Also, Walking Dead back on last night! WOOT!!!

Isn't that a collection of your family reunion videos? That guy shambling in the background? That's my uncle Mo, from Kentucky. That cute girl, gnawing on the mailroom? That's my cousin Debbie. She ate her husband so she's single.

Congrats on the rugrat. Here's hoping to see a Rugrat entry in Bestiary IV.

You know, I actually thought about that just after I posted and reread what I wrote. It would fit.

Paizo is proud to announce Teter, 2nd edition!

Haven't been able to keep up, but no worries on the surprise. Blown up realms still have possibilities.

Sadly, it doesn't look like I can join in things. I still have focus issues. They're better than they were, but I don't like the fatigue/stress that sets in when I try to juggle alts and stories. I've really fallen off of the wagon on that front. It took me an hour to write one page of narrative last week. Kept rewriting it, and getting frustrated with myself. Bleh. At least I can read again.

Well wishes on the doc visit, Dalesman. I've had a small murmur for years with no ill effects. Hopefully yours is the same.

Aberzombie's Really Grim Fairy Tales:

The Very Bored Boy

There once was a young lad named Hud. He was very bored, because he lived in a small village where nothing ever happened and everything was the same every day. Then one day, Hud was walking through the forest when he came to a clearing. Standing in the midst of this clearing was a cloaked and shadowy figure holding an ornately carved wooden box.

"If you take this box back to your village and open it", said the mysterious figure, "I promise you will never be bored again."

So, the boy took the box back to his village, and when he was in the town square he opened it. Smoke and mist issued forth from the open box, and from it emerged a small army of demons. The monsters dragged every person they could find back into the the box, there to be tormented for all eternity.

The end.

Moral of the story: Don't talk to strangers.

What? I thought you'd appreciate the two dozen garden gnomes. They're in the mail, on their way to you now!

:)

Hope the hassle isn't too much. My parents' first online transaction got their credit card number stolen, and it took 10 years for them to try again after a scare like that.

No gnomes!

Despite the charges it was the company that contacted my wife to alert her. By mail, unfortunately. And my wife doesn't like to open mail from her cc company until right before pymnts are due. And not during the holidays because she's so busy. Luckily they froze the card automatically, until we made a pymnt. Then the charges started up again. Argh.

CC company's hometown - El Paso
Bogus charges - El Paso

Hmmm?

A ton of low-moderate value gas station purchases. Which is why I think they created a dup card so they could swipe and go without having to sign.

Kristin, I'm glad to see that you and Kirk are trying to kick the habit. I watched as the things killed my mom, but she wasn't going to give them up. I wish you success in your attempt.

E7, I'm glad your daughter is doing so well in her musical pursuits! My son plans to study music in college (he graduates from HS in June), and he was excited to find out he got immediately selected for a festival put on by his #1 college choice.

Cool! Same age as my daughter.

Haley just got selected to perform in an area percussion ensemble. She's also considering trying out for the UofM Marching Band if she goes there this fall. Hurry Air Force! We needs to know about that ROTC scholarship!

Woah, she's awesome! And if anybody doubts that, I challenge them to spend a few minutes trying to play a drum set. It ain't easy. Congrats to her on a great performance.

Thanks, all. And that selection is 11 minutes long in total! The band director selected that one especially for Haley to get a chance to shine. It helped her turn one of the dark corners she wrestled with last spring.

Though she skipped out on Marching Band in the fall, she's happy to be back for Jazz and Symphonic. It seems that a number of her percusssionists really missed her leadership/skills. Too bad they weren't very supportive of her before, but it's a good life lesson for them all.

Good stuff. I bet she'd get a kick out of this. Be sure to pay attention at around 1:05 - after most of the solo is over.
