Even though they have the amount they need we can still support this with a donation and get the Thornkeep book right?

I would love to see a MMO that actually cares about roleplayers. Honestly, please do not make the game full of instanced dungeons and a hub where people hang out like a D&D Online. Don't want that. Want a real game. Would love the best aspects of old school Neverwinter Nights Persistant worlds like ALFA mixed in with WoW/EQ/Star Wars Galaxies.

Any MMO your going to have players who ruin the immersion factor, but I hope somehow there will be things in place to help roleplayers enjoy the game without being hounded.

Just please don't make the game a cash shop game. SICK of those games. Make a game full of polish, rich story, and one that is fun solo and in groups.

Good luck and I will keep watching!

Wizards of the Coast. It was originally designed by employees of and those directly working for TSR. Now WotC owns it.

Thank you!

The whole kit and kaboodle. Not just the books, campaign setting, and art. Everything. I am trying to track down who owns the intellectual property. Thanks!

Super super happy that they announced this game! I love Civ soooo much!

It's truly a shame that this show wasn't given a fair shake by Fox. It is great! Fox has meddled with this show since inception. Joss had to redo the premiere, because Fox didn't like it and they have constantly stuck their noses into this show. Granted, some episodes haven't been good, but the episodes are 10x better than most tv. They are being canceled, but only because Fox is completely idiotic about what is good tv.

Everything has been in high gear since everyone learned Fox was canceling the show. Joss decided to go out with a major bang and he is delivering big time!! I was floored at the episodes lately. Especially, last nights! I had not seen that coming at all. Felt really awful for topher (OMG that's Summer your doing that too!)

I really cannot wait for the remaining episodes. I have a feeling that something is going to happen to Millie next as she tweeted her last episode was like the one before the last two.

To me, the supporting cast on this show is 10x better than the lead actor. I am not a real fan of Eliza Dushku. She has had her moments on the show, but the supporting cast put together for this show is amazing! Every single one of them are incredible actors and they have made this show!

Buckle up. Only a few episodes left. The real ending should happen in the next one or two. Epitath 2 will be the final episode set in the future.

The first part of the 2 parter was "meh" I got tired of watching the Doctor run all over the place. Was sick of them hearing the Master laugh every minute. How it ended was still kinda Meh.

Second part was slightly better. More plot. The part of Wilfry in the box reminded me of what another person said on Syfy thread...Wrath of Khan with Spock. Then, they played the last of the episode out waaay too long. His death was like, is it ever going to get over with...

It was super cool to see Rose again, though. She lost some weight after having the baby in real life. Matt Smith seems really young. Look forward to seeing how his run on Dr. Who pans out. I enjoyed Tennant a lot and think him and Tom Baker were the best out of the Dr. Who's. Wish him well and good luck in Hollywood with his new NBC series.

Want to play virtual D&D then play NWN persistant worlds. I could play some very engaging sessions with lots of people. I was both a player and a DM. We build the worlds, the quests, everything that was on the server. No, it wasn't WoW or DDO like. It was PnP roleplaying without the nonsense you see in most MMO's. That is my virtual tabletop.

No clue how this product is, but I remember Avlis fondly back in the Neverwinter Nights days. I use to play there as well as A Land Far Away. Always good times!

This game was terrible and Cryptic is an awful company. I had high hopes for Star Trek before I played Champions in beta, but Cryptic wouldn't listen to any of us. They had a schedule to follow I guess from Atari and damn everything if the game was still a bug ridden mess.

On top of everything Cryptic has done nothing, but made messes of every PR attempt to gain more players. Their Halloween free weekend was a disaster. Servers were down, people couldn't patch, and devs and PR folks nowhere to be found. I guess no one works on the weekends at Cryptic. This past Thanksgiving they had another free weekend and it was the same mess. Servers up and down, people couldn't patch, etc. It amazes me that this company exists. I dread to think of what it's going to be like for Star Trek. This IP is 100x bigger than Champions and it's getting a lot more media coverage.

Cryptic is utter fail and it's a darn shame.

Firefly please!!! Please make it happen!

would love to lurk if possible, too

I also really like the WoTC character builder. Would be great if we got something like that. They want to build Iphone apps and all that I think Paizo could do something like the character builder. I think it would also help out a lot of newer players to roleplaying games.

