Greis needs to roll initiative, unless you want to do it for him to get things going.

Initiative roll = 6 + 2 = 8

Dohlok reacts ponderously as the arrows begin to fly.

"Is there someone here who can identify the remains?"

I.e. does anyone have Heal or Knowledge (Nature)?

"I concur. Perhaps we should look for evidence of his whereabouts? I suspect rifling through his possessions will not endear us to him."

"Only the dead have nothing to fear." Obviously, the morbid contents of the cave are getting to Dohrlok.

Dohrlok moves up behind Corvin to provide him with support, if necessary.

Dohlok walks to the edge of the water where Corvin waded in, but doesn't enter the water. He keeps a careful eye on Corvin and the rest of the party.

How far is it from the edge of the water to the waterfall? And how deep is the water (I'm not that tall, after all - presumably if it is a reasonable depth then charging through it would not be an option)? Also, do these stones resemble grave markers?

Dohrlok looks around, but sees no obvious danger..

Spot roll (untrained) 5+2 = 7

Dohrlok shrugs. While he wouldn't really care about the embarrassment of returning to the village, he would prefer to find something worthwhile in this forest other than the odd skirmish with kobold raiders (though a few less kobolds in this world is not a problem). Truth be told, he finds the woodland scenery slightly oppressive, and would prefer to be either in the mountains of his home, or maybe in the dungeons of the manor.

He also notes that Corvin has recovered his poise and returned to his usual, mildly unpleasant self. This is something of a relief - Corvin is an effective fighter and the party would be better off with him being undistracted by inner turmoil. Perhaps Dohrlok will suggest some more meditation techniques to him at a later stage.

Dohrlok adjusts the straps of his backpack and trudges after the rest of the party.

Dohrlok follows, keeping an eye open for any danger.

Dohrlok is disturbed by the sudden outbreak of levity.

"Hmm, I wonder if our mad architect knows more of this. So, we can either wait for the kobold to recover and question it further, or kill it now and move on."

As an aside, I don't think either Knowledge skills nor Decipher Script can be used untrained.

Dohrlok rises and begins his morning exercise routine, stretching cramped muscles after a night sleeping on the cold forest floor.

Well, obviously I would be throwing pebbles at you.

I suggest we tie up the kobold now it is out of danger, and carry on with our sleep and watch rota. The mages and the priest can restore their spiritual energy, and the kobold might speak up tomorrow.

Back to full hit points - cheers Gawlak.

Hmm, at least the kobold is sleeping better. Though it is no more informative.

"Corvin, I suggest you temper your, er, temper. Your outburst is delaying us, somewhat. If you like, I can teach you some techniques to allow you to focus your feelings constructively. At the monastery, one of the trials is to maintain a continuous meditation while bombarded with small pebbles. We could try that, if you like, after the manor?"

Dohrlok is momentarily speechless as Greis' obscene head movement - he did {I]WHAT[/i]? - then focuses on the subdued kobold.

I've taken 4 points of damage, out of 14.

Apart from you, I took a minor wound.

Indeed it did.

Just trying out my new alias!
