I have replied to your reply.

Lyn, I'm sending an email.

Really? So far the only combo that made people afraid was Lysander's Soul Knife/Inquisitor combo. I wasn't even trying on the others.

What are the relations between the different human races? Is it similar to tieflings and aasimars, who can be born to normal humans? If so, could one type be born to another, like a Cinder being the child of Noctals?

How do those bloodlines interact with Sorcerer Bloodlines?

You're just afraid of my combos! ;)

I can play a kid who uses sarcasm and jokes as a defense mechanism against his fear?

Now I'm definitely in, even if I don't use that idea.

I'm going to post this here so I don't give out ideas to a lot of people.

If this game is gestalt, I have two builds that will be very annoying.

Cleric/Oracle(maybe 2 paladin levels)
Domains: Healing and Protection
Mystery: Life

or

Bard/Master Summoner

Gotta dot it.

Especially if it is the result of an item that has that particular aura hidden via magic aura.

Fear my ideas, for I help my GMs create monsters. Like the original Dweomercat for instance. CR 13~15 I think.

Take a look at the Heal skill. Yeah, I maxed that one out too.

Bestow Curse: There is a 50% chance that you are treated as Undead when effected by positive energy.

That help?

I had a Life Oracle in Council of Thieves that I said, at the end of the game, was pursuing lichdom as a way to reach the next "level of life." She was a doctor-type with the wasting curse. Quite fun to play. I'd recreate her for that game.

Both balance and justice seem to fit then.

I would say yes to balance, but no to justice(unless it determines where you go in the afterlife).

My reasoning for balance comes from an old Greek myth, the one where Hades kidnaps his bride. He eventually agrees to let her leave his realm for six months out of the year.

The reason? Her mother, a nature goddess, was not letting any plants grow as long as her daughter was imprisoned(this is the reason for autumn and winter). It was explained to Hades that, if he didn't let her out, everything would die. This seemed like a good thing until it was further explained that his realm would stop growing after that.

In order for death to hold power, life must hold equal power.

Yeah. Got weird block scheduling, so I should be able to take it tomorrow. Or today even, since my last period is a freebie, I think.

Finals, finals everywhere, and I missed yesterdays. :\

Now, interestingly enough, Michael might be able to stand against Champion-based powers... as long as he grabs a Champion's immunity to other Champion's powers.

I may have accidentally created something far stronger than I originally hoped for. Things may have gone horribly, horribly right.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. :)

Careful, he'll copy that Wail of the Banshee. After that, Madness will be trying to get his claws in him again.

Sounds perfect for this game.

Just keep Michael away from it. He's stated out as level 8, with his Copycat ability evening the playing field a bit.

Apparently, it's supposed to be a really tough CR 14 creature. Reading the blog reveals that 14th level is when a group would face it in the Tomb of Horros, so that's were it got placed.

It's optional unless there are certain school events.

Yeah, but the look on Vakkler's face will be worth is. :)

Good luck! Sounds like a hilarious character. :)

Forgot to reply to this.

I imagine he makes the little airplane diving sounds when he throws his bombs. It's hilarious to me!

The breath weapon bomb discovery is going to be a must, of course... >.>

See, now I don't know if you're saying this because you mean it, or to make sure you get your Slurk Hosts. ;P

Hm, seems my last post here got eaten. Anyway....

Mrdarknlight, the answer is yes, they all seem about equal in power.

Also, wish me luck people! I'm trying to get my pseudodragon alchemist into a pbp again!

The very first post in the game thread that has the school as "unassuming".

Mr:
Maybe add greatclub or remove Greatsword then, or change the +1 to one of the racial weapons. That's just an opinion of course.

It's their Immunities and their love of making things that makes them seem anti-magic to me.

See, that makes more sense. Maybe changing the name is a good idea?

First, Lyn wrote that, not me. Seconded, Ryo can make the school look however he wants.

*puts DM hat on for Race review*

Mrdarknlight:
Avari: Other than the proficiency with the Greatsword kinda pushing for them to take a +1 with slashing weapons, they seem okay.

Ferrian: These seem like a "doesn't like magic" race, which makes Earth Singer seem out of place for me. Fine other than that.

Liganin: Nothing stands out as too much, except maybe the fact Greater Defensive Training seems to be always on. Usually, training like that is against a specific type or subtype. Maybe giving them the Dodge feat for free?

lynora wrote:
Avalon: You don't have to be crazy to play here. We'll take care of that soon enough. ;P

This is said often enough that it needs to be in the campaign info! XD

Right after I downloaded it too!

The Host is going to make it to the slurks soon, Edgar, don't worry.

Haven't seen the Growler yet, but I have a feeling I'll like it.

You could be slowly turning into a Vrolikai Half-Fiend and can't control all your new power.

