but the dress exactly matches Azaven's mini. Also, the windows in that are stained glass, not barred like the illustration here.

Yep, any product that relies on art like Pawns or the map packs generally waits until the end of the release so that the Art actually exists.

Although yes, many people do wait until the last issue of an AP is out so that they can work elements and themes from later parts into the story earlier.

Ahh. Well as I've brought up in another thread I've been having trouble loading up some of the smaller pdfs with large chunks of page not wanting to load. That being said though I'm going to see about downloading adobe reader and see if that works.

The drow army represents a lone drow warrior, I take it? 3 HP sounds really low if it's an entire unit.

Also, <3 for giving the unit stats for the tarrasque.

Unless it's changed from the Kingmaker rules massively, a medium army is 100 creatures.

I would like to see how this module stand up since a dragon would normally be a major threat and would be a difficult task for starting 1st level players to handle.

They'll be 6-7th level by the end, which would make a CR 9-10 Dragon a good end encounter

I suspect that Paizo want to test Nick's reliability with Towns of Golarion before considering him for an AP instalment again. A flare-out on the lines of the one he had with Rasor Coast could do significant damage to the AP line.

Having said that, I hope that things do work out and we see Nick on an AP cover again.

HeroLab may be saying no because normally in PFS you can not choose it as a familiar at all.

A long as your son's Sorcerer is 7th level or higher, he is NG, CG, or CN, and has the ability to gain a Familiar normally, he is good to go. :)

It's that last bit that's the problem. Edelen says that the Sorcerer has the Dragon Bloodline, meaning it doesn't have a familiar. Only Witches, Wizards and Arcane Blooded Sorcerers can get Familiars.

What you might want to consider is doing a short, 3 moth campaign, then looking to see if Reign of Winter as a complete campaign works for you?

Either you can pick something up, or potentially ask one of your players to run sometihng if one of them is interested? The GM who I play APs with will do that, one of our players did a short Werewolf game between RotRL & Second Darkness, and Mask of Nyarlathotep between that and our present Serpent's Skull game.

There are two, unpainted metal minis by Reaper (listed as Pathfinder Miniature:<mini name>), and nine prepainted plastics from Wizkids (listed as Pathfinder Battles, in one set.

The 3.5 Worm That Walks template is from the Epic Level Handbook, and as such I believe that it is available in the SRD. It's CR+3, and can be added to any evil wizard or sorcerer.

The Pathfinder one is in Bestiray 2 and is a +2 CR template

The Divine Scion from Inner sea Magic is actually illustrated by a picture of Nualia, so that might be worth a try. You might also be able to use that image for her in Maptools. True, it isn't excessively half-fiendish, but it is different enough from any of the ROTRL images that your players will be able to tell that she's changed

Will Kaiju also use mythic or have their own set of rules. I remember reading James saying that Kaijus need their own (long) subsystem.

From what I remember they were looking at Kaiju for B3, but a generic Kaiju template ended up being far too complicated to be worth it, so they were leaning towards statting specific Kaiju as their own entries.

Does a PC's story feat take up a feat slot? It would be a shame to force a PC to choose between something related to their background and, say, Power Attack.

At a guess, I'd say the default would be yes, with an option to the GM to give a bonus story feat at character creation

I got really excited about Path of Prestige because I am a huge fan on that mechanic. I was sorely disappointed. sorely. That book should have been released in the GM supplements line rather than the player supplements line as most of them are suitable only for NPC's and the rest are terrible.

I understand your argument for Mystic Theurge. Problem there would be allowing access to 9th level divine and arcane spells at 20 is way over powered.

Paths of Prestige is a campaign setting book, which is primarially a GM line...

That (barring major delays) it will be released on a Wednesday in July. Other than that it's too early to pin down any tighter.

The general rule is that Hardcovers do, softcovers don't. The resources to create a lite file are not inconsiderable, so they're held back to the big releases.

It won't. We know the products that will be coming out at Gencon, and B4 isn't amongst them.

We can't be too far off the October products going up though, which I'm guessing is 50% likely to make you happy (with the other 50% coming a month later)

I haven't read Kingmaker, but my impression was that it's very sandbox-y and would require a pretty deep knowledge/investment to really appreciate the kingdom-building elements, which seems to be the unique element of that AP. Since some these guys only play once a year and don't think about it much otherwise, I thought that aspect of it would be a waste. Not the case?

The events in each of the books tended to be tied to a comparatively tight timeline, but with months and years of kingdom development (which can be easily dealt with on email) in between. It might actually help to keep contact between your players up in between your sessions!

The only way to pay to get in is to invent a time machine and get yourself to be an attendee of Paizocon 2012, which is the group that they're using for high volume testing.

Also, the fact that your race gives you a bonus to a skill doesn't make that skill a class skill for you. It's just a simple +1 or +2 to the skill modifer.

Actually no. The kickstarter book will be by Rich Baker, and set in the bit of the River Kingdoms that PFO is going to be based in.

It'll be called 'The Crusader Road', and is probably another year off (it will probably come at the same time as Emerald Spire)

If the last two are from forgotten realms then I don't see a legal way to use them on Golarion.

I am fine with male gold dragons and female silver dragons. Also since the most famous gold dragon is male on Golarion I don't see them having more then one of the same type in this book.

So looking at the dates when modules will become avilable, it seems like 3 (!) modules will cone out at may 2013 (Fangwood Keep, Dustpawn and thiss one). Busy month!

Modules have moved to a quarterly schedule, and Paizo have only announced books until August.

The rules for Round five of RPG superstar also imply that he next module in this line will be the winner's module, so they don't actually know it's title or detail yet.

Depends on how busy Paizo's staff are around the release date - singles are generated by Paizo breaking open a number of boosters, then cataloging what they get out of them.

Today, my DM and I had a discussion about how many actions it takes to Magic Jar a target in combat. It matters, since your body is helpless while you're rolling the magic jar attacks.

Interpretation 1: Standard action to cast and possess the first time. If that fails, it's a full-round action to make subsequent possession attacks. This is based on "By casting magic jar, you place your soul in a gem or large crystal (known as the magic jar), leaving your body lifeless. Then you can attempt to take control of a nearby body, forcing its soul into the magic jar." which is similar to wordings of things like touch spells that give free actions to touch when done as part of the casting, but take standard actions to touch on later rounds.

Interpretation 2: Standard action to cast and fall into a coma. Next round, full-round action to possess. This is based on "Attempting to possess a body is a full-round action" with no exception listed for it.

Thoughts?

2 is how I've always seen it played. It makes sense that it takes some effort to force your soul out of your body and into a gem.

Interesting that the module is to be published in 2013 - presumably the November slot, which is tighter than previous superstar modules.

I would like to see(or be pointed to if it already exits) coverage on how hard ranged attacks in the woods or Jungle is. Often, maps do not show where every tree is, just that these squares are a different type of terrain. Should ranged attacks be penalized in such terrain?

What I do for woods is keep a pile of 1p & 2p coins that I can scatter across the battlemat to represent the trees.

If so, would pre-orders be available for pickup as Gen Con? (Or subscriptions, for that matter?) Kinda want one, but between shipping and customs fees, it's a killer.

According to Erik, Wizkids haven't yet pinned down a release time.

However, I believe that for Runelords they didn't bring stuff to Gencon as the shipping was too expensive.
