ICv2 now has an article up about 'The Box'.
Patrick Curtin wrote: Boo. I missed the timeframe :( We will probably do another Friday Freebie some time in the near future.
*hint hint*
*wink wink*
*nudge nudge*
Blackdirge wrote: there are literally dozens more where that came from. And, who knows... one of two of those may find their way up on Loot on some fateful future Friday.
yoda8myhead wrote: How long after subscribing should one expect to wait before getting the download link? You should have gotten the link immediately - in your welcome email.
Check your SPAM filter?
Blair Tosh wrote: For some reason when I click on the link in my email the download site gives me this message: "Sorry, this file has expired and cannot be downloaded." We broke the download service, but there's a new download link set up - and sent out to subscribers. Sorry for the delay. :)
It's a pleasure to offer these to people. I should note that you actually can't buy them anywhere... They're only available on Loot, and only for a day.
Super Genius Games makes some of the best Pathfinder-compatible products. Last year, as you probably know, they compiled a number of their best-selling Genius Guides into a print book:
Adventurer’s Handbook: Genius Guide Vol.1 (PZO Store Link)
Well... If you have been thinking about picking up a copy, today's the day.
*** Today only, it's on sale at 50% OFF on Loot (Only $9.99). ***
Check it out.

If you're a gamer in Ireland... Sound off! I want to see those hands go up!
Why? I'm thinking about going to a convention in Ireland and want to know that there's someone on the other side of the pond to roll dice with.
And... Which con would you suggest?
I'm sorry, but... I love you, Lilith!
BGG Con is all Board Games, run my BoardGameGeek. They've recently launched RPG Geek, so maybe they'll be bringing RPGs to BGG Con, or making an RPGG Con in the future?
In Texas, there's also OwlCon, which I hope to get to some day.
First stop, Sin City. Next... The moon, Alice! Or Disney Land?
I'm so confused.
Where would you like to see the next Iron GM Regional Semifinal?
Zombieneighbours wrote: I take it that Iron GM only runs in the states :( If it ran over here in blightie I would love to give it a go. I spoke with a convention in Ireland and one in Puerto Rico about holding Iron GM Regional Semifinals. Neither conversation has gone very far... yet.
We're more (in bold and capital letters, with animated GIFs all around) than willing to bring Iron GM international. In fact, it's part of the evil master plan - to celebrate awesome gaming everywhere.
I think Rone has a list of all 248 countries and we plan to go to every... single... one.
After we blow the doors of the Tropicana at Iron GM | NeonCon, of course.
Genova wrote: I was just wondering if its a good website to join up at? It appears to be down / closed. No idea why.
Rone and I had our first post-Gen Con interview today. New episode coming... soooooooooon.
Kajehase wrote: The Jade wrote: Kajehase, I don't really hate tea. It was just a bit. ;) And I don't really think you're a fleabag (that was also only a bit) but maybe I should, seeing as you didn't deny that part? ;) The ENnies were a treat. I've never been, and I underestimated how nice it would be to see so many industry people rooting for each other.
The star? Sarah Something-or-Another...
Obey the Slaw!
Pathfinder!
Pathfinder!
Pathfinder!
Thanks, Lisa.
Ed Healy wrote: If you don't have your books by then, or I don't have word from the publisher that they are in the mail, I'll personally buy them and get them to you. And no, Craig, that doesn't mean I'm coming to Oz! :)
flash_cxxi wrote: Don't worry Shiny, you're not the only one who didn't get stuff they won. I don't blame Rone & Ed, but the Companies they plug shouldn't say they'll give prize support if they never intend on carrying through with it. A couple weeks ago (last month), I sent emails to everyone who has won a free game from Atomic Array, to make sure they got what wuz a comin' to dem. Anyone who said "No" went on a list.
Based off that ther list, I contacted the publishers to make sure the products went out in the mail. A couple are still unaccounted for.
So... If you still don't have your product by 15 June, please email us at moonstew@gmail.com to make sure we keep pressure on this. If you don't have your books by then, or I don't have word from the publisher that they are in the mail, I'll personally buy them and get them to you.
Rone's just being kind. If you had an unedited version, you'd hear how bad my jokes are and would lose all respect - if you have any, that is - for me.
Ryan. Costello wrote: Rone, I have been accused of having a strange and even dark sense of humour. Nothing I have ever said, done, or laughed at holds a candle to five Rudolf spankings. Thank you not just for having me on the show but for having me on this show. If only we could put all the out takes on air, right Ryan? :)
No Clinton J. Boomer as GM? :(
S'cool. I'll love seeing Mr. Baker in the house.
flash_cxxi wrote: Awww... we love you too Rone & Ed. :D xxooxx
PVP for Pathfinder excited me so much, I knew we had to have Mark on the Array. We released the show today.
Conflict Roleplaying (Atomic Array 042)
Most RPGs involve groups of players pitted against a challenge orchestrated by a GM, but there are times when that guy on the other side of the game table… man, you just want to slap the overconfident grin off his stupid mug. If you want player vs player competition—if you’re looking for a chess match that pits your wits against real-world prey—you want Conflict Roleplaying. Love this book!
taig wrote: Chuck Norris is said to fear one man, and one man only. That man's name is...Rone Barton.
This is not true. Chuck Norris dare not even speak the name Rone Barton.
Mairkurion {tm} wrote: And how long has the friend actually known you...? It's impossible to truly know Mr. Barton. :)
Do any of you guys play female characters on a regular basis? Gals, do you play guys? If so, why? Just because? Or is there a more involved reason?
Oh... and... KKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAGGGGEEEMAAAAAAAAATTSSSUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

