I am not supposed to be there for another couple of hours, have to arrive fashionably late you know. I don't really have anything else to do." She gives them a wink and a smile. "And I couldn't let you do it for free, I'd have to at least give you something in return. Two strapping men such as yourselves surely need some kind of recompense." She turns and walks slowly and seductively back into the Cart House, making sure to put some extra sway into her hips. Keth Longstrider wrote:
Elizabeth shakes her head at Keth's suggestion. She whispers to them, "Keth three doors is too many for you to try and protect. It would be too easy for one of them to slip by you. Instead, I suggest that I enter alone, while the rest of you wait out here in hiding. I will engage them in a discourse as you suggest and try to lure them out here into the Cart House where we can better contain them and where it is less likely that they will be able to summon help. Keth, I suggest you and Garth behind each of the doors, which I will open both of, and Arius and Branahm in the cart. Once they are out here, then close the doors behind them and step out. Anju, you and your wolf shall wait in the yard out there and come in to assist if they put up a fight. How does that sound?" If everyone agrees, then while they all get into position, Elizabeth moves away from the doors and slowly waves her hands over her body while whispering quietly to herself. Once done, she makes sure everyone is out of sight, then pulls both doors open and strides into the room, stopping just inside the threshold."Good evening gentlemen. It is a fine night. Much too fine to be working late. What brings you in to work when you should be at home with your families? I noticed your light on and was wondering if I was able to purchase some meat for a function that I am attending in an hour? My normal butcher is closed and someone suggested your esteemed establishment. I wanted something fresh and was wondering if there was anything good out here in the yard that I may accquire?" Diplomacy Check. (1d20+9=29)
Elizabeth eases the door closed quietly and waits patiently for Arius' Message. Once it comes, she explains the situation and tell them to come to the main entrance to the Cart House. She then moves over to the main door to meet the rest of the party as they arrive, ushering them inside quickly and quietly. Arius Pelgane wrote: "Elizabeth, I'm sure that you're familiar with Elgarth's Cantrip of Remote Conversation, but...." "I am familiar with the principles, although I do not have that particular spell in my repotoire." She turns to Keth. "Let us be off then my brawny friend, to see what we can see."With that, she turns and heads off towards the Cart House. After a moment, you loose sight of her as she fades into the surrounding shadows and is gone. Stealth. (1d20+8=25) She quietly opens the door a crack to peer inside and once noticing the coast is clear, steps through the slim break in the door. Taking in the Cart House at a glance, she hurries towards the doors on the far wall and gives them a try. Disable Device (Open Lock). (1d20+7=21) Just in case one is needed for either door. Elizabeth and Anju return to the meeting place near the Butcher's Shop.
Elizabeth gives Keth a withering stare.
To Anju:
Spoiler:
"Now my dear I have nothing on me at this time so I am going to have to return to my apartment and get some things. If we are going to be using the Fortune Teller's home as a base I think is be prudent for me to store some things there. So, we shall make a stop at my place while I change and of course you may change there yourself. Then, we shall go to the witch's home and deposit my belongings. And finally we shal return to the men, poor simple beings that they are. I feel it will be up to us to make sure that they do themselves no harm and to lead them as to the correct course of action from time to time. Although of course it must seem as though they are making the suggestions themselves of course." She gives Anju a wink, drops her hand and leads her through the streets to her apartment, where she quickly changes into a figure hugging black suit, Caress sitting at her hip and a small black spell pouch sitting next to a larger pouch. She then hurriedly packs a small bag with some more belongings. She makes sure to check out Anju's figure as she is changing, raising an eybrow at her travel stained appearance, but appreciating the fine curves of her elven form. Once they are done, they then returns to Zellara's and deposits her things. Once done, they head off to meet up with the men. Elizabeth sees the others approaching the rendezvous and gives them a nod. Once together she asks whether they found anything important. She then relates the details of the Harrow reading, sounding slightly skeptical as she does so.
"Well could that have been any more cryptic? I suppose it gave us some ideas to mull over, but nothing substantial. I agree with Branham, one straight answer is much better than a bunch of quarter answers." Elizabeth takes another look at the cards in Arius' hands and thinks that maybe they're not as powerful as she first thought. " So let's head out to the rendezvous and see what the others have discovered." Better now guys. Swamped with work but back intot he swing of things. =) Garth Blacksteel wrote: "Don't you think most of the guards that were closest to Vankaskerkin are the ones that defected with him?" asks Garth. "Not necessarily dear. Sometimes it's good to have men on the inside. Plus not everyone who agrees with him will have had the opportunity or the inclination to skip out." Diplomacy Check for Gather Information. (1d20+9=25) Elizabeth heads off to flirt with some of the Guards, asking questions about why Vancaskerin would go rogue and who would most likely have contact with him. She makes it seem as though she is impressed by his strength of character, while not actually agreeing with what he's done. This makes her seem acceptable to both those who side with Vancaskerin and those who don't, so as not to get on anyone's bad side. "So should we track down leads about shiver first, or try to bring in this Vancaskerin? My vote is for Vancaskerin, but I know Anju has a more personal stake in the shiver problem, so I would not be adverse to delving into that mystery either."
