Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Well we will just have to wait until next week to see what changes they will make to the kineticist or at least the ones they will tell us anyway.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Distant worlds- planet hopping through portals, space travel, or both. As long as one of the AP volumes is on Castrovel I will be happy. Final boss should be a cosmic being or aberrant alien creature.

Land of the Linnorm Kings- final boss is a (possibly unique) linnorm, in fact make the villain a human or dwarf who transforms into the linnorm boss.

Vudra- some psychic magic goodness combined with Hindu flavored myth. final boss should be a Azura, Rakshasa, or psychic being/creature.

Tian Xia- the whole AP taking place in Tian Xia from beginning to end. The final boss being a unique oni, imperial dragon, insane Kami...or maybe a Kaiju.

Arcadia- Sandbox style adventure focusing on exploration and learning about this land. final boss based on wich side you are on, your country or the inhabitants of the new world.

First World- AP focused on fey, the first world, and gnomes. Final boss would be a unique fey.

Gurand- sandbox treasure hunting AP focusing on African myth, catfolk, amazon woman, lizardfolk, etc.

No second playtest makes me a sad panda:(

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

They have had like 5 years worth of playtests so I think we are fine.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

No Dragons, No giants, no dinosaurs, then why bother with a bestiary at all.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Were going to need more types of good outsiders and other good aligned creatures if were going to get that "Evil AP" that a lot of people been asking for;) Besides just because there good doesn't mean they will not kill you since most adventurers spend there time breaking into places, killing everyone/thing there and taking there/it's stuff;)

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Well if they make the blasts a supernatural ability then we wouldn't have to worry about SR and in my case concentration checks/attacks of opportunity.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

There are more demons then all the celestials combined, that is not including the rest of the evil outsiders. But the real outsider groups that are shafted are the CN and LN ones.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Vrykolakas could use a reprint in B5 with better artwork. In fact there are so many creatures from older APs that need some love.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I agree with everything you just said Heladriell.

This class(and most the others) really needs a second playtest. So many things I would like this class to able to do and yet it can't even make a good Carrie or even come close to Tetsuo from the movie Akira:(

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

They would have to give us new agathions to get the poodle version, if anything we would have poodle demons long before we got any new agathions.

They will never create towel dragons or backyard giants though towel giants and backyard dragons sound interesting:)

If there is one thing I am sick of, it is demons, we already have 50+ of there guys but only 4 proteans, 10 or less of each type of celestials, several inevitables, a handful of azura, etc.

Aether is another name for ether or quintessence, was thought to be what fills the outer part of the terrestrial sphere or what heaven was made of. Also thought of as the fifth element or what the gods breathed like mortals breathing air.

Nice sketch, can't wait to it in color though.

It is a shame that there will not be a 2nd round of the playtest:(

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Wow, 2456 unique requests, just think how many there will be when B5 does come out.

I would like each element starting with 3 offensive abilities.

Aether
-Telekinetic blast
-Force blast- 1d4+con mod +1d4 per 2 levels, damage- force, DR no, SR yes, touch attack.
-Telekinesis- as spell.

Air
-Wind blast
-Electric blast
-Cloud Blast- create obscuring mist/fog cloud effect in a 30' cone that you can in, SR none, last for 1 minute/level or until you create a new one.

Earth
Earth Blast
Acid Blast
Crystal/stone growth- create crystals/stones that act as tacks and create difficult terrain in a 20' radius burst, that doesn't effect you.

Fire
fire blast
Light blast- blind one target, touch attack, SR yes, save fort or ref or do damage to undead and shadow creatures.
Smoke blast- create 30' cone of choking smoke, staggered, save fort, SR no.

Water
-Water blast
-Ice blast
-Steam blast- 1d6+con fire damage + 1d6 per 2 levels, DR no, SR yes, touch attack.

No psychic healing:(

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Great episode, I really loved the part at the end with Whitehall, Ward, the Mad Doctor.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

You are correct Milo v3, we have stats for 4 kaiju so far: Agmazar, Agyra, Bezravnis, and Mogaru.

Also the Julunggali(B4 page 164) is the rainbow serpent.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I wish the villain was his brother, that would have been interesting. Though having the scientist's daughter(or some other family member) as the villain disguised as a guy would have been cool as well.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I like the movie though it is no Frozen or Wreck It Ralph. But to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be. I do hope it does well at the Box office.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I do hope that the side characters will get more character development if they do a sequel.

How about if force ward works like a robots force field were it protects you from crits/precision damage but lasers can pass through it normally.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Ever since the oracle came out I wish the sorcerer worked like that one were you had a choice of seven out of ten powers and that you could gain all of them with feats. I also wish that sorcerers had 4+int skills points and that there bloodlines granted them multiple class skills like oracle mysteries do.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Has anyone else seen this one? I saw it last weekend and it was great.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I still think it would be cool if they gained there bloodline spells a couple levels earlier. For example a 1st level draconic bloodline sorcerer would get mage armor and at 3rd level would gain resist energy 1/day, at 5th level he would gain fly 1/day, etc..

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Interesting alternate version of feel the burn though I would grant force resistance instead of sonic for aether.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I think it would be cool to introduce in the series before the movie.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I really hope there is a powerful spirit inside that giant tree.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Arhetypes

A sorcerer bloodline archetype would be awesome. You would gain the 1st, 3rd, 9th, 15th, and 20th level sorcerer bloodline powers. Maybe some bloodline feats as well. Maybe gain the sorcerer's bloodline spells as spell like abilities ether 1/day, or by using burn, or both. All abilities(hit, damage, DCs) based on Cha except burn still based on Con.

