Grats to those that made it in!

Done with converting/updating the profile. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Okay, cool... um, I'm not that familiar with the unchained stuff. Can they still use the same archetypes?

Rolling for ability scores
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 5) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 5) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 2) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 1) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 1) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 6) = 17

I'm interested in applying with this character, but have a few questions.

I've played this campaign in PbP with this character up to the start of book two, and ran this campaign IRL up to the end of book two. Is that an issue?

Also, I noticed you don't seem to be a fan of the the summoner (or at least prefer the unchained one), so would the fact that she's always been a master summoner be an issue?

If you do not have a problem with either of the above, then I'll move forward with modifying the profile.

Appearance/Personality::

Delia is an attractive young lady, with fair skin, almost platinum blonde hair she keeps up in either braids or buns, and big bright eyes. Her looks are hidden behind her frown and red puffy eyes though, it is hard for her to smile since the loss of her father and the crying has left its mark. With her slight frame, people always told her she looked just like her mother, but Delia doesn't remember what she looks like, so she just had to take their word for it. Her clothing is indicative of the latest fashions often festooned in embroidered designs of her own making, and her hair is always different, changing the style daily. She likes to look her best and has an eye for what she feels looks good on others as well. Her Eidolon, Father, is also dressed well, and she wouldn't have it any other way. It doesn't make much difference though, when his featureless visage is clearly showing. He looks like a dressing mannequin, no facial features, balled joints connect simple cylindrical limbs to one another, and his hands are crude and awkward. He always stands, arms-crossed, either obediently behind Delia, or protectively in front of her.

Delia is bright and compassionate. She believes that if there were just more compassion from others the world could be joyful. She is obviously a dreamer, she loves beauty, and fashion, and the splendor of the royal courts. She would one day like to be a court wizard, and serve to help a king and queen understand the nature of magic to better help them rule a land rife with it. This would allow her to always be able to follow the latest trends and fashions, and maybe lead those trends someday.

Background::

Delia was born and raised in Ustalav. Her father Grigory Pilachet, despite being a hulk of a man with big ham hands, was a tailor of some renown. He would create some of the most marvelous social wear for nobles among the minor houses, but politics being what they are he was unable to get better appointments. It was understood that since he never refused a customer, he wasn't willing to take part in the little games. For every bit of favor he gained with one house, it would just upset another.

Her mother left when she was only around five winters, and Delia barely remembers her. Her father wouldn't talk about it, always just leaving it with his usual line, "It's important that people stay true to what they believe." He never explained what he meant, or where she went, just that it was her decision and that he couldn't hate her for it, because he still loved her for remaining who she was at heart.

With her mother gone, her Father doted on her whenever he could, telling her that he had to give her enough love to equal two parent's worth. He made her the finest dresses, calling her princess, and always worked for her more than anything else, even teaching her the subtle nuances of the trade. As she got older and needed higher education, he used up whatever favors he could to get her into a school above their station. This is how she first met Professor Petros Lorrimor, as he was at the time instructing at the academy during her first year. It was with his help that she secured a scholarship to finish out her education.

When she completed her schooling she returned home to live with her father until she could get work, possibly as a court wizard. She would help him around the shop and with erands. Upon returning home with a new bundle of fabrics, she saw someone running from the shop, someone whose details she couldn't quite make out. As she entered, she saw her father lying there on the floor, killed swiftly and cleanly, his latest comission missing. In her grief, crying over his prostrate form, she did not realize that she was twisting magical energies. It wasn't until the mannequin began to move that she became aware of what had happened. At first she was startled, but despite its big frame it approached her calmly and held her as she cried. She was reminded of her father, and how despite his size, he was gentle man.

This is when she made a connection between the two. She concluded that this was not just a contraption, but that it bore her father's soul. She put it in her father's clothing, wrapped up their most important posessions, and declared that they would find the killer.

She often associates with the eidolon as she would her real father. As they walk she hangs on his arm, she has a light in her eyes when she looks at him. She has grown into a pretty young woman, but sometimes her looks are marred by a perpetual frown and her eyes are often red and puffy from crying. Every night when she sleeps, her father leaves her once again, and it's only after she wakes is she able to bring him back. Her biggest fear is that the longer she sleeps, she worries that one day he may not be able to find his way back.

