SPECIAL ABILITIES

No Racial Subtype You have chosen no racial subtype.

Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.

Bonus Feats At 1st level, and at every even level thereafter, a fighter gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement (meaning that the fighter gains a feat at every level). These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats, sometimes also called "fighter bonus feats." Upon reaching 4th level, and every four levels thereafter (8th, 12th, and so on), a fighter can choose to learn a new bonus feat in place of a bonus feat he has already learned. In effect, the fighter loses the bonus feat in exchange for the new one. The old feat cannot be one that was used as a prerequisite for another feat, prestige class, or other ability. A fighter can only change one feat at any given level and must choose whether or not to swap the feat at the time he gains a new bonus feat for the level.

Dirty Fighter You wouldn't have lived to make it out of childhood without the aid of a sibling, friend, or companion on whom you could always count to distract your enemies long enough to do a little bit more damage than normal. When you hit a foe you are flanking, you deal an additional 1 point of damage (this damage is added to your base damage, and is multiplied on a critical hit). This additional damage is a trait bonus.

Militia Veteran (any town or village) (Profession (Soldier)) Your first job was serving in a civilian militia in your home town. Skills learned through daily drilling and protecting your fellow townsfolk gave you special insight into military life. Select one of the following skills - Profession (Soldier), Ride, or Survival. You gain a +1 trait bonus on that skill, and it is always a class skill for you.

Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at 1st level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

background:
Born to nobles, Edward was constantly surrounded by guards, knights, and other fighters in their shiny armor. This is what had attracted him to becoming a sword for hire. Oddly enough, his mentor was Jareth Hardstone. An old dwarven knight who had come into the service of his family. The two of them would train constantly, so much in fact that Eddy soon took to him not only as his mentor, but as a second father. One night soldiers from an opposing family had broken into their home and his parents and Jareth were slain. Eddy, who was forced into a secret hiding chamber was left as the only survivor. He took up his masters Flail, and his own sword and armor, and proceeded to find those that had killed his family, not just for justice... but vengeance.
