I would make a distinction between Summon Monster and Raise Dead.

Summon monster while has the [evil] descriptor, I would argue is not "that" evil. Especially since you have full control over the summoned.

Raise Dead (etc.) on the other hand, is explicitly evil because creating undead is Evil (with a capitol E). If I had a wizard (or summoner) in my game that summoned demons with SM, as long as they don't exclusively summon evil creatures (not counting fiendish lions etc.) that player would not experience any drift. That same wizard creates undead more than once or twice, I would first give them a warning, and if it continues, I would have their Alignment shift to N then NE.

I believe above should read animate dead

Animate dead = create zombies/skeletons. Leads to create undead

Raise dead = bring someone back to life. Leads to resurrection.

Just picked this up, looks good so far, but I noticed a slight slip from copy-pasting the generic archetype description:

page 4 wrote:
Archetypes modify a base class (in this case, the swashbuckler) by replacing its class features. When a player selects the swashbuckler class, she can choose to use the standard class features in the class's original description or she could choose to adopt an archetype.

This is the first set I actually want one of every single.

They open cases, which is part of the reasoning behind limiting the number of singles they stock - more stock means more staff time devoted to opening and sorting cases.

I am particularly thinking of on the way back I want to train to vancouver (have a concert to see) but the train leaves before 7 am.... would suck to pay for a 20 minute taxi ride for that... I mean I could take a coach later but the train is 300% better than a bus is...

Also has anyone figured out the double bed situation? It's less the cost than the weirdness of having two beds in the same room and not needing them. Will the hotel at least let you add someone to the room later if you find someone to share with? I'm not categorically against doing so but I don't know anyone locally offhand that can afford to go and would want to. If that changed it would be nice to add a person.

The light rail runs from central Seattle straight to the airport, from the station it's a 5 minute walk to the station

The hellknights are an order of warriors who believe in Law above all else, and believe in the rules of Hell as the optimal way to run a society. Despite that, they're not nessecarially evil - the majority are actually Lawful Neutral.

So then a party member would roll d20+REF Bonus and compare that to the creature's CON score?

Dude it has been explained, if you still don't get it after dragonhunterq's explanation I just don't know. The whole phrase in the stat block it is just not that important unless you fiddle with the stats of the creature.

The most important thing is that when the golem uses it's ability the characters affected make a reflex save. The DC of that save (inother words the number they need to roll including their reflex mod) is 14. Period end of story. That's all you really need to know unless this is some unique variant of the monster you are creating (which I doubt).

To sum it up:

step 1 golem uses it's splintering ability.
step 2 characters roll 1d20 and add their reflex modifier.
step 3 compare their score to 14. If it is equal or higher they take half damage, if it is lower they take full damage.
step 4 roll and apply damage.

Generally, you can ignore the mention of "constitution- based" unless you're messing about with the creature's stats.

if you were to change the creature such that it had a con score other than -, 10 or 1 it would change the save.

Any idea when the room rate will be established?

Almost certainly, the hotel has put the majority of the rooms aside for the convention block, but that's not free until the con is formally announced in autumn.

All consumable items (wands, scrolls, potions etc.) are presumed to be a minimum caster level to cast that spell. Since displacement is a 3rd level spell, a wizard casting it would have to be 5th level, so use 5th level for any level dependant elements, like duration.

It counts as the spell in every way so anything that stops displacement would do it. Glitterdust doesn't stop displacement though - the image 2 feet away would just be covered in the dust. You need true seeing or something else that gets through total concealment to negate the displacement.

on the above order, I've received the gargantuan dragon, and the package with the AP and flipmat, but the standard booster case hasn't turned up - I suspect UK customs didn't bother to send the notice that they were holding them awaiting me paying the duties on them.

Just trying to download the latest PFS guide, and noticed a few thing weird on my downloads:

1- my Paizocon 13 badges are appearing on the 'you own these but can't download them' section, along with the PFO stuff yet to be made

2- all the 'download last updated data is missing

But most importantly

3- when I try to download, nothing happens, except that the 'last downloaded' updates to today

Trying to download using Safari on the iPad Air 2, running iOS 8.3

My numbers were not taking feats into account, but they are taking Kensai and Bladebound into account. As I said in the post, normally, you are not allowed to have 2 archetypes from the same class, so I'm not sure what you mean by a Bladebound Kensai Magus.

