Sincubus wrote: Don't get me wrong, I would actually like an army of Goblins, so 10 goblin pawns are good for me, I just don't like 40 spaces for cool monsters being elminated by boring dragon models for smaller and larger variants, and same with Elementals... If Paizo tells me there are 250 DIFFERENT creatures in the box I want 250 different creatuers, big and small elementals with the same art aren't different creaturs for me, nor are dragons with bigger scale-pictures. White Dragon is a white dragon, 4 or 3 white dragons (whatever the size) should be counted as a dubble creature, not as seperate creatures that spoil the 250 unique creatures. Actually it says there is more than 300 pawns in the box and 250 unique creatures. So it sounds like that 50+ difference is the duplicates.
Judgeohno wrote: I love this book. thank you. Please do more products on the Dragon Empires. Especially more on Nagaji and Samsaran new races. I know the primer is coming. Is there anymore in the pipeline?
I believe and going from memory and parapharasing here. But I believe when asked about a World Guide hard back for the area, James said it would depend on how well DE and the primer did in sales. Or something to that effect. So basically if you want more then make sure everyone you know buys those books. :)
Yeah I know, I just meant the new ones are Pathfinder ready from the get go and well newer.

You must have been really smart at 8 :D Well keep in mind it was AD&D I learned to play with as that is what my brother was playing and I joined his group. Mostly they just told me what dice to roll and when after I would say what I wanted to do. But it didn't take to long to get the hang of it. The game was a lot simpler then.
Don't have it yet. My Dec budget for RPG's is spent already. So your going to have to wait awhile to hear that. :)
Honestly I haven't read it yet. Haven't had time yet. I just gave it a quick once over. All I can do right now is give you a rough page count for each section. regions get about 34 pages with each nation getting a single full page about them. But just giving it a quick look there seems to be a lot of variety to them. Then about 10 pages about life in the Dragon Empires. After that there is 20 gods, 6 of them are known gods worshiped there and 14 are all new gods.
Pity as I am always on the look out for some cool steam punk books.
I would imagine so, I imagine they just have not gotten around to updating it for B3.
Cool, hopefully it does well for you.
female, was in the army reserve. Starting playing when I was 8 and have been playing for over 20 years.
To many cute stories with people and their kids. :)
That's ok I still haven't gotten mine yet either. Least not the online version. I am sure the actual card is with my box of stuff where ever that is in the mail system.
SilvercatMoonpaw wrote: That doesn't tell me how much of this product is crunch. Very very little. With out going back over it again i would say about 6 pages in the races section is it.
Dragon78 wrote: So do Catfolk have natural claw attacks? Nope neither the monster nor the PC race info give them claws.
Sounds cool and handy.
Yeah i was kinda wonder what a PDF of this would be beyond just a lot of images.
Ok I just got a email from... well lets just call them a reliable source of someone that would likely know and have no reason to lie. Below is quoted from the email on the record.
Quote: For the moment Alluria is dead in the water. The quality of the books was simply to high; they didn't even come close to making back what they put into them, and basicly went bankrupt. If the money stream somehow comes in, Alluria will be back. They said more off the record but because they said off the record I won't repeat what they said. Very sad to hear, but kinda what i expected. They had very high quality art and work on their books, I was kinda afraid of this. Anyways i thought I would pass this along to those that was interested.
I am going to try and see if I can get in contact with them and maybe talk them into trying a pledge drive for future products and to help recoup some of their loses.
Very cool that you are doing more. I read it and my main reaction was, what no more? Pity you can't sell it. As that would make it a lot easier to get more stuff going with it.
Very cool and I know the cover is a mock up but it still looks cool too.
Interesting, guess we will have to see how money is in may now.
In my personal experience the speed of the game play has less to do with rules and more how well everyone knows the rules. Plus if the players have their actions already decided when it is their turn or if they spend time when it is their turn deciding what to do making everyone wait.
I say this cause I have seen a fairly simple fight in White Wolf Storyteller game take way over a hour. While I have seen a fairly large fight in Rolemaster with all it's charts only take about 30 mins. In both cases it was more about the people playing than the rules.
I only bring this up cause what peoples personally experiences with a game will color their responses despite how fast or slow the game is with the same level of players. If that makes sense.
Ah ok.
So your next book in the encounters line then huh? Only this one is not a themed book just cool encounters?
Just curious has anyone picked this up yet or know more about it? You can find the company blog here.
Well I was saying check with Pathfinder Society. Like the local one where I live is over a hour away. But it has members where I live, they just go out like once a month for the Pathfinder Society thing.

