About Demiurge 1138
Nick Herold has been using the nom de guerre "Demiurge1138" since his early involvement in the Dungeons and Dragons community. He discovered D&D as a Boy Scout through the Monstrous Compendium, and has been hooked ever since. On the seminal RPG message board ENWorld, Nick established a presence as a monster maven, posting hundreds of homebrew creatures, conversions from earlier editions and participating in the Creature Catalog project. After jumping ship to Pathfinder, Nick continued his love of all things mysterious and macabre, founding Demiurge Press, a small publishing company devoted to delivering top shelf monsters.
In his day job, Nick is a student teacher of Biology and holds an MS in Entomology from the University of California, Davis. He lives with his girlfriend and his cat.
