You can come and go. There is a small village just a few miles away that is detailed in the RA book. (But I do mean SMALL village.)

Bard's Gate is really just a hold over from the Necromancer Games days. It doesn't actually tie in directly to Rappan Athuk.

Where in Golarion would you place Rappan Athuk?

I would place it in the center of Absalom. Give those guys something fun to play with.

But truthfully when I was running a Necroworld adventure I put the Forest of Hope in the southern part of the Sanos Forest. For Reme I used Magnimar. For Bards Gate i just added it in between Magnimar and Wartle, and I used Sandpoint as Fairhill.

Cool. I'll look at those locations.

So, looking at this area, I found the pirate locations to be a bit problematic. It isn't a big part of the adventure and could have been re-flavored or removed entirely without much trouble, but I like pirates...

S, I found an area in Molthune that looks to fit the bill very well. The Witherbark Forest makes a good Forest of Hope and there is enough open area that you can fit in small towns and such easily. Bard's Gate can become Korholm by moving it South of the dungeon area and everything else looks to fall into place nicely.

And... I start running this bad boy on Sunday! Wish me luck. :D

Rappan Athuk, without a trap finder... I'm thinking I see a flaw in party the make up. (Currently Sorc, Ftr, Orcl and Magus.)

Mwahahahahahaha...

Downloaded and sitting down with a cold beer to start familiarizing myself with the first few sections.
