Method 3: How about fan loyalty? Such as the On-going Subscriptions in a tiered chronicle? If you have 1 on-going subscription, you qualify for this race..., 2-this race or race 1, 3...

OK, today's Halloween! Entering the last names now; Brian H, Jack B, Steven S, Gerald V, James P, Bill V, Derek L, Cyril C, Robert T, Richard B, Max T, Jason K, Paul L, and Isabelle L. I've bought a ticket roll and we'll begin assigning ticket numbers to names and throwing them in a hat or something. We'll make a video of the drawing, which I'll post to my Facebook and I'll post the link here. Good luck everyone and thank you very much. The Society raised $1,995 ranging from $10 to $210 donations! Altogether we raised $6,263 showing in GoFundMe plus a private donation of a check mailed directly to Randy's family (avoiding the 5% GoFundMe takeaway fee) of $6,500. So all together $12,763. I'll be leaving the GoFundMe sight up of course but the drawing for the boon is today.

Hey everyone. I'm raffling off a goblin boon in the PFS message board for a friend just diagnosed with cancer and I've been handed an item to raffle off here. I have an original alternate cover for ROTRL #1. Link of what I'm talking about here ROTRL #1. My friend and co-worker has Stage 4 liver cancer and I'm doing what I can to help with costs. I set up a GoFundMe in his name here GoFundMe. For every $10 you donate, I'll give you a raffle ticket we'll draw on Halloween 10/31/16. Make sure to put in comments when you donate "ROTRL #1".

And thank you. Every little bit helps no matter how small.

Hello everyone. A friend and co-worker of mine was just diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer. Medical expenses are going to be huge. I have created a GoFundMe

GoFundMe:
site to donate to his cause. Each donation of $10 gets you 1 ticket for the drawing on Halloween Oct 31, 2016. Please place in comments of your donation "I Be Goblin" and I'll know to award raffle tickets to your donation. The drawing of course is for an official (unused) I BE GOBLIN boon from GENCON 2012. I hope this doesn't violate the use of boons or solicitation on this site.

Our experience of three: Merisiel, Amaryllis, and Kyra. We dispatched Ghosts of the Deep fairly easily, two whole blessings left to draw from and only Amaryllis died... During The Lone Shark Amaryllis 1002 hung with Kyra while Merisiel blew through the Lonely Isle like a BOSS. The Brine Dragon Hunt was easy as far as turns went because we were using several of those turns to run back to Kyra for some healing, character decks were bleeding like a sieve.

We also played Ghosts of the Deep with five people total (2 new guys of our home group using pregen decks I built for them). One of those new guys was...whining? 3/4 of the way through, "There's no way to finish this in time, it's too hard, how can you possibly beat this.." all the way to the last blessing card left to pull when we got the Boss, I explained how to temporarily close the last locations and come out with a win. I said, "That's how". I can't wait until next week when our five-man home group takes on The Lone Shark, I'll try to get a video recording of our resident Doomsday guy:)

You'll have to take the issue of Paizo only issuing errata when they do reprints up in a more prominent location, as it's a wider issue than PFS. But generally you won't get errata on the Additional Resources page, as that's not what it's there for.

To be honest, I think it just shows the value of the community on here. You posted a problem PC build you were struggling with and several people (myself included) replied pointing out problems with it, in an effort to help you. I've never played a white-haired witch, I just googled 'white haired witch pathfinder' and went to the first result, where the errata is called out.

And I too have a family to care for.

Good stuff, moving on.

I completely understand the desire to remove Tieflings and Aasimars, with blood of angels/fiends they are very powerful for just about every class, also their removal means that the only race that can early entry into Eldritch Knight (base Aasimar) is now a boon race once again.

I'm slightly disappointed about the announcement that Kitsune/Wayang/Nagaji will be legal since I just traded for a boon of them, but I suppose I can let it collect dust until such time that they are no longer openly available.

Well at least a Separatist Cleric with Domains Fate Inquisition and Trickery still meets the 2nd level arcane/divine requirements for Mystic Theurge at 1st level regardless of race. 2 Ranks of wizard and BOOM mystic theurge at level 4. I'm betting the new races will allow new ways to min/max to the hilt and build different abominations than the ones that already exist.

This all comes down to tactics. High level play success is 65% tactics, 30% party comp, %5 build type

If the 5% party comp includes a 2W Fighting Dbl Barreled Pistol Gunslinger you don't need the other 95%.

Giants and Balors and Witches oh my. I think all that is missing the point. A witch and a party of who cares with scythes, longspears, and greataxes walk into a 4-hour PFS scenario. The witch casts slumber on EVERYTHING nullifying 75% of the scenario and all walk out an hour later. The next three hours finds all the 'who cares' rolling up witches and the GM searching for a scenario specifically aimed at defeating witches (not many I grant you).