A archetype that uses a rage mechanic but increases Dex and Con, hit, damage, range, etc. with kinetic abilities. But instead of fatigue could also get effected by other effects like confusion or sickened.

An archetype that uses Int for hit, damage, DC's and maybe even burn. Maybe it can use psychic magic items as if it had them on there spell list like wands, scrolls, and staffs.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

A weaker freshwater version of sea serpents would be interesting.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Why not make it were you recover 1 HP of burn damage per 10 minutes or hour so you can get more use out of it between combats.

I wouldn't mind seeing aether getting DR like a barbarian built into the class if not force resistance.

I think the physical blast could use an enhancement bonus. Starting at 4th for +1 and increasing by +1 for every 4 levels maxing out at +5 for level 20.

Kinetic fist and kinetic blade should be built into the class at no cost unless you are getting more then one attack per round.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Why not give physical blasts a built in enhancement bonus. At 4th level it would be +1 and increase every 4 levels maxing out at +5 at level 20.

I agree the kinetic fist and kinetic blade should be built into the class and should only cost burn if your doing more then one attack in a round.

Ogopogo is described as a see serpent or serpent like whale such as Basilosaurus. It got it's name from a 1924 English music hall called "Ogo-Pogo: The Funny Fox-Trot". The creature was originally called Naikaka by the native American Okanakane tribe.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Does anyone remember the energy form ability the life oracle gets were you gain the elemental subtype with all it's immunities. That would be a good start on how kinetic form could work.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

You can gain back grit/panache just by killing an enemy or scoring a crit. But you can't get the HP damage from burn back except by rest.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I like the idea of gaining fast healing after being exposed to your element. Like gaining fast healing when standing on solid ground(earth), in a strong wind or outdoors(air), etc. Though absorbing your energy type as healing would be cool as well.

I agree, the ability to deflect/reflect your energy type would be awesome. It would be cool to redirect magic missiles back at the caster if you were an aether kineticist.

I agree with adding light, darkness, wood/plant, time, blood, and poison to the mix.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

A drawback that can't be mitigated, why start now after 30+ classes.

We would all love some badass scaling telekinesis Tiny Coffee Golem;)

Some telekinetic flight and levitation would be nice as well.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

A pool of points can be just as cinematic as taking HP damage to do stuff, it just depends on how you role play them. What they could do for over using your powers is effect you with status effects like confusion, fatigue, rage, staggered, sickened, etc.

The only class resource that makes me not want to use it is grit/panache since so many cool abilities rely on her having at least one point at all times. But I have no problem in using all other point systems.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

The ability of fire kineticist to quench flames as the spell of the same name at will. Also controlling the intensity, size, and direction of flames. Maybe even moving flames to different locations by square count.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I really dislike the burn mechanic. I have never seen a class ability that makes me not want to use it. I mean using HP, your most valuable resource, to do tricks that other classes can do with spells, panache/grit, rage, bardic music, ki, etc. just doesn't make sense to me. It also doesn't make sense to play a blaster with more HP then martial classes but ends up being more fragile then a wizard.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I hope we do get a new creature with the giant subtype each AP volume. I would love some new types of ogres, trolls, gigas, and giants from myth. I would love to see the Fir Bolg, though I could see them as fey that look like giant Celtic people.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I think each element should start with two offensive abilities.

Aether- force blast(1d4s) or telekinesis(why take 4+ wild talents for something you should already have)

Air- already has a physical and energy blast.

Earth- should get an acid blast.

Fire- well I can't think of a physical blast but could get a choking smoke blast or blinding light blast.

Water- already has both a physical and energy blast.

All elements should start with an ability to make there blast a cone or line effect at level 1. The range would be like 15' cone or 30' line at level one and increase with level.

Also the blast's range should start at 30' but increase based on level and max out at 120' before being altered by wild talents.

I think you should get an ability that grants you energy resistance, and maybe immunity, to your element. As for Aether force resistance would be interesting.

The class could use a built in AC boost such as dodge or natural armor.

An ability for all energy blasts to bypass energy resistance maybe half damage to immunity as well.

An ability for all energy blast to ignore SR.

An ability that allows you to use your blast without provoking or needing to make a concentration check.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Give them a small selection of cantrips as spell like abilities that fit there theme.

Aether- mage hand, open/close, resistance, stabilize
Air- ghost sound, guidance, message, open/close
Earth- detect poison, know direction, mending, resistance
Fire- flare, dancing lights, light, spark
Water- create water, detect poison, purify food/drink, stabilize

The Juggler

spoiler:

weapon prof. simple and all thrown martial weapons, no shields.

Fast Reactions- deflect arrows 1st and snatch arrows at 5th as bonus feats, extra uses with these feats at higher levels. replaces bardic knowledge and lore master.

Combat Juggling- can juggle 3 or more weapons or items in his hands, doesn't grant extra attacks but can attack with different weapons as a full attack action and other advantages. replaces versatile performance.

Evasion- replaces well versed.

Improved Evasion- replaces soothing performance.

I also found it strange there was a level requirement for the extra wild talent feat. There is no such requirement for the other "extra class feature" feats except maybe what level that ability becomes available to the class.

That sounds cool about the Dominion of the Black.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

What are the new monsters?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Also I would like to add the restoration spells( lesser, standard, greater) and maybe regeneration to there spell list.