Rynjin, I would venture that every single one of the 28756 1st level possibilities are perfectly viable, and the vast majority of the millions of combinations by level 2 are as well. Past that, many if not most of the billions of possible multiclass combinations by level 3 would be ridiculous, I agree.

You can have as many archetypes as you want, as long as they don't both replace the same class feature. I haven't check, but i presume that Bladebound & Kensai replace seperate sets of class abilities, so can both be applied.

I think the problem is that without seeing the OGL statements from the actual book, we can't really guide you.

If it's got the OGL, and the items you want to quote are not excluded by the product identity statement, then as long as the way you are distributing the item includes the OGL, and the copy of the OGL includes steam & steel in it's Section 15, you should be covered

PF87 section 15 -care minor spoilers of opponents from non-Paizo sources:

So, if I were interested in distributing the main bad guy from Chocking tower for example, I would look at his bit in the book. I would then need to go through it looking to see if any items in him were part of that product identity. His name would have to be removed first off, and most of the background on him would also have to come out, under the plots/storylines bit. If the statblock mentioned a God he worshipped (for example if he were a cleric), that would also have to come out, and any equipment, spells or feats including proper names would have to be removed (for example, if he had a Cayden's cup, that would need to come out, and something similar but not the same would have to go in - the best example is how Pathfinder has Mage's Sword, but the 3.5 handbook has a different name for the same spell. What you'd likely be left with is the statblock on it's own.

I am not a lawyer, and even if I were,it wouldn't be wise to take my advice based on what you'd supplied me (or without paying me!), but if you're just distributing for friends, or even distributing publiclly but for free, getting the OGL attached with a correctly completed Section 15 included should easily cover you. If you were planning to sell it on, it'd be worth paying a Copyright or at least Business Lawyer to sit down with the book, and the OGL and give you concrete advice on what to do, or at least general guidelines on how to implement the OGL, but from how you describe it? Nothing you'd do would be prticularly wrong, and certainly not wrong or big enough to earn a Cease & Desist notice, let alone a suit.

Edit:
Bah Gninjaed!

TLDR of above; copy the ogl straight, Only include things on the List you quote from the book, you're fine.

I'm not trying to derail anything - that seems to me to very clearly be one of the 'irons' Paizo has in the fire... its not occurring by happenstance, its occurring as a result of very conscientious and deliberate planning, something which I'm certain involves much discussion and deliberation... i.e. time. Manhours. In the interest of being inclusive and accepting of all sincerely offered viewpoints, even unpopular ones, why would I feel the need to censor my own?
It takes zero additional "manhours" (interesting term to use in this comment) to make a world that is open and inclusive.

The Elixir of Sex Change is a very tiny example of what I'm referencing. I'm assuming ti was written up, possibly a handful of drafts as I imagine most written work receives, reviewed by someone, possibly several someones as most written work is, some effort put into determining a proper gp cost for it and so on... and I imagine every step of the way that took some time. Not exhaustive amounts to be sure, but it adds up, especially when spread across numerous characters - NPC's and Iconics, items, story lines, etc.

Now, I'm assuming that the Elixir of Sex Change didn't magically appear on the printed page and I'm assuming its sole purpose was to make the world more open and inclusive, no? That suggests your statement isn't entirely true.

Yes, it would have taken some time to get in the book. Slightly more than the Elixr of the thundering voice below it, about the same time as the Drinking horn of the Pancea above it, and most importantly, exactly the same amount of time as the alternate item that would be needed to fill that 3.5 column inches in the ACG.

It's not that if Paizo stopped including LGBT friendly elements in their books it would free up time to deal with editing passes or any of the other issues, as they would still need to fill the book space used to describe those characters

Original Xanesha is a notorious party killer - you'd struggle to beat here with a full part of 8-9th level character.

You'll want to look at the anniversary version for a far more sensible, but still challenging X

It's not like they can leave the weight of the deck off when the package is weighed and shipped through UPS or whoever is the carrier. I suppose a shipping credit will be applied for the difference? In any case the $10 would make up for it and is a nice gesture.

Paizo's system knows the weight (and size) of the products, and so can calculate the appropriate shipping. Therefore they can calculate (shipping without addon deck) and charge you, then calculate (shipping with addon deck) and pay that to UPS