Her Eidolon's Profile

Feel free to skim her posts to see how I RP her (despite her being a young attractive female character, I DO NOT do the loli crap).

Sorry, I'm going to have to back out of this one. I was excited, but my semester is crazy busy, and two of my other PbP's that teetered on the edge of dying just saw a resurgence.

I was thinking, how does a summoner work in Ravenloft (especially if good and summoning celestial creatures)? The mists control who can and cannot come into the domain, and I know any sort of portal or planar travel had serious penalties/inabilities. I may have a second question (or more) based off your response.

Also, I mirror the question posed earlier about what the direction of the campaign will be. It feels like there is a lot of anti-hero love going on, and very close to the point of not hero. Will this be an evil campaign or are there any restrictions to the ratio of evil:non-evil?

Dotting with Delia (Aardvark's submission). Seeing Half-Vistani as an option, I would love to switch her to that. It also gels with her mother's actions somewhat.

No problems. Take however much time you need, it's your show.

This is a character I played in this module up to the start of the second book. Then it pretty much died.

If possible I will drop her back to lvl 1 and use the stats below

4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 5) - 1 = 15
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 6) - 3 = 16
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 1) - 1 = 12
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 3, 6, 1) - 1 = 10
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 1) - 1 = 16
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 6) - 2 = 13
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 4) - 3 = 13

Let me know and I will make the appropriate changes, everything else should be in the profile.

This is just a heads up. I will have limited accessibility due to travel from 25 Jul until 9 Aug. I will have my computer, but will only be able to post as the wife and available internet access allow.

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

Ried said pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I love this character and AP (tried running it for my group but they TPK'd in the 2nd half of the 2nd book).

I've been here from the start, and plan on staying, and have all my other games to keep me busy when things slow down.

Delia thanks Kaleb and the Kin for the gift, claiming it unnecessary but expecting an argument. She attends the funeral, and tries to comfort the girls during. The next morning she begins her day by calling to Father to return to her side. She suggests that Ried carry the new dagger, as he's the most likely amongst them to use it within melee range. If she finds herself there, it's too late for daggers.

Delia has the others place the bundle gently on the ground as she addresses the troupe leader. "Kaleb, let me first offer my sincerest condolences. I almost hate to say that we found your companion, but we did not find her in time. She befell the dangers of the swamp, but we thought it best to return her to you all so that you may experience a sense of closure. If you would like, I will help if you choose to have a ceremony for her, otherwise you can ask us to leave you all to mourn in peace?"

Her mouth drops agape at his insult, "Wha...? Senseless? How dare... egotistical insufferable... ARRRGH!" She is unable to form a coherent reply, and is left with her face pinched in anger, her arms rigid by her side with hands balled into fists. She huffs, crosses her arms, and as soon as his back is turned, sticks her tongue out at him. A smug look crosses her face once she feels she has appropriately returned the insult.

Delia allows him to heal her without protest, but as he gets close her demeanor softens, "I do not mock any who have lost loved ones. Mourn how you will, and I will do the same, but do not expect to tell me to move on. As long as I carry those I have lost in my heart, I will never get over the pain of their loss and absence, but do not think that it hinders me in any way. Quite the opposite, I am made stronger by the pain I bear, and I will carry it always."

Sadness is her schtick so much, that her last name is actually Russian for 'cry'

Delia will only stay as long as the elemental does. She won't call another just to look for stuff that may or may not be present.

When Aerick claims they should return, she fixes him with her common pinched brow and hard set jaw. "Excuse me? We're done? Have you no compassion for those poor girls that lost their sister, and the rest of them that have lost a friend? Do you not think we should do our best to return her to them so that they may be affodred some sort of closure. Have you never lost a loved one?" When she gets to the last sentence there is the waver in her voice to indicate being on the verge of tears.

Instead she turns her back to him, takes a deep breath, huffs, and crosses her arms. Collecting herself she asks steely, "Would anyone be willing to at least help bear her back to them? I would have Father do so, but I am bereft of him until tomorrow." her voice softens at the mention of Father.

Delia, not wanting to suggest it, is relieved that the creature dissembled of its own accord. She is, however, saddened to see what she suspected. Adding only a "Poor child. I hate to have to deliver such unfortunate news to her sisters." As Ried searches, Delia has her present water elemental help as they did at the prison, only this time she is glad to have learned their tongue.