I'll be there. Will you?
Madgael wrote: You probably jinxed it by... you know... interviewing a girl. We'd never have this problem if we just stopped recording new episodes.
If knob turning ... turns you on: Anyone who would like to pay $1.99 per minute can watch Rone produce the show - live.
Urizen, Rone and I would _love_ to do a video show. _What_ to do in video, though... that's the 20 cent Q:
Urizen wrote: Ever thought about adding video to your podcats in the future? Is that even possible? Possible, but not likely. If we were going to do a video show, we'd probably want to have a new format, specifically designed for watchin'.
We do have videos we shoot at conventions, but that's not exactly a show.
... though they do 'show' stuff.
The Jade wrote: Thanks, EtC! We also released 27 RPG Countdowns and 7 or so Open Design Podcasts, not to mention the 4 AA Special Editions for Gen Con last year and then the Mutant Chronicles SE where we interviewed the director of the MC film and Matt Forbeck. That's three scoops of yackety-yak all covered with blabbidy-blab sauce! Don't forget the massive tome that is the Best of 2008... :)

Mairkurion {tm} wrote: the Cthulhutech guy was a good guest, another enjoyable show. And now I'm really in the mood to watch "The Thing." I love having Matt on the show. It's obvious that he loves his game and that isn't something you can fake. He's energetic and knows what he's talking about. Great guy...
taig wrote: I'm not sure about this, but does Ed maybe like CthulhuTech? No, CthulhuTech sucks. I just fake it because Rone doesn't like it when I make our guest cry. :)
Urizen wrote: It would be easier if I could just do a PREVIOUS and NEXT between the months or have them listed on one page and have a hot hyperlink from an index at the top to relocate me to where the episode of interested is listed down below in chronological date order. I've got a list of them all, in album art form, on the Facebook page. At some point, I should probably redesign AtomicArray.com and add in all sorts of bells and whistles.
Rone and I have talked about making a Moonstew site, where all our shows can live together, and where we can talk shop with everyone. _Doing it_, though... that's the thing I haven't had luck with.
Madgael wrote: Ed's pick from the CG episode "Rabble In Arms" is the second book in that series according to Amazon. So start with that one or whichever one is the first? You know, the author has tons of books, but you can read Rabble in Arms on its own and do fine. It's a great book and, if you like it, you can always go on to read the rest.
I'd also suggest 'Sloop of War' by Alexander Kent. Killer book.
flash_cxxi wrote: I soooooo badly want the Open Design Theme Music (amongst others) to put onto one of my Flash Mixes... Send me an email (moonstew@gmail.com) and I'll hook you up. :)

Turin the Mad wrote: Well ... 7 AM is a tad early for most stateside EVE players. :) Bah!
I'm always on the Paizo channel, but I'm often the only one (since I'm usually on at 4 AM PST)... :)
Turin the Mad wrote: Hey Ed Healy:
Did you let your subscription expire? Brau Haus is wondering - seems that they can tell your skill queue is empty...
No, I switched to a different PC. I can't remember the BH public channel, or I'd drop in. It's some sort of "Pub," I know that. Remind me?
I'm still finishing up the initial tutorials, so everything you guys are saying is 20 AU over my head. :)
Turin the Mad wrote: Welcome (back) to EVE, Vitme. Fly safe ... or explode next to the suminabiatch that pops you! ^_^ Still learning the whole 'scanning' thing.
I just started a new account, so I'm building a new character from scratch... again.
Name: Vitme
Mairkurion {tm} wrote: Ed, I second everything you say about Ghost in the Shell, with emphasis! Yeap, it's all about the question: What does it mean to be human? I'd extend your endorsement of the film to the entire franchise (films and series), although I've avoided seeing the viewer's digest versions of the series. Altogether, one of my top anime picks. It's been awhile since I watched them all, but my memory says I liked the Stand Alone Complex best. I always wondered if Blade Runner influenced the creation of GitS. I also wonder why the English title is so much better than the Japanese. I could have done an entire hour on how Ghost in the Shell influenced The Matrix, alone. It's truly a seminal work.
Crimson Jester wrote: SO you just need ideas Ed or an adventure? Is there more info on the Gangs you can give out? Just brainstorming right now about the other gang.
According to Geekdo, EVE: Conquests is out. Have any of you played it, yet?
I'm thinking about jumping back into EVE, but would rather have a crew to fly around with. Too bad the corp is dead.
What happened to Seven Swords, Ltd? Still going?
