I want to incorporate a monster for protection of a prison colony on a bay in my homebrew. The basic idea is that the town has been wiped out three times by a dragon, lizardfolk, etc, and are looking for a monster they can control to help even the odds.

I used the map of Stillsquall from "Box of Flumph"/Dungeon 118 to build the town, and the warden has no moral qualms of enslaving good or evil creatures for his purposes.

Any suggestions?

I'm putting together a homebrew, and want lots of kobolds.

I've modified the Dungeon adventure "Devil in a Box," Darkmoon Vale (Hollow's Last Hope, Crown & Revenge of the Kobold King), and the Pathfinder Society Sewer Dragons. For additional source material, I have "A Touch of Evil: Kobolds."

Is there any other great stuff on kobolds you recommend?

And another stats question!

I want to scale down Belia of Zadoth, who is listed in the Pathfinder Rival guide as a Female human haunted one oracle 18 (Rival Guide, page 30) to 10th level. Can anyone help?

Anyone have stats for a 10th level female human ranger who would make a good sheriff?

I'm thinking Jane Lynch in Glee crossed with Xena. Bitter, an occasional mentor/bully for a 1st level ranger, set in a hard-times town based on Falcon Hollow.

Has anyone advanced Kullen (the albino half orc barbarian) in levels? I’m looking for Kullen at 10th level – he’s taking over Falcon Hollow.

I am designing a home-brew town, and looking for a ready-to-go product I could use for were-rats warrens underneath the small town (Falcon Hollow size.) Any suggestions?

Background:

Spoiler:
For background, I am using the same concept as the Arachne who live peacefully among the townsfolk, like in Dungeon's "Attack of the Spider Eaters," but using were-rats as the symbotic population; this time, the pretty princess character is a were-rat. So the were-rats are not trying to enslave the city, only trying to survive in a cursed and doomed town, and to protect their own. Engaged in minor smuggling, pickpocketing, and "Thieves Guild Light" sort of work -- no problem with them taking over an existing architecture with a different function so I have some flexibility.

While going to the Comic Shop to start collecting "Skaar, son of Hulk", I stumbled upon Marvel: 1602, and loved it! I'm a big fan of both Neil Gaiman and colonial history, and this was fantastic(k) !

Spoiler:
Daredevil as a bard, David Banner as the King's Agent, Magneto and the Inquistion, witchbreed instead of mutants...what's not to love?

Somehow, that series led me to start collecting DC's Elseworlds...

Civil War: Atticus Kent as Superman in "Nation Divided" was intriguing, but "Batman: the Blue, the Grey, and the Bat" was by far my favorite Civil War story. Needed more characters from the Batman canon, but Wild Bill and Mark Twain hanging out with Mark Twain was good stuff!

Superman: Kal -- Superman landing in pre-Camelot England, is really, really great -- this one should have been a series!

And Batman: Leatherwing (a pirate tale) is interesting as well...

Anyone else have any favorite alterate histories?

I've planning to offer my players the abandoned mine office from Dragon 333 as their headquarters, but want to give it a guardian/servant, on the lines of Kreacher the House Elf from the Harry Potter series.

Anyone have a good substitute idea for a House Elf? I'm going for magical, small, annoying, but useful enough in light household and setting off appropriate alarms if the headquarters is invaded...
