Hey cool, didn't know anyone was playing Dohrlok! Best of luck. Sorry to interupt. By the way, if you want an avatar, you can use anything other than "Dohrlok" or "Dohrlok, Stone Fist", as the system for obvious reasons won't let you set up two with those names.
Dohrlok moves to attack one of the enemy kobold casters, but his swing is wide.
Who is up next?
Save roll is 5 + 5 + 2 (for bonus v spells) is 12.
Assuming I am not sickened, I will punch the kobold I hit before to finish it off. Attack roll is 12 + 3 is 15. Damage is 6 + 2 is 8.

Anarath
Woo-hoo!
Dohlok attacks the kobold he missed last time. (I can't roll - I am abroad withot my dice.)
Dohrlok attacks the kobold that cast the spell at him. Natural 1. AAAAARRRRRGH!
Dohrlok swipes at the spell-casting rat-man but misses by a wide margin.
"I can't reach the beast. Best to use missiles while Corvin and I deal with its little friends."
Charge the nearest kobold. Roll to hit = Natural 20! (About time!) Roll to confirm crit = 11 + 3 + 2 for charging = 16. Damage = 4 + 1 + 4 = 9.
Not sure if I can use the longspear, but I will take it if I can.
Dohrlok shrugs. "Not really. I could do with some healing myself, though. Ah well." He charges the rising dead. Natural 4. Don't know why I bother.
Actually, I'll stop delaying now, if that's alright. Attacking Greis.
Dohrlok, lashes out, but his blow misses.
Dohrlok stands confused, then quickly releases Greis.
Ooops - Will save = 9.
Roll to hit = 17 + 3 to hit. Damage = 5 + 2 = 7.
Dohrlok, silently mourning the death of his already-fallen brethren, begins to squeeze Gries's undead body. Grapple check = 8, damage = 6.
It said:
Sorry, yes it did hit but he's still up.
Sorry, didn't realise it was my go. As my AoO, I'll make a touch attck to initiate a grapple check on Greis (after Corvin has roughed him up). Natural 20! Grapple = natural 20! + 7 = 27. He needs to oppose me to break free. I'll just hold him for now, and see if there are any funny things about him.
Roll = 9 + 3 + 2 (assuming it is a spell or spell-like effect) = 14. Fingers crossed....
"Die, vile aberrations (assuming you aren't dead already)!" Dohrlok charges Gawlak.
Roll to hit = 4 + 2 + 2 for charging = 8. Hoping against hope that that isn't a miss, 4 points of damage.
Yes, sorry, back now. Do I see anything extra with my dark vision? Like lurking, tentacled monstrosities?
"I would appreciate some healing."
Tumbling through to attack the crossbow artist Anarath attacked. Tumble check = 13, attack roll = 21. Damage = 7.
Dohrlok rolls through the melee, though not well enough to ward off any incoming blows. However, he lands a massive punch square on the snout of one of the archers.
AoO = 16 + 2 = 18 to hit. Damage = 1 + 2 = 3
Dohrlok catches the kobold a glancing blow as it tries to wriggle past him.
Dohrlok steps up to punch the nearest kobold. Attack roll = 13, likely a miss. Damage = 8. Shame I missed.
Init = 19 + 2 = 21
Dohrlok fails to notice anything, but readies himself as the elf gives his warning.
"Indeed."
Dohrlok all levelled up and posted on this site.
"I shall take a crossbow. However, it may be best for Corvin and me to close with the creature while you two elven gentlemen attack at range - both of us are skilled in close-quarters fighting and escaping from holds."
Oh crap!
"Yes, some idea as to what creature we face would be useful, so we can determine the most appropriate tactics against it."
"Odd indeed. Perhaps the worshippers of the thing are relatively new, and perhaps have elevated it whereas before it lay undiscovered. There are strange, dark things that lie in the earth for millennia before finding debased allies."
"Oh, and good work with Corvin," whispers Dohrlok to Anarath, "I was getting ready to trip him up and leave him for the kobolds while we ran. However, he seems somewhat restrained now."
"We seek the mystery that lies beneath Grimmbold Manor."
Dohrlok follows Anarath.
Spot roll = 12 + 2 = 14
"Corvin - they seem to be massing their forces. Let's follow this little freak - that's the kobold, not Scumble - as there seems to be some sort of civil war among the scaly ones. We can maybe find out what lurks beneath this manor."
Missed'em too.
Dohrlok, in hot pursuit of the kobold, mutters, "I grant you your wish."
When the time comes, I'll thump her. Corvin must be rubbing off on me.
Init = 8 + 2 = 10.
Time to roll initiative?
Or the rest of us.
Hmm, thinks Dohrlok. I had never heard of kender before I met one, and I suspect I know why. If their impetuosity doesn't get them killed, the irritation of their companions will. And so to battle once more...
"For the Stone Fists!"
Possibly you shouldn't. Still, a good rousing punch-up...
"We should take these torces - you will need light, and torches don't last forever."
"Yes, let's move on."
Dohrlok takes the items proffered by Scumble and Corvin and lights the torch.
Is there anything we can make a torch or torches out of? bits of wood, cloth, that sort of thing?
"If you have lanterns or torches, I will light them for you."
"What's the problem? I can see perfectly."
"I didn't think it was putting up much of a fight," says Dorhlok. "Do we want to keep it, or shall I just strangle it?"
"So, er, what about this guy?" says Dohrlok, who is pinning the struggling kobold.
There isn't anything intrinsically interesting about any of the PC classes, it is in the playing IMHO. If we have a rogue already, and you are not very sneaky (which you aren't) I would go with barbarian, as you are certainly crazy enough. But whatever suits, really.