Got it, will look through them later and get back to you.

Yeah.

I don't, but my email is in my profile, and I've got about 15 minutes if that will work.

Mrdarknlight wrote:

Anyway anyone bored and want to help me balance my homebrew races? I am currently on the third draft for the first three......

For note writing your own world is tough.

It took four people to make just the rough draft of Agartha, so I already knew that. ;)

Go ahead and send me races, I'll help. A bit of background on the game(any you would give the players since I think this is the game I was wanting to be in) will be helpful too.

Why not? Weren't you just worried about birth control? I'm helping. :)
That is not helping! We want kids someday. Just not now....and I do not want to hear the words 'fix' and 'vet' used in reference to my mate again. *glares*

But we could freeze "samples" first! Then everything would be alright!

Ormarr can fix that. He's a vet.

In case anyone was wondering, the background info is in the Campaign Info tab.

A lot of things actually, but the teachers getting into a fight with the parents specifically.

Lol, I just imagine all of them in detention. XD

I'd love to see Vakkler's reaction to it. Anyone know where went off too?

Mrdarknlight wrote:
No just do not like Lovecraft stuff. Well other than Cthulhu but that was because of the South Park episode.

Well, here's some food for thought. One of the Doomsday theories has the world endind December 22, 2012. Chthulu can rise on a Solstice. December 21 is the Winter Solstice.

It will take one day for Chthulu to get his army together.

*sprouts mindflayer-esque tentacles*

What the the matter, Mrdarknlight, don't like the music?

So I managed to track down the Champion of Madness*, and got a few holiday songs out of it. Enjoy.

The Carol of the Old Ones.
Blue Solstice
The Great Old Ones are Coming to Town
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Fish-Men

*I actually didn't. Or did I? >.>

Well, this is a fairly strange game, for the following reasons.

1. We are a rules light/rule of cool game that focuses more on roleplay.
2. Eventually, if they wish it, everyone will get a chance to DM a plot or story arc. Sometimes even when others are in progress too.
3. You don't have to have your character statted up, and you can have weird powers or abilities that there aren't rules for(within reason, of course).

Actually, I think that's it. :)

Since this is a school based play-by-post, equipment isn't needed, but your character can have special gear if it fits their backstory(not needed, but helpful for everyone to get a feel for the character).

If I've missed something, Lyn should be along shortly to say what it is.

Looks like a good place for my Summoning Chants! :D

Summon Monster I:
Summon Monster I

Dire Rat
Carrier of plague. Thief of hen eggs
A worm like tail, you steal without fail
Wingless bat or prey of cat
I call you!

Dolphin
A flash from water salty and mild
You are like a playful child
Powerful and slick, swimming so quick
I ask your aid!

Eagle
Powerful ruler of the Skies
I ask you now to heed my cries
Slash with talons and rip with beak
Grant me the help I seek!

Fire Beetle
Protected by a chitinous shell
Your bite burns like the fire of hell
Your glossy eyes show your need
Go, now, it's time to feed!

Poisonous Frog
So colorful, so deadly
You boast a known melody
Come to my side in just a breath
The touch of your skin signals death!

Pony
Swift to kick
Running so quick
I mean you no harm
Calling you from your farm

Riding Dog
A man's best friend
Your loyalty will not bend!
Here boy(or girl)!

or

*piercing whistle*

Viper
Back and forth you slither
Now I ask that you come hither
With fang and venom and scale
Strike now and make them wail!

Summon Monster II:
Ant, Drone
Six legs, two eyes, and mandibles fierce
Gaze now upon the people so mean
Their armor you shall pierce
Kill them now, make proud the Queen!

Fire Elemental, Small
The feeling of love, embarrassment, and pain
I call you forth
The beauty of the sun, the shine of rubies, the warmth of security
I ask your aid
Let the unrighteous burn!

Giant Spider
Rhymes say you have a parlor
With magic I weaved your collar
Poison for enemies and their ilk
Delivered by your woven silk
Devour them!

Horse
I ask you now to leave your valley
Trample all that are in your way
Before they rally
Gallop into the fray!

Wolf
They cry in the distance
Their yellow eyes shine amidst the pines
Back and forth they prance
I call them for the Hunting Dance...

Too bad I haven't completed SM II, or even the other lists. :|

Just drank cocoa/liquified Hersheys Dark Chocolate.

Four words: Nectar of the Heavens

No problem! It's been as fun as always.

See, now I feel like I haven't sent you an email for a long time, even though I sent you one about trying to beat the Corrupter.

Heh, at least I can help. Cause if I tried to draw you would get stick figures, and trust, you'd be able to figure out what they were easier. I've forgotten my drawing lessons, and I was the best when I remembered them.
