About Drett

Physical description:
Drett is a strongly built man in his late twenties. Towering at 6 feet 3 inches, his frame is large and everything is oversized in him. From his strong legs up to his powerful arms (and we won't make any comment about anything that can be found in between), even his abundant beard and his broad smile seem too big for his face.

His hair and eyes are dark. His face is tanned as are his arms up to the elbows, but the rest of the body is pale (well, almost all the rest of the body, but, again, no comment please): he looks like someone that lived mainly outdoor and was used to wearing thick clothes.

His torso and left shoulder show some scars (from weapon or animal it's hard to say). One of his front teeth is missing and his nose has been broken. He could be the kind of guy that appreciate a good brawl. No tattoo on his body. His ears have been pierced but no ring can be seen.

Demeanor:

The expression wrinkles on his face show that he is more prone to laugh than anger. He watch the world around him with amazed and almost childlike eyes. Don't be misled : he is not retarded. That's just that he seems able to see wonders in even the simplest things.

His voice is a low baritone but you will more often hear it laugh than talk. He takes time to think before speaking, then speaks slowly and keeps using simple words and short sentences. Unless many peoples, he speaks only when he has something to say.

Story so far:

Drett wakes up on a beach, without much memories of what happened. The beach is littered by dead human (and humanoid) bodies.

There are 4 others people alive:


  • Aliwah a cute Gevet,
  • Lionel Dauphin a charming lad (and Mint a strange blue wolf somehow tied to Lionel),
  • Aphrodite a beautiful young woman
  • and Emil Torquemada an upset man.

Vladimir, a former fisherman, and his 2 sons Dmitri and Mickael help them and carry them to their small and poor cabin.

They learn that they are in Ferringrad prefecture near Stragonuv village. There are a Magistrate and a Sheriff (Aggripa Ivanson) in the village.

Vladimir says some things are regularly washing up from Ablis not all dead". Some of them killed his wife.

Drett has some memories (or dreams or visions) of being thrown off board by clawed hands while strapped in a strange substance that dissolved in the sea.

The sheriff comes to see them in the morning and bring them back to the beach where villagers are burning the bodies after a priest in crimson and white has told a little sermon.

After a week, the castaways are healed and ready to go to the village in search for a work to get some money.

In the church they meet Alexia, a young girl that invite them to go hunting crabs and watch LAAARGE turtles the following night.
They learn that the village name used to be Faishensgard "before the fish went away".

Lionel meets Olvensky, the owner of the town only shop. He is an old man quick to use his firearm and that don't seem happy to have a customer.

The 3 others meet the priest who is also the blacksmith. He told them that some veterans like Ruskavaya (who is he? )still have their weapons.
When asked for possible work available around, he tell them that Lady Slavinka could need some help and that the villagers don't want to work for her because she could be a witch at least that's what the sheriff thinks (the sheriff was an inquisitor before coming to this village).
