Tanned of skin and fair of face, Eleuterio is a tall man with the bandy legs of a sailor and the scars of a warrior. His head is clean-shaven, and he sports a black goatee on his face. He has a tattoo of a mermaid on his left forearm, which is skillfully done. He's often jovial, though mention of his ancestor, "Rumrunner" Reis, tends to darken his mood.

Eleuterio grew up listening to stories of his grandfather's exploits on the high seas. It was at an early age that he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life - he wanted to be a sailor, just like old Captain Reis. He ran away from home at twelve, stowed away on the first clipper he could find, and began to learn the trade.

It was shortly after that that he learned the truth. Captain Reis was better known as "Rumrunner" Reis, a rather dispicable Free Captain, and he was likely the progeny of Reis and a woman of negotiable virtue. It was an eye-opener for Eleuterio, and it soured him against pirates. He swore then and there that he would make amends for his grandfather's life of piracy, and do what he could to become a pirate hunter.

His convictions drove him, and he quickly became skilled with the cutlass. His blade shone with his righteous fury, and more than one bloodthirsty buccaneer fell to his blade. At first, he was indiscriminate in his raids, but he quickly realized that there was no money in altruism. He still went after the more rapacious and cutthroat pirates, and only concerned himself with the less murderous ones when the price was right. Recently, however, bounties have begun to dry up, and he has begun to look for work in Port Peril.

Future Plans:

Simply put, I want him to fall.

I think it would a great story to tell - the noble paladin forced into servitude, given the chance to show mercy to the man who put him to the lash...and giving into his destiny, killing the man and damning his soul.

Basically, he'll only be a paladin for a level or two, and then probably straight fighter (corsair) from there on out.
