Mini collectible PHBs will be sold by the dozen, with different covers, rules, sizes and prices (some of them edible, others blank but gold platted).

They will cost only 5$ apiece (60$ for a display), and police size will be 1/4. They will edit a new set every 6 months.

The uncommon will feature "TeleTubbies Kobolds - Cover"
"DemoBuffycon" will be the rarest one, and should trade in conventions at some 5000$ !

Some will be able to send msn messages.

I am thinking it a few steps ahead as we are about to finish CoC now.

I re-read the Last Resort module and I am pretty disappointed with it: not much background about the druids order, only a few high-level encounters... I was considering adding background encounters (more ruins with infos about the druids and their allies, may be glimpses of other past cultures and so on). Also, more roleplay or non-combat encounters involved would be ok for me.

Also, (as explained in the "AOW Campaign Arc Design" thread)I plan to start my tie-in with Castle Greyhawk and Return of the Eight just after CoC, I am considering using Isle of the Ape instead of the Island of Last Resort. I will of course adapt and transfer some of the encounters.

Do you have any suggestions or comments on this one ? May be some of you already have modified Last Resort, or used another adventure to add some flavor to it ?

Thanks in advance guys

Paris: I received mine (#3) yesterday! Youpiya!

Many different facets to my job:

Excel Specialist
Diplomat
Scapegoat
Recruitment Sarge
Point Man
Bad Guy
Social Worker
...
I could add many more

My job title being "Compensation and Benefits & Human Resources Projects Manager" in an international firm with HQ based in Paris, France.

I will.

You may have to deal with advance XP, but the challenges are great, and some players might not make it without a few raise deadspells...
Also, you may scale future AoW installments to match you players levels, and end up with a clearly Epic finale !

Cheers

SPOILERS AHEAD about AoW, Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk, Rary the Traitor, Return of the Eight...

I am very much interested in your arcs (Bright Lands and Gradsul).

We are finishing Champion's Belt, and I plan on speeding/skipping parts of a Gathering of Winds (Ilthane will not fight to death and escape if possible, to be encountered later, as explained below).

My players are a little bit behind in XP, as I do not like so much the speedy way you get them and rise in third edition d&d... So I see there an opportunity for them to go other places and have more encounters with iconic NPC: Return of the Eight will provide me an opportunity to introduce Tenser (literally) as in my Campaign he is not revived yet!
I will use Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk (with Vaine and other leaders of Iuz Army actually members of the Ebon Triad, the Black Dragon being Ilthane and so on). This will introduce Robilar and a new tie with Rary, the Bright Desert and Sulm.

Hence, I am very interested in your plot arcs, and 3.5 conversions of NPC and such. Any possibility to get more information by email (and to share my little conversion of Return of the Eight with you of course) ?

Keep up the good game!

Same for me!

Dungeon & Dragon final issues finally reached me yesterday in France.

What a relief.

Thanks for the follow-up Paizo.

Nothing new:
- Alien (nothing scared me more as a child)
- The haunting ('63 version), scared me to death without blood, dead people, ghost or monsters. Only the sounds (not the music)and the acting. A lesson... I purchased the DVD as soon as it was published. The magic is still there.
- The Blair Witch Project (those guys were fans of The haunting and delivered their Lovecraftian tribute to this monument...)
- The Shining
- The exorcist
- Psycho
- Jaws

Did not see many of the recent production.

False alarm !

I had it, and did not remember (actually never read it! Shame on me).

Sorry

I just realised that, if I have still not received Dragon 359 and Dungeon 150 (mentionned this in the "European Subscribers" Dungeon Subscriptions thread) whereas Dragon 358 was waiting for me when I got back from vacation, I actually never received Dragon 357! I just came by the cover on another website and it occured to me I had never seen this one...
Cosmo, does it come from the same issue we know about in Europe (I thought this occured on latest issues only)?