You can do that, so long as the Chronicles don't already have the old event code, or you reissue new Chronicles. (I'munder the impression that players can't just scratch out information on the Chronicle sheet after the GM signs it.)
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if he's not reporting the events afterwards he's probably not setting up the event code before hand. (i usually make the event as I'm reporting it)

Bad doggie...

Events should be setup on Paizo a month in advance so people who know how to use this message board can visit the events page when traveling and find a game most anywhere. That's partly why the chronicles and such are set up the way they are. I can go anywhere, anytime, and play a game...IF i know it's available. Isn't this the season of low attendance? Why? Many people are traveling that's why and they can't find a game because GM/Coordinators aren't setting up the event on Paizo well in advance.

I've been GMing quite a bit again lately, and I have run into an issue. What would you think is the best way to handle a gunslinger who sits down at your table?

Should I:
A) Not say anything and attempt to kill his character every chance I get
B) Be up front about my intent to kill his character so that he has the chance to leave the table or switch characters
C) Leave the table without a GM to avoid the confrontation

Yes, these are pretty much the only options. It's sad, but it's true. I appreciate your input.

Right on! I'll take option B with my gunslinger. Anyone closed minded as you can't be too great at thinking out of the box so you'll NEVER take my slinger down! NEVER NEVER NEVER!!! Muwhwhahahahahahahahahahahaha

{{ Ok, I will try this here but someone probably won't like it. Whether I put a PFS build request thread in Advice or PFS Discussion forums, someone always says it should be in the other. But we'll see what happens. }}

I want to make a summoner since I've not had the opportunity in our home game. I like the master summoner concept better, but it's not allowed in PFS. I believe the only archtype for summoner that is PFS legal is the Evolutionist. Since I don't know the summoner that well, I will probably screw up the eidolon build a bunch. So the Evolutionist seems like a good choice. Plus the things given up seem pretty minor to me (I could be wrong about that though, let me know if you disagree.)

The only 2 times I've been at a table with a summoner it was level 1 and 2. The summoners really didn't do very well. I know there is often expressed concern that the summoners 'take over' and marginalize everyone else at the table. I certainly don't want to contribute to that. If everyone isn't having fun, it is a failure all around. On the other hand, I also want to be able to contribute and stay allive.

So what I was thinking was this.

  • Eidolon is not an extreme damage dealer. Build it for durability and movement. Then it can be my mount and body guard. If needed, it can be a meat shield or secondary melee if the party is low on that.
  • PC has a familiar from arcane eldritch heritage used primarily for scouting.
  • PC has mostly buff spells then uses missile fire (maybe just acid splash if I suck with the mf) after 1 or at most 2 buff spells. Since summoners don't get very many spells each day, I have to be careful and save them.
  • If the carp really hits the fan, he dismisses the eidolon and starts using massed summon monster spells.
  • Decent intelligence and charisma (doesn't need to be stellar since not using spells offensively) should allow me to have pretty good social skills to contribute to out of combat situations.

First pass at a build is:
Human or Tiefling
Alternate...

Another option. Do build him to fight and give him a persona that's all you and role play him as the character and the summoner as the companion. Build your summoner with max con (20 start) and take vanish.

Now sit in the corner and forget about the summoner until it's time for one of three things, replenish vanish, transfer hps to the Eidolon via life link, tap yourself with an infernal healing wand.

Eidolon: I am Voltran the Merciless and I shall have you as my next meal! Bow down mortal and except the fate which is due all your kind.

You will be so unique in your community they actually look forward to your summon...er Eidolon showing up:)

P.S. Have your Eidolon boss your summoner around generally treat him as the eidolon's slave.

Can I get a Paizo ruling for the following:

The Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play states: Items must be purchased at full value. You can't buy broken weapons or armor; you can't buy partially charged wands, rods, or staves; and you must buy ammunition in full lots (typically 10 or 20 for mundane ammunition and 50 for
magical ammunition).
Furthermore, Table 5-4: Generic Prestige Awards states: Once per session, you can acquire any single item of this cost or less from your faction by spending the appropriate number of Prestige Points. Items purchased this way are worth 0 gp and cannot be sold.

So, can you buy ammunition meeting the requirements in paragraph 1 (lots of 10 or 20 mundane and 50 for magical) with prestige points once per session as stated in paragraph 2?

I think he pretty clearly spelled out that the intent was that the vestigial arms were not intended to be useful for making attacks of any sort.

Neither is an eidolons 'extra' arms.....oh, until you point-buy/add claws to those arms...So what if your born with hands already have claws due to racial trait (Tiefling/Tengu) and you add claws to the second pair of arms (if you get two) from a Ranger's Aspect of the Beast?

Now you have four PRIMARY natural attacks. My understanding of a full attack round with all/only natural weapons allows you an attack with all you possess.