As long as we play with good tactics considering we are less a heavy hitter, we should be mostly fine.

Delia, having lost Father and already used her big spell to help, falls back to her usual casting in combat. Conjuring up a globule of acid, she lobs it at the big thing. Meanwhile, the water elemental continues to attack as instructed.

Acid Splash, 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 5 - 4 = 8 ranged touch, if that hits 1d3 ⇒ 3
Slam attack 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 1 + 2 = 14 (water mastery, flank), if that hits 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

She has to let him vanish this time, or both of them would be -HP just from the bite alone, and then the constrict be too much.

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

Don't forget, Aerick, Ried, and Ember have Haste (as Ember used quite effectively), so Aerick should have another attack.

Delia weakly moves slightly closer, needing to be within range to cast in the space beyond. Pain etches her features, both emotional and physical, as she begins using her common practice of summoning aid from beyond. When she finishes, a small water elemental appears behind the large eel thing attacking them. Once it does, she commands it to act in its own sibilant and flowing tongue, "Sshewlish fwurelihaas". It understands, and follows, attacking the big creature.

Move to M13
Summon Monster II, small water elemental, into E12 (for flank)
Slam attack 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 1 + 2 = 18 (water mastery, flank), damage 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Is Agnar still with us? I hadn't seen him since we started the second book, I thought he was out.

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

After me when I posted, or after me in init order? Hoping it's the latter, since Delia goes first right after the enemy.

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

Delia cries out and almost drops to her knees as she suddenly develops large wounds over her body. As she does so, the wounds that should have appeared on Father, do not. It is obvious that she suffered the damage for him. As she struggles to her feet, she casts a spell to enhance the ability of the warriors to bring a bigger fight to the thing, "Fisyob Eestro!" She then moves a bit back toward safety.

She used Life Link to soak ALL the constrict damage, keeping him alive and conscious.
Standard, cast Haste, affecting Father, Aerick, Ember, and Ried.
Move about 10'-15' away.

I don't know if they can use the Haste this round, or have to wait til next?

My Skull & Shackles game died, and I have decided to scrap it and start over with Mummy's Mask. As such I have started an invite only recruitment thread, and everyone here is encouraged to apply to the game. I still have a few players from the previous game, so am only looking for 2 players. I may possibly need up to 4, based on whether all my S&S players are staying or not, in order to get a 6 person team.

Link to the recruitment

Not that I meant that I didn't know about your mutagen or anything. I just meant in this instance that I don't think she would realize you were going to use a mutagen to gain scent, or that you could (without looking into it, I didn't know you could but I could see it being a discovery).

All the same, she just learned how to evolve Father further with her new spell, and likely didn't have need for it before, so it is a new idea even for her.

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

I totally just remembered, but come to think of it, Delia would not think of it yet as she is unsure of what Ried is trying to do (since he has not yet made the Mutagen). I took the Lesser Evolution Surge for my latest spell. I can give Father the Scent ability (granted only for 4 minutes).

Delia huffs and puts her fists on her hips at being called a small girl, "Oh, and you would be better off wandering off on your own in this fetid morass, taking Father with you? Just so you know, his essence wanes as he gets further from me. I say we all stick together, so as to not lose anyone further. You know, there is one thing we have yet to try."

With that she cups her hands around her mouth to amplify the sound and calls out, "Alesse, sweetie, where are you child? We're here to help you, your family is worried."

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

Delia nods in agreement with Ember's assessment, "He seems genuinely concerned. Father and I do not feel that this is a ploy of some sort. We should see if we can help them. They are missing a family member."

Sense Motive 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Delia listens to the man as he speaks, looking for any sign of ill intentions, but she is comfortable knowing Father will be doing the same. She begins to speak to the man, but those that have been around her for a bit recognize that she is being cordial but not necessarily as nice as she usually is when dealing with others. "Nice to meet you Kaleb. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, but I myself am not trained in any such manner, nor is he." she indicates Father, standing protectively beside her, his arms crossed. "I will confer with the others of our group, and see if together we will be able to offer assistance." With that she turns to the others and hints that she would like them to step aside, possibly back to their camp and discuss what they will do.

