"Who's talking about beer?" Ember's a bit confused as the Gremlins attack them.

"Hey! Watch it you little bugger!" Apparently the Gremlins were expecting normal sized people because the surprise attack went right over her head. Ember will turn and try to hit whatever attacker her with her hammer.

Ember gasps is surprise and pokes Keldor in the thigh. "Psst! Hey guys, don't be too obvious about it, but I swear I just saw something personlike moving from that last junk pile to that pathway over there." Ember nods her head in the direction of it rather that being too obvious and pointing. "Anything that sneaky can't be up to any good."

Unable to do anything for the dead, Ember pokes about the boxes and crates heaped in the room. Hoping to find something of either use or some clue as to what was going on here.

Ember's cheerful little voice pipes up at Keldor. "Don't worry, I'll be your helpful little seeing-eye gnome until your sight returns. Assuming it does of course. I mean, I guess we don't know for sure how long that sort of thing lasts."

"Hmmm, on the topic of eyesight, are we staying put here until it returns or pushing on? If we stay here, how long do we give their eyesight to return before we head back to town?"

I've always allowed people to roll either high or low as long as they've stated which they are choosing and being consistent with that throughout the game.

I agree with Basil on flavorwise reasons. If Rase stays in the back and Sil takes point, he would likely be too far away from her for his own peace of mind.

His character likely doesn't know that yet. I can totally understand why someone encased in a full body suit would think that they would be the best choice to take point until they get a full measure of everyone's true abilities.

Ember looks a bit miffed. "We were having a discussion, not an argument and I look NOTHING like a fishwife."

"And does anyone recognize the dead guy? I'm really not sure who all were in the previous parties that came this way. And can anyone tell what killed him?"

"Yes, I do still find a fault in it. Any trip will still take time with the time increasing the further we get from the entrance. We have no way to recast the water breathing spell we used to get here, thus any extra time spent moving around bodies is an inefficient use of the duration of the spell. Speaking of which, do you actually need air like we do? Also, since there is undeniably something dangerous and deadly in these caverns, I do not like the idea of you going off on your own, carrying a dead body that might attract something hungry."

I believe that Ember and Keldor are both carrying Sunrods.

"Basil, hold up for a moment. Looking for potential clues is useful and something that we should definitely do, but taking his body outside is not. Just think for a moment, are you going to do that for every body we find as we go further and further in? The distance that you would be traveling alone to do that would keep increasing, raising risk to both yourself for being alone and for us for not having you and your weapon with us. Plus it wastes time we could better spend searching for possible survivors."

Ember continues along with the group resuming her place behind Keldor, still considering him to be a most excellent shield wall and not minding the view.

Ember is careful to keep Keldor between her and the firebeetle as she lobs a small bolt of fire at the big bug.

So wait... I remember a kid Power Ranger that became adult sized when he morphed. (Blue one I think) So does that mean if Ember was a Power Ranger she could be a normal sized person when she morphed?

"Yup. Here you go Keldor." Ember passes a sunrod over to the eidolon covered Keldor.

Then Ember takes off her boots and strips down to her underthings in preparation for the swim. She shoves all her stuff into her bag and then pulls out a sunrod of her own to use.

She'll do her best to paddle alongside the others in the water, but still ends up being the last one out. Once back out on dry(ish) land, she will get her clothing back out her bag and toss it on hastily.

"Welp, let's get exploring." Ember will follow along with the group, staying behind Keldor.

Ember bounces up and down all excitedly. "Oooohhh, that is so neat! Where do you get one of those? I'd like to get one too! Maybe it could even make me as big as you guys!"

She bounces forward and knocks on the armor/eidolon, most likely at thigh height, testing the hardness of it.

I'd say we are done here and the game plan would be to head on over for the free casting of Water Breathing and on then get underway with our little expedition.

Never being able to withstand the look of a hurt puppy, Ember tries to console Keldor with a friendly pat on the back. However, due to their size difference, her aim is much lower than she intended...

"A free casting of Water Breathing from Joram would indeed be very welcome. I was wondering how long I'd be able to hold my breath while swimming since I'm guessing my lungs are a bit smaller than my companions. The vermin and scavengers sound typical and what I'm sure we all expected to find in such a place. The strange humanoids are a bit more worrying, but not entirely unexpected since there has to be something weird going on to have kept Khonnir from returning."

"Most interesting is this wall of solid metal that you mentioned. No one would build just one random wall of solid metal under the mountain just for s@&+s and giggles. Maybe there is an entire complex hidden under there just waiting for us to explore it?"

Ember seems very excited to get out there and begin exploring (and finding Khonnir of course.)

"I guess I should grab my backpack and toss some tools in it, just in case we find anything fun to tinker with. Can't pass up those sorts of chances. I should grab a sunrod or two from the shop too since torches won't well when wet."

Still grinning, though containing any remaining laughter, Ember heads off to her mom's shop at a quick pace, not wanting to keep up the group for long.

Ember will go ahead and buy a Sunrod it that is ok.

Ember manages to take a few deep breathes. "I guess we should get back to the discussion of heading out after Val's dad?"

Ember trails off as she tries to think of anything else that might be needed.

Ember nods at Basil. "Disassembling is always the surest way ti end attacks. It would be both interesting and fun to get to take apart this thing and figure out how it was originally put together. Maybe we could even figure out what its original purpose was. Though of course we shouldn't do that here in the house. You never know what could explode. We should haul it out to a workshop, much safer that way for everyone."