"Dave created an awesome cup of coffee there. I went into this thinking 'instant freeze-dried coffee? There's no way he can pull that off' but he did! - 5 stars" - Endzeitgeist
"I don't believe I've ever seen a better attempt to unlock a car. Too bad about the dropped groceries - I give this shopping trip 4.5 stars" - Dark_Mistress
Are you really sure you want to be graded on ... oh I don't know say... sexual technique? :)
Sounds different :)
Yes that's the page. It doesn't do it with all of them but say for example Alluria Publishing when I click it, it just takes me back to the same page. There are some other companies links that do it as well.
I meant their web page is noW gone, not not gone.... le sigh.
My first question is there a local gaming store near where you live?
Second question is have you checked out the Pathfinder Society in your area?
Both of those are good ways to find local people to game with.

I mean are all the players more or less saying the same things? If they are then it just might be a conflict in style between how you run and how they want to play. I have been in a group like that and it just end well.
Yeah, I'm trying to keep it anonymous. I don't think any of my players read these forums, we don't play PF (at least, not when I'm running so far) and they don't really get into forum surfing, but I'd still rather at least try to keep the appearance of keeping things anonymous if I can.
But no, it's not all the players saying the same thing. It's actually more like player A says this, player B says something else but then agrees with player A (contradicting themselves) when player A elbows them in the side. Player C says something else, and Player D says 'whatever, I don't care, let's play'. It sounds like there is a conflict in what people want and possibly with out knowing the people. That they might be use to most modern games. Where NPC's have big glowing ! over their head or something if they have a quest for you to do. Where everything is spoon fed to the player and the RPing is more of NPC says this and you have 4 options to respond.
Not saying the above is true but it is starting to sound that way from the stuff you are saying. But regardless this is sounding like their is just a major conflict in play styles all around and if the players won't work with you and each other to compromise and make things work it never will.
What Chuck said.

On a side note if you are just looking for 3D combat rules Alluria is selling them at Drivethru for a buck fifty I believe. It is the same 3D combat rules as in Cerulean Sea's book, just taken out and sold on their own. I think it is something like 9 or 10 pages. Just a FYI.
Ok I was checking and not all the links do it but many of them do.
Depends on how busy the peeps at Paizo are and how hot they get. I mean peeps melt after all and get all sticky and mushy. With the holidays coming up I imagine it might be awhile, but really I have no clue. :)
So any word on Alluria? It has been now almost two months since the email and still nothing new.
I just checked on Drivethru and their company web page is not gone. Their products are still for sale but no company web page. It will be very disappointing if they went out of business. :(
Understandable about the lack of money. It is worth the price. Good content and good artwork. I and several others did reviews for it if you are curious to learn more about it.
The book is not even out in stores yet. I imagine it will be awhile before it is added to the PRD.
J-Spee Lovecraft wrote: Does the iguanodon have two thumb spike attacks or two claw attacks? I realize that's an odd question but I was just wondering. In the attack information it calls them claws but in the special abilities it stats they are thumb spikes and do triple damage on crits.
She is pretty good. Not sure what the style is called. I call it water color style due to the slight blurring of the color.
What the title says. If you click that page, right now all the company links highlight if you hover over one and if you click one it just takes you back to the compatible products listing page.
As mentioned Cerulean Seas Campaign Setting has everything you need to run a undersea campaign. It is IMHO the best undersea DnD/Pathfinder book made to date. It even has a fairly large section on 3D combat in the sea. Plus undersea races, class tweaks and some new classes. Not to mention tweaking all the spells to work underwater like Fireball.
I would say the art is about average for a Paizo product as a whole.
I noticed but didn't comment that about half of them was mermaids.
I think the druid one and the one with the chick in the tree maybe a druid are my two favorite... after the reverse Conan of course. :)
Dragon78 wrote: What are the names, CR, appearances of the new Rakshasa? Dandasuka CR5 and kinda a scary freaky gnome.
Maharaja CR20, human with 4 extra animal heads.
Marai CR8, freaky humanoid looking thing with 6 snakes in place of arms
Raktavarna CR2, sorta half snake, half sword looking thing, hard to explain.
Tataka CR15, blue skinned humanoid with some feral animal features.
Quote: How many different types of Thriae are there? 3
Quote: Do the three other types of spinxes have any abilities that are new to them? Yes looks like they each have one.
Quote: What is the fey template called and what creature types does it apply to? Fey Creature, any living corporeal creature.
Quote: The Greater Medusa is in there right? what is her CR, appearance, etc.? didn't find her on a word search.
The reverse Conan one cracked me up.
Nope no hengeyokai. Or at least word search didn't find it in the PDF.