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

As they find their campsite, and begin to make preparations, Delia notices the people up on the hill and represses a shudder of revulsion. With a heavy sigh, she suggests, "Well, if we intend to stay the night here, it would be in our best interests to at least get an idea of who or what it is we are taking refuge near. Father, please join me, anyone else is welcome to come along as well." With that she dusts off her traveling gear, straightens her hair, and makes her way toward the wagons.

Female Human Unchained Master Summoner 1 (AC: 15 [T: 12 /F: 13]; CMD 13; HP: 9/9; F+1, R+2, W+1; Init: +2; Perc: -1)

Delia lifts an eyebrow of superiority at the mention of adventures, "Well, since our next destination is to head for Liepstadt to return the books you came to check on, I would imagine we are going the same way. I cannot prevent you from traveling with us. As I had told Ried before, however, I do not intend to have any adventures or get into more trouble. I'm just trying to complete a final favor for a dearly departed friend. If we run into trouble or adventure along the way, why then I would welcome the assistance, but I'm certainly not going to look for adventure. I believe all our plans have been set, and we leave in the morning. I hope everyone is ready to travel?"

Sorry for the delay, my computer has been acting stupid these last few days. Bear in mind, that despite my telling, Delia got a 20 on her perform.

Delia wets her lips, takes a breath, and begins ”We were first called to Ravengro to attend Professor Lorrimor’s funeral, may Pharasma keep him” she signs the spiral ”and even then there was trouble. We had to deal with dissenters that tried to besmirch the good Professor’s name, but we managed to quell that. Afterward we were read the will, which asked that we stay with Miss Lorrimor for at least a month, and to deliver books to Liepstadt. Not too long after we had been in town a bloody letter, ‘V’ to be exact, appeared on the monument for those that died in the Harrowstone fire. We went about trying to solve the mystery. After a little research, thanks to the libraries at the Pharasman church and the Professor’s journal, we discovered some clues that led us to want to investigate the ruined prison and question whether the Professor’s death was indeed an accident.”

She dips her head in apology to Kendra for having to discuss the death still more, ”At the prison we encountered many haunts and vile spirits, from the spirits of dead prisoners, to dark energies about difficult times in the cells. Within we found one beneficent spirit, that of the Warden’s wife Vesorianna, who was trying to hold the evil spirits at bay after her husband’s spirit was taken away. We learned that the writing on the statue was caused by a vile spirit and intended to take her powers away. Most importantly we faced the five most malicious spirits in control of the place. I don’t remember having any issue with Father Charlatan, but the Piper sent dark visions against us, as did the Mosswater Marauder. The vile hatred of the Lopper was tough physically, but the worst amongst them was The Splatterman, who tested our very limits and pushed us to them. After we vanquished them, the warden’s wife was able to take control and calm all the spirits of the place.”

”All the while as we came to and fro from the prison, there were wicked goings on in town, odd visions, wandering dead, and a town council was interrupted by flaming skulls. We were able to deal with most of these with not too much trouble. Over all, the portents are what are most disturbing. The hauntings were out of control, because a group with ill intentions had stolen the original spirit keeping them at bay, that of the warden. An odd ritual had been scribed around the base of the prison, and they captured his spirit and made away with it. We were told by Vesorianna that those that performed the ritual were also those that killed the Professor. We do not know what they want with it, or what they intend to do with it, but it cannot be for the good of all as that is not how the Whispering Way operates.”

Delia nods as Kendra handles the man from the University, taking a calming breath at her words, and a restraining hand from Father. It seems he has experience with not only protecting her, but protecting others from her verbal backlashes as well, by working to keep her calm.

At the request of the retelling, Delia will stand. She crosses her hands, as taught when performing with the fingers tucked into the opposite hand in front of her stomach, and begins....

Delia will tell the story, as she was here from the beginning, likes the attention, and may just have a penchant for it. That and she often thinks the others give out WAY too much information, WAY too often.

Aerick, I do believe you meant you were to speak with Ember.

As Zeth mentions coming on behalf of the University, Delia becomes notably irritated, "Stupid administrators. Can they seriously not wait until they get delivered as they were told they would be? We have been tasked to take them, but only after staying to help Lady Lorrimor. Instead, they are so uptight over a couple books, that we are supposed to rush away from a friend in mourning? Well, they will get there when they get there, and you can go tell them that."

Nothing personal Zeth, Delia often takes exception to what she considers time wasted in political maneuvering or cold rationale. It's visible in all the times she butted heads with the town council of Ravengro.

