About Deylon

Backround:

Story: The most inteligent of a mercenaries sons, and therefore sent off wizarding school in hopes to dash dreams of glory and raise the name of his line from vagabond sellswords to respectable mages. Still the alure of the blade was tempting enough that Deylon sought to uphold both ways; the sword which paid for his education, and the spell which would bring glory back to his family line. While he has not quite had the arcane success that is hoped, he has been more than successful in the school dueling club, as most magiges can't withstand more than 1 or two spells, let alone take a blow from a properly trained hand. This has gained him work on weekends and holidays protecting the white mages who tend to the peasants on such days. While not the paladin that was hoped for, his service has been useful and appreciated. Deylon tithes 1/4 of his earning to the church and puts the rest towards his furthered education. He is not opposed to other work, provided the job will pay for his needs and does nto conflict with his ideals. Though not mentioned to him by his father, Deylons family comes from a long line of Redmages and Darkknights, he was just the first to be born with enough magical aptitude in generations. Thus, his family name is of no importance in these recent times.

Description: Of sturdy build and sound mind, Deylon is an ideal Romandian youth. Fit and fairly handsome, but possessing the cold blue eyes of a warrior. As per the traditions of his abilities, Deylon wear predominately red clothing. Iconic to his class is the large red wide brimmed hat and red cloak. Her wears white underclothes, a chain shirt, and red trousers. His tunic is red with a golden insignia of his school. The only brown he wears happens to be his hair, boots and gloves.

Philosophy and Goals: Deylon does want to become successful enough to bring glory back to his family, but doing so may require him to seek out glory. As he is educated, he believes in calculated risk. Though the heroic blood in his veins does often get him roused and willing to be an active champion. He is fascinated with Dragoons, Monks, and dynamic blending of sword and spell. hoping one day to invent a style worthy of being a school. (may work toward dragon disciple or mystic theurge)