Interesting Elizabeth thinks to herself, she actually looks to be truly sad. It must be a trick surely. The b!tch can't be that soft. To the Queen, Elizabeth curtseys politely and says, "Thank you for your kindness Your Majesty. I offer you my condolences in your time of grief. We would be happy to assist you in any way possible." As long as it benefits me that is, she thinks to herself. She then follows the others out of the room behind Sabina. Elizabeth accepts Arius' offer of Prestidgitation, makes sure that her dress is as revealing as possible to help with any problems they may have with the Guards and then follows the others to Castle Korvosa.

Oh, I should probably roll then. Sorry, all my other PbPs just give max HP each level. 2nd Level Hit Points. (1d6=1)Holy Good Gravy I hope you roll better than that!!! =( Arius Pelgane wrote: Arius pales. "Wait, the King is dead? Do you know how it happened?" "I'm not sure of the specifics. I heard people on the street gathering in groups and shouting about it. It looked like some of them were getting pretty rowdy and could very easily have caused a scene. If that's any indication of what the rest of the city is like, then it may get a little hectic out there." She turns and addresses everyone."I wouldn't mind staying with you if you are going to be venturing onto the streets. I'd feel a lot safer in numbers." Elizabeth follows Ox and Branham to the door and says, "alright, you boys make sure he gets to a good home now." She stays watching them until they turn around a corner, then heads back into the house to see the others.

"Oh I know all too well that Academaec certification isn't everything it's cracked up to be. My father pressured me into my studies against my will, but that doesn't mean that I don't know a thing or two. I have no itntention of showing it to my father or any of his stuffy colleagues. I was offering to look at it myself. I am a novice, but I just thought that if noone else had any magical skills that I might be able to help. I will take a look at them after we see this piece of filth to the authorities. I only hope that they will be able to hold him and he doesn't pay his way out." Elizabeth sways seductively up to Arius and looks greedily at the Harrow Deck.
This is basically Elizabeth's introduction to the party. Feel free to respond if you like, or we can just head straight to Zellara's after someone mentions she might be able to help me with the Harrow Card. I'm happy for either. =)
Spoiler:
What Harrow card was it Cap?
Elizabeth heads down the stairs into the hold of the boat. Once there, she notices the open door leading out onto the walkway. She walks slowly along the walkway and peers cautiously into the area through the door. She hears raised voices and so creeps slowly around the edges of the room to better hear what is being said. Stealth. (1d20+8=21) Perception (Listen). (1d20+6=15) Spoiler:
Elizabeth grabs the key from the Gnome's body and does a quick search of the bodies (Perception (1d20+6=7)) but comes up with nothing. She cautiously makes her way from room to room until she reaches the large room at the rear of the building. (Sorry Cap I can't find that map, the only links I could find no longer have anything there, so I'm just gonna look at the map from my copy of Edge of Anarchy, hope you don't mind) Basically she moves from A4, A5, A6, A7, A8. Once there, she notices the ship against the building through the crusted over windows and heads back up the stairs into A6, then out to A3 and down onto the boat. Elizabeth narrows her eyes at the Fishery across the road.
Cpt_kirstov wrote: not problem. Cap, I put the background up. I'll put the rest of the stats up when I get another chance. Just a quick question:
Spoiler:
I am starting at 2nd level, so what starting cash do I get? Normal 1st level starting cash, or 2nd level cash as stated in the wealth by level chart? Just asking, not worried either way. Cpt_kirstov wrote: Garth's first post is up, as soon as I get a back story for Elizabeth I'll make one for her too. No problem. Sorry, my wife and kids have all been really sick so I have been on duty looking after them all and have had bugger all time to do anything at length the last week. I will get it done in the next day or so. Dread wrote: dang..so we may need a rogue....well Elizabeth looks to be a Rogue/Conjuror...so it depends on how many levels rogues she wants to take...I may have to multiclass rogue/ranger if we dont end up with anyone solid...Id rather not though. She is primarily a Charismatic Rogue, with a few levels of Conjuror thrown in here and there. When I finally get around to entering her backstory you'll see why. Wizard spells will all be buff or utility spells, so don't expect any heavy backup in the DPS Department... as a matter of fact, Evocation is one of her Schools of Opposition.Hi everyone. I will be joining your little group very soon and look forward to playing with you all. =) Cap: I will get Elizabeth statted up and written out ASAP. Just let me know when and where you want to introduce her. Cheers
