I will be handing over DM duties to one of my players next year. At this point even if I was not, I have so much material I could probably run game for 5-10 years without buying anything new.

The new DM plans on sticking with 3.5, we have spent enough money an have busy enough lives outside of this hobby that it just does not make sense to start from scratch.

That being said, I think Paizo should continue to publish material for 3.5. Provided of course WOTC does not attempt to stop you from doing so.

I think that at least for the next 2-3 years there will be enough people who do not want to change to a new edition that you will be able to meet the sales goals that will enable you to stay in the publishing business. I know people that would still purchase new 2nd edition material if a company could publish products of that edition.

Will still be playing 3.5. We like having a complete and closed library.

My players are all pretty much Divine Spellcasters (with the exception of one who has a couple different fighter type PRC's). Of course they are all also 28th level which is a bit different than a normal campaign.

At that level an all Divine Party is pretty much unstoppable without a TPK. Everyone can Resurrect everyone else, they all have access to Mass Heal and Miracle. On top of that with all the buff spells they can pretty much duplicate any fighter or Rogue type they need.

They do lack the nasty area effects that only a high level wizard/sorcerer can bring but they make due without that.

Name: Rolliard. (I think).
Race: Sun Elf
Class: Sorcerer:
Level: 23
Circumstances: Sliced in half by Galgauth of the Trio Nefarious with his weapon Heartcleaver.

Adventure: Forgotten Realms setting. Modified Fall of Myth Drannor in a time travel adventure.

Back to back, Epic character deaths! :-)

Name: Valinor
Race: Human
Class: Cleric/Exotic Weapon Master/Fist of Raziel/Alchemical Knight
Level: 7/1/9/10 (27)
Circumstances: He was hacked in twain by an Epic Vampiric Dwarf Fighter/Dwarven Defender who hit him for over 300 points of damage.

Name: Ombra
Race: Shade
Class: Rogue/Assassin
Level: 7/15 (26) [4 CR for Race]
Circumstances: The round immediately after Valinor was killed, the Rogue was annihilated by a Devastating Critical from the Dwarf.

Adventure Path: Forgotten Realms setting. Modification of the Dying of the Light from Dungeon #84.

I believe that spell is the Black Blade of Disaster.

Thanks for the ideas.

Interesting topic.

I have a player that has been asking me this same question.

He wants to find or have someone create a weapon to permanently kill devils or demons by slaying them on the Prime Material plane. I said no such weapon exists but that I would consider creating one. My players are 29th level so this is not too much of a bizarre request in my opinion.

Anyone ever create or seen any weapon like the one my player is asking for? I have my own ideas but I just wanted to hear some thoughts.

Thanks.
