Although I generally despise the EU, I recognize that it has made some very good additions to the Star Wars universe in the form of the KOTOR and Legacy series (wich I love), and the campaing sourcebooks, covering those eras present complete information for players and gamemasters who don´t want to play in the films timeframe.

The problem to me comes when use with all eras supplements, or core supplements if you like, gravitate more towards the EU than to the films as is the case of the JATM, and most of the releases since 2002.

When I bought the Legacy Era Campaing Guide I knew it was 100% EU, I even get along with TCWCG having EU content, and I´m sure the RECG will have a lot of EU material (like it´s 2001 predecesor). My complain is that we don´t have a sole free EU book with 100% film content. This could be easily fixed with the release of a pair of Movie Trilogy Sourcebooks (prequel and classic) in the likeness of the 1993 release by WEG. After buying almost 30 Star Wars d20 books, am I asking too much?.

I have had enought expanded universe, I rather prefer the Star Wars Rpg remain focused on the films, much like the WEG 1st edition (or even the 2nd until the appereance of the novels sourcebooks).
I know that any additon made by the Rpg are considered EU, but I can not shake the feeling that the old WEG supplementes had a more film-like spirit.
If the direction of the line does not change (and I´m sure it won´t) I think it´s time to move back to the WEG edition or forward to other games.