I just moved out to Central Cali from IL and left my old gaming group behind. I live in Cambria. Looking for some Cali players who are nearby. I am something of a novice with D&D and Pathfinder. I have played for awhile, but still don't understand all the rules. I love to RP, though! If your looking for another player please msg me.

Least I'm moving up. 4th place. Kicking myself in my other league. I was in 1st place and started warner instead of farve at QB. Warner gets hurt and goes out of the game. Farve threw 4 tds. I lost by 2 points. Ugh lol.

I'd love to play. Where I'm living there aren't folks close by the play a Live Pathfinder game so this would be great to get into. I have a wave account already. Please add me at danubus38@googlewave.com

Tweetdeck is a great twitter tool. You can also see Facebook and Myspace feeds and updates from it now, too. With Tweetdeck you can have Facebook, myspace, and twitter all post the same thing at once so you don't have to use different apps for it.

I recommend this one. Its online, creates a nice character sheet, doesn't require you to install anything, and is free. You can even share your sheet with your GM and so some other neat stuff.

I checked that one out and it says Pathfinder Beta. Any news if they will upgrade it to the Pathfinder final release?

My biggest beef with WoTC and gaming companies in general is why do they think they have to put out so many different books? People can barely afford the core stuff anymore. WoTC puts out 3 of this or 3 of that and honestly it just turns me off from the company. I want to be able to play a game without having to own 20 books. I know I don't "have" to buy them, but come on..

lol no the Wotc Dungeons and Dragons Facebook page. I am a huge Tiamat fan. Couldn't believe they had her being some flunky for Bane in 4e.

I'm not playing 4th, but I saw this on Facebook and I was pleased. My Queen finally dealt with an annoying nat of a God. I hope it's canon and it stays that way.

Irking me off that I have lost a few weeks in a row. Getting trounced is no fun. It's wierd, because I have good players. I just am seeing them not produce on certain sundays and others they go nuts. Also, the bye week thing has killed me a few weeks. It sucks.. I am leading another league at 7-2 and being mediocre in this one. *sigh*

I kinda gave up watching after last week's episode, but I will continue to watch it. It started off well, but I'm kinda on the fence with the series now.

The trailer looks fun. I love steampunk though, so I may be biased. I'll probably watch it later tonight, and I'll see what I think of it :)

Episodes come out bi-weekly until end of Jan or beginning for Feb. Supposedly, they actually had a nice chunk of cash to do this series. About the same as Dr. Horrible I have read. So, hopefully, this is top notch and will win some Streamy awards next year!

Atari blasts back from the past with new game plan

Just this week, Atari acquired California-based Cryptic Studios for $28 million…

I will be curious to see how this plays out.

This is super old news and Champions is terrible. Cryptic can't get anything right. The game is bad, their servers are constantly down, and they just had a free weekend for their Halloween event and the patch server was borked all weekend and people couldn't patch or log in.

It scares me that these people are doing Star Trek MMO next.

New steampunk webseries.

First episode is now out! Watch Riese fight the evil Sect.

From the makers of the original Diablo and Diablo 2 comes a new Action RPG called Torchlight. The original Blizzard North guys have made a great new game! It is everything you loved about Diablo, but updated for 2009! The best part about the game besides gameplay itself? It's only 20 bucks!

http://www.torchlightgame.com/

You can also download demos of the game on Steam, WildTangent, and Perfectworld.com. You get 2 hrs to demo the game. You can also buy the game from those sites, but I encourage you all to buy directly from Runic Games so they get 100% of the profits!

This game is single player only for now. In the next 18-24 months they are going to add an MMO aspect to the game as well. If anyone is familar with Mythos then you will understand how they plan on doing it.

So, check it out! It's probably the best indie game that has come out in years!

It sure would be nice to look forward to the weekend! :-) Me, I'm looking at a heaping plate of fresh, steaming humiliation served up by the River Bottom Nightmare Band! While they haven't won yet...it sure looks that way. My neck hurts from looking up at everybody else in the standings! :-)

Looks like I am going 5-1 in both my yahoo leagues to lead both of them! Pretty happy about that! Just gotta keep hanging on now till the playoffs.

Looking forward to this weekend! Myself and Valks going head to head! Both 4-1 teams for the top spot!

Didn't like the premiere, but the 2nd episode was pretty good so I will continue to watch it off of Hulu.

