It's not a book, it is a tome!

Having just done an initial pass through the book I can only say one thing: wow!

I like the production values, the content.... I like everything, it totally deserves its 5 stars.

Worth it

After reading through it for 6 hours straight I can only come to this conclusion that this was a very good investment.

The book is almost as big as the RPG itself, not your average 100 page splatbook, it has 256 pages with great artwork and most of all great content.

If you play Dark Heresy you can't go wrong with this book.

The bleak darkness of the 41st millennium

We’ve only recently started playing Dark Heresy and it has been a blast. The bleak dystopian future of the 40k universe is highly enjoyable. The gritty realism, you may start with 10 wounds (hitpoints) and know that is all you will ever have, the extremely funny critical hits charts (funny if it happens to someone else) gives it a distinct flavor.

I found that the game is remarkable easy to learn, if you’ve played d20 you’ll get the hang of it soon enough even though you have to use d100’s.

So I highly recommend Dark Heresy.

If you want to try before you buy, there are a number of free demo adventures out there that will show you the setting and the system. Edge of Darkness is by far the better one.
