Background:

Emilio was the firstborn son of the Felix family. A very wealthy merchant family based in Kintargo, cheliax. The family had a few ships and would constantly trade with every place they could. Their profit margin was so high that Emilio hardly had to do anything at all, and anything he was supposed to he didn't do anyways. He grew restless and bored with his life that by the age of 16, when he was supposed to be being schooled in economics by his mother, he went out into the commons and found a nice roudy tavern. It was there that his real life began. He would spend his money on food thinking that the alcohol was cheap and demeaning, and listening to the adventures the bards would give out. He had so wished that he could be one of them, but he had grown to accept that he would have to take over as a merchant. It wasn't until a human, Nathan by name, came up to him, buying him a drink, that he started being encouraged that it was possible to live the life and make a story of himself. By 18 they had become close friends who would go out on "adventures" mostly consisting of theft, vandalism, and other minor endevours. After a while that stuff got too easy and they started putting together bigger and bigger plans, always with booze in hand. It wasnt until he got caught that these plans really got serious. He got caught stealing a ruby from a guard, just for the fun of it, and was brought before his father. His father then banned him from ever seeing Nate and he was confined to the manor. It was then that Nate and him decided to carry out the plan to steal from his own family and make off to anyplace they could. The plan went off without a hitch, right down to getting on a boat. The boat stayed in course and made it to the shackles. They got off there for their new life of true adventure. Going to the Formidable Maid to celebrate their victory they drank until blackout, why not, they had the money.
