Still looking for a Hex-Map App for Android...

If this works as I am planning you will be able to use it on your android (but will need to have a data connection enabled)

Big sky, I'd love a place on the web that represented the kingdom of the game I'm running, where players could go to see what are the current stats of the kingdom. The dream would be to have it set so that this kingdom page would be modified by either the GM or the GM and those players interested in the kingdom building aspect of the game, via a backend that handled all the rules calculations from River Run Red and Ultimate Campaign. Printable I don;t really care about if it's all avaialbel online in an easy to understand manner. Bonus for customizable art or art assets, so one could upload things like house banners, mottoes, pictures of the people in the various positions.

Player/GM View is planned - banners, mottoes, etc would be bonus but probably doable.

Regarding the map tool you are looking at building -- have you thought about Icons for the hex types, or various hex improvements? Basics are Forest, Plains, Hills, and Mountains, as well as farm, apiary, castle, road, settlement, capital, viaduct, ect. Reason I ask, is I've been working on a number of Icons for the game I run for these sorts of things. If you want to use them, let me know, happy to share!

As a fanatic civilization gamer I thought about that - sharing those icons would be great as it would take some workload off me.

I'm hoping to show off a little preview by the end of next week.

Curious, is it possible to make the hexploration/map uncovering so that one could upload one's own map?

That is exactly what I have planed.

As far as initiative tracker- I use a custom page by encounter that has numbers form 30 to 1 where I jot everyone's initiative and the baddies. It also has some simple stat blocks for the baddies; hp, ac, saves, cmb/cmd, attack info, and notes. Could something like that be incorporated?

Surely, but hexploration and kingdom management have priority.

The suggestion of making the kingdom tracking available online is a wonderful idea. I know folks are working on a new spreadsheet with the updated rules from ultimate campaign - is there any way to marry this idea with that?

What is it you want? A printable output?

Please make sure that whatever you do, it abides by our Community Use Policy (and, if you're using game mechanics, the OGL).

Yes, of course. This will probably result in publishing the app without any datasets included. You guys will need to insert your own data.

I would pay you money for this.

No need to :D I'm mainly doing this for my self - I just thought there might be people who would like this too.

If you're creating a random encounter helper, you might also want to build

a full initiative tracker keyed to those encounters...?
(I've looked for initiative trackers on the net & google apps, but IMO they
all suck at what I want them to do...) :(

It would be helpful if you could explain this more to me. I never tried to use one of these and therefore don't know there capabilities.

What is it you want? Just a small thing where you can add and remove initiative values assigned to a name (in an ordered list)? Or is there more to it?

From my point of view, I think the most helpful for me would be the Kingdom
bookkeeping aspect, with the others marginally less helpful.

Well, the Hexploration aspect is my highest priority currently since I'll start a fresh kingmaker campaign next weekend. But I'll think that this is one of the easier modules to implement so it wound take that much thime.

Hey there,

I just started developing a web-app for my upcoming Kingmaker campaign, to be used from my tablet.

I have nothing to show off yet but I thought some of you might be interested in this.

Planned Features:
-Hexploration (blacked out map for the players to choose their path turning into the full map)
-Random Encounter and Hex Descriptions (let those to automatically be generated)
-Kingdom Bookkeeping (Ultimate Campaign [+ Ultimate Rulership (probably)])
-more not yet thought of

If you have any ideas of features you would like to see please feel free to tell me.

I'll keep you updated,
Eadric

I would say all X-Bows are made out of wood.
I never saw a metal crossbow anywhere (exept those skeleton x-bows http://www.kaswords.com/images/products/display/Hunting_Recurve_120LBS_Outd oor_Crossbow.jpg).
Even balistas (which are very heavy crossbows) are made from wood.

A 7th level sorcerer gets a 7th level familiar period. [...]

what I have said is Arcane Bond does NOT stack with itself in regards to getting 2 familiars, nor does it stack with itself from "the same class" to make a mega Sorcerer familiar.

I have said it stacks per the normal rules for taking multiple classes that have the same feature to determine your overall familiars effective level, as defined in the write up for Arcane Bond.
[...]

So on the one hand you argue that this feature comes from the "same class" and on the other hand you want to tell me that it is as taking "multiple classes"?

Don't get me wrong - neither believe I that it is right to get two familiars nor do I believe that a mega-familiar could be right.
But the way you try to state this by the rules is dubious as best.

Hello,

I'm currently building a sorcerer with the serpentine bloodline.
I thought of taking the tattooed sorcerer archetype.

Now if don't know how to handle the fact I'm getting two familiars:

1st Level (through archetype):
Familiar Tattoo (Su) - [...]as a wizard equal to her sorcerer level[...]

3rd Level (through bloodline):
Serpentfriend (Ex): [...]and you gain a viper familiar using your sorcerer level –2 as your effective wizard level.

How to handle that?

If those abilities were gained through different classes I understand they would stack - but as they are from the same class this would mean a lvl4 familiar at lvl3 (and a lvl38 familiar at lvl20) Don't think this could be right...

Neither do I think I would get two familiars (or do I?)...

Any new progress on the app?
