About Dulcinea de la Mancha

Brief Background:
Aldonza was left on the side of the road to die by a mother that didn't want her. As an ethnic Varisian growing up in rural Taldor, she scraped-by an existence of constant desperation at a local inn, fighting off the grabbing hands of Taldan Phalanx members. She may have stayed there until the day she died if not for the interjection of the strange figure of a Taldan "knight" and his squire. This elderly Taldan functionary, driven by tales of the chivalry, brought her untold pain, but he also was the first person in her life to ever treat her as more than nothing. As the knight passed on, Aldonza took up the name that he had given her and his "impossible dream" as her own.
