Do you Chicagoland people know about Stuffed COWS? It's a convention hosted by the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL Friday the 28th of Nov. through Sunday the 30th of Nov. They will be running PFS #1-6 there, in case you guys didn't get a chance to hook up.

You can prereg for the convention at the Roseocon Website at :

_http://cows.roseocon.net/_ (http://cows.roseocon.net/)

Prereg will close Sunday November 23rd, 2008

This is re-posted from the COWS Yahoo Group.

I don't know if there's any way to contact the member known as Astos, but he may actually live in the Ft. Wayne area and be able to run PFS at DDXP. He was promoting PFS for PentaCon, a Ft. Wayne con that went off earlier this month. Barring that, I'm sure you could bribe a 4E player to run #5 or #6 for you and scrape together a table.

OK, I'm kicking myself here. I should have thought to post here previously. I'm organizing Pathfinder for the Pandemonium conventions. The last one was in September, the next one is in January/February and then there's one in May. You can spot them on Warhorn (warhorn.net) sometimes referred to as Pan Frost (Jan/Feb), Pan Mayhem (May) and Pan Fury (September). Pandemonium is a game store in Garden City, MI (NW Detroit Metro area).

I'm also trying to organize the local Pathfinder Society players in Southeastern Michigan into a better connected organization so the GMs can share the burden of eating scenarios for their groups. Right now we have a "Judge's Table" where GMs are invited to sit and occasionally eat a scenario for the group. Then they can go back to their home tables and run the same scenario. If you'd like to join our circle, search for Pathfinder Society on Yahoo! Groups or try pasting this link: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Pathfinder_Society_Southeast_Michigan

We have 17 members currently.

Lastly, if I find out there are a lot of interested but "tableless" parties localized in Macomb or Wayne County, I may attempt to organize a monthly game day at either Pandemonium (see above) or Blue Dragon Games in Shelby Township. This is subject to the approval of the store and space being available. Also, I likely will not start until after the holidays because people are just too busy right now.

I realize that I'm posting pretty late in this thread, but better late than never.

Thanks to both Greg and Joshua for the quick replies. It is really fantastic how responsive you guys are. Thanks for correcting my error and I'll address the disease the next time those players sit down to game. I was hoping there would be a tie-in with the Slave Pits of Absalom (which I haven't played yet) and I didn't want the players to miss a scene (for example) where they were sold into slavery at a deep discount because they were 'damaged goods'. Anyways, I'm glad I got around to asking about this and doubly happy I got such an authoritative answer.

I've run Murder on the Silken Caravan twice now and I think I've given three PCs leprosy. However, the disease has to incubate for 2d4 weeks which means the PCs don't know they were infected in the course of the scenario. Without modern medicine you can't diagnose a disease until there are signs & symptoms anyways. There was a quick notation in Ben-Garri's stat block that more details concerning the disease would be found in Pathfinder #8. I have not played The Slave Pits of Absalom yet, so I don't know if that is where it will be explained/dealt with. I noted the leprosy on their chronicles along with the number of weeks before it is noticed, as well as the consequences.

Since I have a decent number of PFS players in my area (17 and counting) and we have organized a Yahoo group, I have unilaterally decided to wait until the afflicted PCs play PFS #8 before I allow them to suffer from the leprosy--and subsequently find a way to be cured. If I don't judge them again, I will know the judge who does and he/she will be aware of that loose end.

I was tempted to ask on the messageboard if anyone has judged Slave Pits and if so, was there anything in the scenario about the leprosy or was it overlooked. Can anyone give me a simple, non-spoiler answer?
