Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan does his best to cover his mouth and nose and move to acquire enough masks for the group. Once acquired he returns, "Well they seem friendly enough."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Well. Fortune favors the bold eh?" Dillan casts a wink at Amelia then opens the door, "Excuse me but could we get some of those masks?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"I think diplomacy might work better," Dillan pauses, "After all I don't relish the thought of fighting for a mask in there."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Perhaps luck will be enough. At least until we can locate a bottle of wine." Dillan smiles, then turning back to the building, "Clearly we need to do something about the smell."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan does he best to regain his composure while his companions keep her attention. He 'eyes' her over, knowing so many keep things hidden, then almost getting lost in her curves...

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

"I had a fortune teller tell me once I would meet a lovely woman in an alley." Dillan attempts his best smile, "Looks like an alley to me. Dillan is the name."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan coughs as they exit the facility, bent at the waist, with his hands resting on his knees. He manages to get out "That...is...truly...repulsive..." between coughs before noticing the new faces outside. "I wouldn't recommend entering that place."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Sounds pretty accurate!

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"What do you think is in the vats?" The rogue asks just before following across the planks...

Acrobatics 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan follows behind Sorin allowing him to be the voice while he takes in all the sights...

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29 +4= 33 vs.conversations, finding traps, concealed or secret objects

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan does his best to hide the discomfort with these 'masks' and places it on. "So what is you need us to do?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Something to control that smell." The rogue utters through hacking coughs. Then looking at the ground before him, his last few meals laying upon it, "And perhaps something to eat once my stomach settles."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Thanks.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

How long does it take to go away? Does it end the instant Dillan gets outside?

Initiative 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Fort Save 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

The rogue's bravery is short lived as he begins hacking and coughing, then quickly backing out the door gasping for fresh air.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan opens the door and leads the way in, "Excuse me gentlemen I wonder if we could ask some you questions?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

So we going in? Cast your votes :D and i'll lead the way!

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"I think they will certainly be unfriendly, but i'll try the talking approach if that's what we wish to do?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan closes the door, slowly, as to not alert those occupants within. "I have no clue what this is." The rogue looks back to the door, "I also think it best to assume those cloaked men are not going to be friendly to our intrusion."

Were those men all working at the lower level or along the planks?

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

The rogue pauses at the kennel looking in at the beast, "Curious." Dillan nods agreement in Tre's direction, sheathing his sword, he moves to the north door...

Traps 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26
Disable 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
Open Lock 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

HP: 24/29

The rogue follows Barret down from the wall and once his larger friend engages the beast he slips around the back side to gain a flanking position...

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Yes I will delay to go after Barret

Not sure if i'll be able to reach a flanking position or not this round; I am trying to avoid any possible AOO.

Sword: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Sneak Attack: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7

Possible Crit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Reflex 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Climb 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Climb 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

The rogue scurries up the rope and makes a perch then takes in the courtyard and all within...

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 +4= 29 vs hearing conversations, finding traps, concealed or secret objects.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Odd indeed...so does anyone have a grappling hook or did we need to find one? or is the wall low enough for someone to simply boost one up?

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan nods at the urchin then steps in closer to the boy and whispers, "Do you know of any other ways into the building?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

We are all gathered up. "So did you find out anything?" The rogue asks, "We found the need of a grappling hook and a flesh golem. Whatever that is."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Hearing the message Dillan returns to the others, "Perhaps then we should just wait to get the others and other needed supplies. I don't think we can get in without scaling the wall; which we'll need a grappling a hook to secure the rope to get over."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

ok, so there is the gate that is sealed from the inside and the walls that we can possibly scale. For which I think we need a grappling hook. I've got the rope, but not the hook. Thoughts? Megan, for the gate there was no way to access how it is sealed correct?

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

How well lit is the area?

Assuming the illumination factor is in the rogues best interest, he attempts to scale the wall being mindful of the glass danger...seeking a better vantage point of the inner area as well as the beast...

Climb 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 +4= 29 vs hearing conversations, finding traps, concealed or secret objects

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan whispers again, "Backside, door, by bins." Then the rogue begins about his work...

Perception for traps 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39

Disable if necessary 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32

Finally to open lock 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan returns back whispers back to Tre', "Someone is inside, I'm going to find a point of entry." Dillan will move around finding a good point to enter the house; something with hopefully a little cover from spectators.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Anything discovered from the sneak about?

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

What is the pedestrian traffic like? How empty are the streets? Is the lighting suitable for stealth?

Dillan looks at his companion and raises a single finger to his lips, signaling for silence, then makes to fade in to the night. With stealth the rogue makes his way around the building pausing at various points to take in the area searching for anything out of the ordinary or sounds from the facility.

Stealth 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28 +4= 32 vs. hearing conversations, finding traps, concealed or secret objects and/or 34 vs Traps specifically

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Despite the time of day we'll continue to the Chymic Works...once we arrive if on approach the building looks closed we will stay opposite the building for a period of observation, preferably unnoticed...of course if it appears open then we can walk up and go on in.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Perhaps we should head to the Chymic Works then?" Dillan asks Tre', "I can think of nothing else to ask you sir; thank you for your assistance and hopefully we can make sure the right culprits are put to trial."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Do you know where we can find Vorkstag and Grine?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Sounds like he was cutting up bodies? And maybe people?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"I think we need to find Vorkstag and Grine." Dillan turns his attention back to Karl, "Is there anything else you can remember? What kind of work exactly did Doctor Brada do?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

OK, now i'm curious for a more detailed description of the beast. Did he have boils? Scales? I looked back at the initial description of the 'beast' and it didn't include these additional details.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Interesting, can you describe the beast you saw?" Dillan moves closer to Tre' and whispers in elven, "Perhaps we should look for Vorkstag and Grine?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"We would be delighted to come in sir," Dillan says gently leading the man to his door, "I do understand it is all in the past but I believe you have been asked to recall things in the upcoming trial."

Once inside the cottage

"My friend and I are here to ensure the beast recieves a fair trial. There has been some thoughts of another criminal that could be using the beast as a scapegoat." He sighes, "And if this were true then the guilty party would still be free amongst the wonderful people here and could cause much more harm."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"They do still have a smell that you could enjoy." Dillan slowly reaches and shakes the mans hand in greeting, "We are on behalf of the atrocity that took place, to learn what all you can recall before you lost your sight."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan silently walks up to the man, "Not found of flowers?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Unless Tre' disputes, Dillan will lead them to Karl's cottage through the center of town; he'll keep his cloak about him (hood up) attempting to blend in to the masses. He will keep his eyes aware of his surroundings, paying particular interest to anyone observing them leaving the courthouse, and perhaps even following them...

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20 +4= 24 vs. hearing conversations, finding traps, concealed or secret objects

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Tre' and Dillan to see Karl #3.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Works for me.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"I'll talk to Karl," Dillan looks about the group, "Any care to join me?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Should we split up or approach them all together?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillans focus changes at the sound of the coins, then again at the mention of a hundred more, "We will need to know all the evidence that is against him. If there any suspicions of anyone who has to gain from this?" He pauses, "What if the beast followed someone into the library? Or saw someone enter and thought to rescue someone within? Perhaps I should get back there to check the grounds, along the outskirts for tracks?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan takes a place back from the group, a way to observe the room without appearing to be to nosey...

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 +4= 31 vs. hearing conversations, finding traps, concealed or secret objects

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

"Honest approach eh?" Dillan smiles at the remark, "Didn't seem to work for the beast. I mean his intelligence should be enough to set him free or perhaps they think by putting him down they are helping him."
