I have a situation where an encounter has my gnome alchemist at a bridge threatened by Sahuagin in a rive the bridge spans. If I throw a fire bomb at the Sahuagin how will they be effected. The water would cancel out the fire damage by my thinking, but my DM thinks there would be concessionary damage. Anyone have any feedback on how this could be ruled? I'm not finding much to govern this.

While the rules for Bardic Performance specify "A bardic performance cannot be disrupted, but it ends immediately if the bard is killed, paralyzed, stunned, knocked unconscious, or otherwise prevented from taking a free action to maintain it each round." I'm curious if he's also able to cast a spell while singing that requires a verbal spell component. Would the verbal component to casting a spell disrupt the BP if he's singing?

Is there any way to make this board slightly better by allowing anyone who replies to a thread the ability to subscribe to that thread, whether automatically through profile options or through the post composing/edit window?

I lose track of so many posts because I have no way of knowing when people reply to threads I've posted in, or just want to track out of interest, and eventually forget about them. I have to go to my profile and click "view recent posts". Sure there's the focus link, which I'm only recently aware of that is nearly invisible, but that still doesn't let me know when a new reply has been made to a thread I've replied to.

This board is hard enough to navigate as is, and I know there's not much that can be done about that, but at least knowing when a thread you've replied to has had a new reply would help that much more as it would have a link back to that thread.

I've been looking at the experience chart; slow, medium, fast. Is there a formula to this? How does someone calculate for 21st level in each group? Has this been discussed before and I'm just not finding it in my searches?

I'm reading through the Beta Playtest softcover and I love what has been done. I'm wondering though of two classes.

Will the Barbarian have totems again or is that what the Rage Powers replace?

Some Bloodlines for the Sorcerer come from beings of long life. Does this long life confer to the Sorcerer at all? Maybe, "Your grandfather's grandfather was the son of Mariam Baspartis who claimed the father was a dragon seducer in human form." Dragons have long life. Couldn't a trace of that trickle down the bloodline. "Because of this, you will age more slowly than other humans and possibly live for hundreds of years. It's hard to say since no documentation of such offspring exists." It could be the a bloodline like draconic or celestial or undead add 50%, 100%, 200% to this character's lifetime.

Just thinking out loud.