Thanks

I received Pathfinder yesterday... Nice feeling and nice product.
Still no Dungeon 150 and Dragon 359.

Cheers

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately I do not own Cityscape.

Moreover situation is getting tricky. A game is being organised on the spot as most players will be available tomorrow night, and I do not have received my EttRoG from Amazon yet! I will have to start the Champions Games before introducing any Ruins of Greyhawk plot...

Pity, but I am so happy to game tomorrow!

Nice suggestion indeed. I will think all of it over !

Also, my thief is tempted by the assassin prestige class, or another one (do not remember the name) similar without the evil alignment requirement. Of course he would like to join the Assassin's Guild.
As it is historically an offspring of the Thieves Guild with the mission of disposing of GH enemies, I think the Guild might be interested in testing him during AoW. Do you think Greyhawk Ruins would be a good testing ground for that matter ? May be the Assassins could contact him after Tirra so that he has double reasons to explore the Castle ?

Last one: I have a new player joining, greatly tempted to come up with a druid. He knows the campaign is rather dungeon/city oriented, but insists. Do you see a good motivation for him to visit the Castle also ?

Thanks again for your insights.

Welcome !

English is not my native language either, I better dwell with the Frog in its Temple... we will practice alongside.

Hastur, many thanks for the detailed recommendations.

I am extremely happy about your feedback (in the sense that you think IT IS indeed quite possible to tie into AoW).

As the thief of the band is a member of the GH City Thieves Guild, and knows Tirra... good moments ahead.

Unfortunately, the characters are already located in the Crooked house and defeated the mind flayer in his lair in the sewers. No possibility to act on this one. But may be I can figure out a good way to relocate them to the Green Dragon.

I agree about the AoW not pinning enough the characters against cultists of the Ebon Triad. This is probably a good opportunity to correct this. But on the other hand I like the Iuz/GH Ruins/Zagyg/St Cuthbert/Robilar story. So I may try to work out something to involve everyone.

Thanks again, I will post future developments on this arc (although our game is particularly slow, sessions being about 6-8 weeks apart...).

No froggies yet?

Paris, France.

Hi, we are finishing HoHR at the moment, and preparing to enter the arena...

I do not have the Castle Greyhawk book yet, could anyone who has it tell me if there is a way to mix it with AoW storyline and use it alongside the Dungeon path ? I would love to see my group delve in to it, especially as some of the players made several forays into 2nd edition Greyhawk Ruins! They have fond memories of it (many wonders, heavy casualties, expeditious retreats...)

Cheers

Hello,

Am living in France. Received Dragon 358 last week, but still nothing about Dungeon 149 or 150 or Pathfinder 1 (or email with download) or Dragon 359 (which is quite normal).

Laurent

Before moving my Dungeon And Dragon subs to PATHFINDER (probably), could I get any idea of the shipping options offered for international (Europe/France) and of the costs ?

Thanks

Black Baron, Stabbity Death, your works are awesome !

Should you want to sell them through ebay or accept offers to buy them, I would be delighted to be able to use them after you in my campaign. I unfortunately lack the time (and talent) to make one for myself.

Again, congrats.

On Wizards site, LG category :

Knights of Veluna, High Forest, the Hart, Furyondy, and reprint of the Silent One.

Cheers

Big hello from Paris !

I actually know of a place like the one you have in mind down here. I myself have never entered it, but one of my fellow gamers has been there several times and found it great. They are not specialized in rpg, but here is the deal: for 5 euros (more or less 6 dollars) you can pick one of their 200 games (board games from the whole world for the most part + chess, cards...) and play for the rest of the day. For 3 more euros you can change for another one. Drinks are for 1 euro (coffee, tea...). The place has been running for years. Many students, families with kids and so on. Of course you can join other tables and play with them. It is called L'oya Café (could not find an email). You'll find address as well as other places in Paris there : http://en.parisinfo.com/rub7069.html

Hope you can set up your place !
