"Settle down? Yes I suppose I will. A corner in the barracks, I will be able to supervise the men and see to the horses easily there. Thank you for the suggestion Delilah!"

Delilah isn't sure what to say and just blinks in surprise as she saw what she said being twisted into something she wasn't learning towards.

"I meant...you know. Settle down with a good woman, have a family. Maybe a strong son to carry on your legacy when you are old and gray?" she suggests off-handedly

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:

Jameson is bemused as he answers Delilah's question.

"No, no princesses. My father perhaps, but then he is a different man than I. When we took this fort from the Staglord I did very little, Ganit and Sir Raslov took down most of the bandits while Zorestar, Carina and Telias used their magic to turn the tide. I am but one man with a horse and lance, there is little I can do now to change this kingdom."

"I don't believe that." she shrugs "my brother is a great bowman, but I think you could do many great things for this kingdom. Train a cavalry, inspire the troops against any threats that may approch this kingdom." she smiles towards Jameson and then shyly says "Maybe even settle down."

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:
"Tuskgutter? The giant pig yes? I dealt the killing blow but Sir Raslov had used his body to pin it down and the others held it steady. All I did was point Donal in the right direction. I regret that the beast had to die now, but at the time I considered it a great feat. Much like the bear we ended to free the temple."

"But still, you must be brave to be so valiant as to charge in with your lance and take it down." she smiles towards Jameson and inches a little closer to him "I've always read stories about great knights who cut down the hordes of evil beasts to rescue the princess. Have you rescued many princesses?" it's obvious from her tone that the question is more of a playful joke.

Delilah continues to try and get time talking with Jameson, wanting to learn about the valiant Cavalier. Due to they're last talk, she's avoided asking about his brother for the obvious reasons. She also mentions how she heard about Jameson being the one who delt the final blow that killed Tuskgutter.

The Hermit Ganit D'Artain wrote:

Having lived off the grid for so many years, Ganit had forgotten about the one real benefit of city life. The tavern. When he wasn't scavenging through the squalid and steadily expanding underbelly of Vertaria, he was filling his gut with elk meat and whiskey. When anyone came to give him any personal tribute, he would refuse their offer flatly, save for the few that offered to buy him a drink.

A few times a week he would share an awkward obligatory meal with his sister, doing his best to feign interest as she prattled on about this or that.

Delilah often talks about Jameson, saying that he is so brave, but wanting to learn more about him from you. Thing is she at times starts asking more questions than just talking as she can tell Ganit doesn't appear to be too focused in their talking.

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:

Jameson stares quietly into the distance before answering.

"My brother named him. A decent man, I think, if he'd had the chance. He was misled and betrayed by those who loved him."

She listens intently and nods.

"What do you mean if he had the chance? How was he mislead and betrayed?" she steps a little closer and can clearly tell this is something tough to speak about, so takes hold of Jameson's hand.

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:

"Thank you Delilah, but I have to see to Donal first. You're welcome to help if you'd like."

Jameson will spend the next several hours grooming Donal and boring Delilah to tears with talk of horses if she indulges him.

She does indeed indulge him, taking a interesting in learning about about the talk of horses and the many different types of breeds through the land, along with the barding for horses.

"How did you come up with the name?" she asks curiously.

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:
"Hello again Delilah. We didn't have much chance to speak on the road as I was riding ahead. My name is Jameson Addercop the Fourth, but please call me James. I stand on no ceremony. Tell me again, how did you reconnect with Ganit?"

"I'm sorry, me and my brother had a rough reunion." she admitted freely, shrugging as she does. "You have such a noble name. Are you a real knight? Along with that man over there." she pointed in Bronwyn's direction.

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:
"I've not seen hide nor hair of him lately, which is part of the reason I want to find him. I think you're right, if we start off he might find us first."

Delilah steps over to Ganit and smiles towards Jameson.

"Brother, won't you introduce me to your friend here?" she asks curiously and managing to subtly pinch Ganit as she does so.

"I have no interest in titles, you take the title brother, you have deserved it if half of what I hear that has happened is true."

"I said I'd hear no arguements on it," Ganit repeats stubbornly. "That goes for you too."

"You can make everyone's home-life better than yours ever was or do you want people like Josef Mordelle to appear in this new kingdom?"
"Thing about serpents and rats is they always seem to show up where you don't expect them. I'm certain we're too late to ever prevent something that from happening." It was impossible actually, he thinks to himself. Their kingdom may not have been formed without me and I was such an agent. How many more are still out there?

She looks at you quite defiantly when you tell her about the no arguments going for her too.

"The issue with snakes and rats, if you can still exterminate them. Only when you don't bother anymore, does a man like him get his position of power." she replies, using his own statement against him.

The Hermit Ganit D'Artain wrote:

Aron, are you still playing Delilah as an NPC or did you want me to?

"Her name's Delilah," Ganit interjects before the poor girl has a chance to open her mouth. "I've promised her a home in your kingdom. Any titles, gifts or honors you planned to give me for my part in fulfilling the charter you'll give to her in my stead. I'll hear no arguement on that. I understand you plan to rebuild the Stag Lord'd keep. If you had any sense, you'd have scouted the land and lakes surrounding it before making such a descision; since you're not exactly the most subtle or skilled bunch for that sort of work, I guess I'll have to see to it that the job's handled properly. Another thing," he continues. "Don't expect me to be calling you Lords and Ladies and the like. The Stag Lord fancied himself such titles but it didn't change what he was; same can be said for all of us."

hope the picture is alright, wanted there to be the right sort of picture, but at the same time didn't want her to look evil like so many portraits there are of women with dark hair :p Or demons. Also you ninja'd me :p

Ganit's sister doesn't really say anything as Carina asks the first question, but about the daughter comment she laughs.
"I have no interest in titles, you take the title brother, you have deserved it if half of what I hear that has happened is true." she points out to him for the way he's speaking to Carina. "Brother, you should accept gifts when being offered them. You can make everyone's home-life better than yours ever was or do you want people like Josef Mordelle to appear in this new kingdom?"
