"There are two questions. Is it natural, and if so can the people survive it? If not, then who is responsible and how do we stop them?"
"There is a difference between the untamed natural world and the sheer chaos of insanity. You represent the first. One of the best things about this place. She would appear to be the second."
"Some things cannot be tamed. They either live wild, die or destroy everything that tries to coexist with them. The question is, which is she?"
Content to silently observe up to this point. Dao looks at Selyne as she speaks.
"There is much benefit in simplicity. Isee nothing wrong with trying to live one's life in harmony with the world around you."
Dao takes as much of the load as she can carry efficiently and joins the rest as the march, carrying the now stripped and hogtied woman in tow.
Yup, against helpless target, auto hit, auto crit nonlethal.
Dao nods at Selyne's suggestion and focuses for a moment then strikes with almost impossible speed.
4d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 2) + 2 = 15
Dao smiles quietly
Dao looks at Calista calmly. "By your own words you have condemned yourself to death. you proved to be weaker therefore you are now prey."
"We must go to this city. As far as she is concerned, I say we vote, if we cannot trust her, we should not leave her to strike at our backs."
"Perhaps we should find where she came from, it may hold keys to her plans and any other information."
Dao's face is expressionless as she devivers a kick to the woman's head.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 Stunning fist DC 16
2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 3) + 1 = 9
Aside from starting a fire while underwater without anyone getting a sense motive check at her escape attempt.
Dao dashes after the woman at top speed.
"Only if that proves necessary," the little monk replies, her face and tone devoid of expression.
"Who do you despoil this land?"
Dao charges forward with a flying kick to launche the woman into the water.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 1) + 2 = 6
She dead yet?
As Selyne again grapples the woman, Dao again leapstowards the woman her hands graspin the Blighter's hair for a oment as she brings first one then the other knee up at the grappled woman's face.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) = 9
She lands right next to her daring her to bring the flame again.
Hopefully those are both enough to hit a grappled, flanked opponent
wHO'S TURN IS IT?
Dao returns the glare with an impassive look as she dashes forward, a lightning fast charge that brings the heel of her hand driving into the woman's mouth.

Ok this is the fourth consecutive 1 I've rolled on this dice roller today!
Reonnyn wrote: "Eh, not to be a pest here, but one thing I learned in my...travels... he he, is that no plan survives contact with the enemy. So, what will we do when this plan dies?" "Hit her unti she stops moving"
"She is right. Those who are greatly feared often forget the wisdom in fearing others. Those who are unbeated believe they will remain so. If she sees a challenge she believes is no threat to her, she will be overly confident."
"It is a way to exercise power. They believe that the more shiny metal and gems one accumulates, the more power. Many people will doo anything for these items."
Selyne wrote: Dao wrote: "I can see why one would want to preserve this place." Selyne glances at Dao, "Is the world beyond, where the sky canoe's come from, truly so different from here?" She whispers, not wishing to draw the attention of the carnivores to the group.

To begin quietly doing so. "Sadly yes it is. Greed and the value of coin often dominates the minds of people, and there are precious few who respect the natural world. At least here, most of the threats are only that because their survival depends upon it."
The young monk seems sad, perhaps remembering something that has heavily affected her view of the world.
"I can see why one would want to preserve this place."
"Then we should begin our journey now. I am as ready now as at any other time."

"Peace will come when the disharmony is eliminated." Dao says quietly.

Don't worry, something... happens tommorrow...

"I do not know too much about them, but it's someone who can become a wolf or some kind of wolf monster. They are supposed to be dangerous." Doa proceeds to wash the soap from her body enjoying the feeling of clean water pouring down her hair.
Dao smiles at the confused look on Selyne's face. "More closely than we were watching her before."
Dao shakes her head quietly then be gins liberally soaping the body.
"She will bear watching closely,"she says to Selyne,
Dao's skin breaks out into gooseflesh as she witnnesses the strange occurrence. Shaking off an involuntary shiver she shares a look with the amazonian native.
Selyne
Stripping down to only her amulet and ring, Dao takes great pleasure in washing the sweat and grime of the island off of her body, the briskness of the river's water reminding her of her mornings at the monastary. To any observing it is clear that the little woman's tight frame is canvas for quite a few scars.

I'm pretty sure Seleyne's just wearing a net attached to her body to hold her stuff.
Ahh the monk...if you're going to get into a fight buck nekkid, be a monk.
I was under the impression Reonynn was the one who wanted a private place, Dao would have probably just joined Selyne wherever she went since she knows the island best.
Dao quietly joins Selyne making her way through the brush after the tall half elf. "Yes, a bath would be a welcome pleasure."
"She does not kill for food, or safety. She kills and destroys for pleasure. She destroys because she can. She must be stopped before more suffer unnecessarily."

"So far the island has been preferable to the cities I have been in. The people have been...refreshing in their honesty." Dao says looking over at Selyne, arms covered in blood tossing meat to be smoked.
LOL
Dao nods to Selyne as she begins to search the man's corpse.
Works for me
Dao takes in the scene after the battle silently, watching as Selyne skins the creatures. Shhe looks at the two men, as they exchange....pleasantries attempting to gain some insight into them.