"Maybe if I make hollow promises and and get hooked up with ACORN and Chicago politicians I can get this done without being put in a rubber room!

This basicly makes the Nobel Prize a farce...and demeans everyone her actually EARNED IT"

This. Let's not forget his ties to the Illini teacher/terrorist and his good buddy Emil Jones of Chicago who hasn't met a lobbyist he didn't take money from...

Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize... best laugh I've had all day. Dude hasn't done anything and people are handing him awards. Cult of personality indeed.

I'll watch a few more episodes to see if it has any real legs to stand on, but the first episode was a snoozefest.

Watched the premiere on Syfy and I thought it sucked. It was slow, I couldn't get into any of the characters, and it's basically a rip off of Voyager, but set in the Stargate universe. Was lame.

Also, sorry if that came on a bit strong I am just really tired of the Rush bashing on other forums and now a reporter from the Post Dispatch has gone so far as to play the race card against Rush owning the Rams (which is just ridiculous!). It's tiresome and this is about football.

Ok..so for those who have no clue what their talking about...

Rush is working with the owner of the St. Louis Blues to buy the Rams. His group is one of 6 groups currently in talks to buy the Rams. If his group does indeed get the winning bid they have stated they will KEEP the team in St. Louis. Rush is from Missouri. He will not want to move the team.

Rush also will be nothing more than a minority owner. Dave Checketts will be the major player along with current majority owner Stan Kronke who owns the Colorado Avalanche and Nuggets/Pepsi Center.

Also, I skimmed this thread, but I don't even wanna hear politics brought up here. Sick of reading them already on the STL Post Dispatch website. Who cares what Rush believes in. He wants to help the team and I'm all for that.

Doing well in both my leagues. 3-1 in both leagues. Favre really helped out last night. Keeping him in against St. Louis next week. Gonna tear up that defense lol.

Happy to kick all your butts this year. My only loss is when I was offline for a week while I moved out here to Cali =P

Btw, Garden Gnomes, you might wanna pay more attention to who has a bye week and what not. =P

You all will bow down to the Purple Dragon's!

Nerds don't like change. I didn't mind the WOTC site, but I am easy to please.

I don't mind a small league as long as we have even teams to draft. Either way, I am cool with whatever we do. I pre-ranked just in case I can't make the draft tonight. Might be in WoW or something when it's going on lol.

Just joined! Purple Dragon's.

I can see it from a business point of view. Marvel is getting a lot of cash, a huge studio to help them promote their movies and projects and tons of resources. I just hope Disney doesn't go all Comics Code on them and dumb down their comics. Although, since Joe Quesada has ran Marvel their comics can't get much worse. I use to be a major Marvel fanboy, but since he started running Marvel the company has turned into a joke story wise. It's all about their movie/tv stuff and flashy art. Good storytelling has gone the way of the dinosaur at Marvel.

Does it have the Pathfinder core rules support yet? Anyone know?

The Guild's new music video is now out on Xbox Live, Itunes, and YouTube! You can see the video on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urNyg1ftMIU

Please, if you have twitter or other social networking sites...post a link to the video. Rate it and favorite it on Youtube! Season 3 starts August 25th!

Just got back from GenCon and glad to find out a bit about the new classes. I had asked at the booth and they told us it would be announced around 5pm. We somehow got sidetracked and I missed it. Got another Pathfinder core for one more person in my gaming group and we looked things over at the booth. Saw Lisa talking to Ryan Dancey. Wanted to say hi, but didn't want to interrupt them. Was great to just see her and to check out the booth. We also really loved the new Reaper mini's. Can't wait to see more of the line when they come out.

This was my first GenCon and I had a really good time. We only came for one day and I really wished we would have stayed for a few days, because I really wanted to sit down and play in some pathfinder games. We spent most of the day walking the exhibit room. I am going to come back next year for sure and hopefully for a few days.

My gaming group was anxious to get their characters converted so we could play in our campaign we recently started. Everyone is very happy with the new rules. We have a number of younger gamers in our group so it's good to see them really get into and support Pathfinder.

Anyway, a great time at GenCon and I am coming back for sure!

Heard that Paizo is working on an Iphone app for Pathfinder. Cool news for those who live someplace that device works. I live in the boonies and wouldn't get half the functions of the phone. :(

paizo is having a pathfinder preview night tonight are they not?

wasn't this GenCon announcement going to be for Saturday?

This is awesome news!