Delia regains her composure at Kendra's compliment, "You are more than welcome sweetie. I just want to do what I can to ease your burden, and I too will be sad to leave for Liepstadt, but we have an agreement to uphold. When we are done, however, just send word and I will return if you have need of me for anything."

Also, in their down time, Delia would have purchased a Noble's outfit, signet ring, and 100 gp, worth of jewelry. In character, because she likes nice things, and loves to dress fancy, out of character so I can finally use her trait bonus to the social skills.

I actually started looking just to see if I could find a better pic for Father (which clearly I didn't), and decided to have a look for Delia as well. I needed to find the right balance between pretty, youthful (but not childlike), yet still not smiling. There were very few that worked out, and I think the one I picked actually works well for her. It says spoiled princess, but not total b+&~!, to me.

She snatches her hand from his as he asks about Father, a scowl growing and her lips pursed before a clenched jaw. "He's not a construct... he's..... he's a... she looks flustered, her eyes darting like she can't find the words. Finally, her expression softens as her eyes shimmer with moisture. Her voice goes soft as she finishes her thought, "He's a remnant, ...of a memory." She quietly makes her way to her place at the table and looks sullenly at her food. As Father steps up close behind and lays a comforting hand on her shoulder, she reaches up with her own resting it on his hand in recognition of his presence.

Delia nods, and curtsies lightly at the compliment, before answering, "I believe the term you intended was 'Milady', and yes you may. My name is Delia Pilachet, and this is...'Father'" She holds out one hand, fingertips pointed down and the back of the hand forward, in a lady's handshake. The other hand she sweeps toward her companion, who remains unmoved from his protective and scrutinizing stance.

Delia finally emerges from the kitchen with a bread board bearing three good-sized loaves of dark rye. Despite her barking of orders, and matronly demands, she is still a young woman, no more than seventeen. She carries herself like someone that expects to be listened to, and looks ready to scold anyone that doesn't do so. Despite this, she is an attractive young woman, and it looks as if she knows this, but there is a sadness in her that seems to betray that confidence a little.

Profession Cook, dinner 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Profession Cook, dessert 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Of course, as before, she does desserts better than meals.

As the newcomers and the others gather round and begin to converse, Delia calls out from the kitchen once again, "Okay, food's coming out, everyone make sure you wash up. I'll not have improper table manners if we are entertaining guests. That said, I expect our guests to comport themselves with the proper decorum of company and wash up themselves. There are easily a few basins and ewers that everyone can find one. Father, could you help me carry these platters? Ried, be a dear and set the places, you know where the dishes are."

Delia calls back out from the kitchen, irritation just barely hidden in her response at adding more, "Well, I hope they like wurst cooked with cabbage and peppers, cause that all we're having. Though having two more will help keep me from getting fat eating more than one slice of this strawberry-rhubarb pie." She speaks to someone else with her in the kitchen, "Father, would you be so kind as to take their coats and help Ember see them to the sitting room?"

Delia calls out from the kitchen as Ember answers the door, "Who is it, one of the council? Are they staying to eat? Let me know quick so I can add more to the recipe." As the second knock comes later she calls out. "Have they not been let in? Ember? Didn't I hear you answer the door?"

Do you want that specific format, or could I just add CMD to my current entry?

Also, I normally put my in the class/level field. If I put it in gender, do you want it to be before the gender, so the quick stats show up before my gender/race/class.

As an aside, some of my players put theirs in a spoiler in the class/level block, would this be acceptable (not a big fan myself)?

Okay, removed the skill points. Everything is up to date now. Also, be mindful of Father's Perception, it changed by a lot.

Sorry, just need to take away Dex skills from Father and myself. Otherwise ready to go. Just been busy this weekend with the weather and all the shoveling of snow.

I gave my opinion on the Dex to skills, but I won't fight it if you really want to do it. I was just pointing out what I thought of the power of the Dex stat already.

I had already assumed that we were using it since I was the only one that had reservations about it, and have already added them on my sheets.

Delia and Father are done. Realized that I have been doing Father's attacks all wrong. I was doing a d10 when he should have been doing 2d6.

For the rebuild I swapped out the teamwork feat she shared with Father (Swap places). She took Eschew Materials instead. Father took Dodge.
