They are big, sweaty brutes who wear a lot of furs and don't bathe often.
Mix one part field laborer, two parts wet dog, a smidgen of sour milk, and one part smelly hobo. Stir well, heat at 365 for one hour, and voila, your very own Ulfen stench!

Dank Grimwolf is a Kellid barbarian who left his home to search for his sister, who was abducted by Ulfen raiders during an attack on his tribe. He originally had several companions with him, but they have all fallen, whether in battle or to accident or illness, leaving only him to continue the search. He lost their trail long ago, and for the past year has been wandering aimlessly.
He strongly dislikes Ulfen people.
I'll need to rework his abilities and traits, possibly a few other minor changes to his stats, and rework his background a little bit. Originally made him for a Second Darkness game that died out.
I've skimmed through the books, but haven't ever gotten to play or GM them, and would love the chance.
I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, everything is magnetic to some degree. The problem is getting all of your atomic poles arranged in the same direction. I seem to remember seeing something about them polarizing a frog once, and making it levitate with a magnet.
Or I may just be nuts and delusional.
??
I am interested in pledging for the P20 Modern, but won't have money at hand until sometime in May. I noticed on your sight that the pledge period ends on April 30th, and you only have around 11% of the funds you need. Does this mean I am S.O.o.L., or what?
What happens if May roles arund and you don't have the amount you need? Is the project just going to die out on the burner, or be delayed until you get enough funding, or what?
Curious and wanting to pledge, but not drawing paychecks again until May.
Its not a body slam, but try and watch some footage of Cung Le. He was the K-1 champion for a bit, I think. I remember watching him in one match where he used a belly-to-back suplex on his opponent several times in the match. Ref had to call it when the other guy couldn't stand up straight after the fourth or fifth one.
You don't see it often, but wrestling techniques can be very dangerous.
On the other hand, 'professional wrestling' is a soap opera with badly choreographed fights. I used to atch a lot, and have two friends who can usually predict a match move for move on a live broadcast.
Cast ghost sound and mage hand on a barbarian's loincloth to make it shake and growl.
Next stop, a naked raging barbarian axing a small piece of animal hide.

Most of my friends smoke, and the majority of them are very productive. One of them earned three degrees in five years at college. Another is a chemistry and polymer science graduate. Roughly half of my potheaded friends smoke cigarettes, the others don't ever touch them. Now I'm not saying I don't know any smokers who are a waste of space and resources, but many of them were just as big of a waste before they started smoking.
I myself used to smoke, but had to stop once I got a real job, as the risk of losing my job far outways the benefits of smoking. Unfortunately, this means I rarely sleep well, and sometimes go a day or two without eating, but that is the price I pay for being a member of society.
The real issue in my mind would be a better way to see if someone is intoxicated at that moment or not. Say someone comes into work that smokes, and there is an accident. If you are intoxicated, then you would not be eligible for workman's comp. But maybe you smoked a week ago at a friend's birthday or something, and it is still in your system. Should you still be disqualified from workman's compensation?
Same issue arises with DUI's.
The winged humanoids in Cheliax at the Devil's Perch
Dank just sits there, enjoying his frosty beverage and watching the people in the room.
"I stay here until I find.. yellowbeards who fly blue... flag.. with red eagle holding... a broken sword. You know them?" he says to Saul.
Dank raises his mug in a silent toast to the people mentioned, and drains the rest from it, setting it down and looking for another.
Hearing Mordecai's offer and then his scathing, and to Dank, quite confusing, long denial of wanting anything of his, he sits there for a few breaths, pondering Mordecai's words. He then shrugs, and chooses to ignore the acerbic remark, since he isn't sure he understood it anyway.
"Opening? You mean..job? What I do.. for job? What do job pay?" he asks. Then quickly follows with another question. "And.. I told you my name. What you.. peoples' names?"
"Where's a..little man going?" Dank says, watching as Mel walks out of the Gold Goblin. When he turns back to his tankard, he sees Mordecai directing the tokens through the air, and hastily snatches his back up from the table in front of him, glaring at Mordecai suspiciously.
"Better not do that to my.. uh. stuff!" he barks.
"Uhh..yeah. You give and I take." Dank says with a friendly smile on his face.
"I am Dank. I came, from my, people's, land. Looking, for my mother's daughter..err..sister. Yellow-beards take her. Followed them here. They have, uhh, flag. Red hawk on, blue cloth. Broken sword in mouth, uh, beak. You know them?"
His speach begins freindly enough, but by the end his voice has taken on a rather determined and inquisitorial tone, and he looks around at everyone, trying to determine if any of them might recognize the description of the Ulfens' flag.
Sense Motive (1d20+1=21)
Really didn't expect much out of that roll, IC must like me today.
"Hrrm...I will be glad to take your drinks and food." Dank replies, seeming to feel each word out as he speaks it, as if he is not quite used to speaking this language. Spotting the crossbow on the ground, he surreptitiously glances around before quickly picking it up and sticking it in his belt, and then follows the black-clothed man into the gambling hall, looking uncertainly at the silver tooth-shaped token he recieved before the scuffle broke out.
Come on Scriptak! I need someone with some brains to counter my brawn!
Should i speak Hallit and Taldane, or just one of them?
Here is Dank Grimwolf, complete with backstory, grudges, and a reason for being in Riddleport. If I need to make any adjustments, just let me know.

The Kellids are not so fair-skinned, I believe. They tend to have duskier-toned skin and dark hair. Think Conan (from the original stories, or the Frank Frazetta Arnold S.). Of course yours could look as you described, but your 'average' Kellid doesn't.

Cannot find it!!!!!!
Absolutely F'n wonderful, or funderful (can anyone tell me what that's from? but i digress). You fellows have made me a very happy man. I will continue to support your future endeavors as long as they are even half as good as what has come before (but hopefully as good or better) :)
She kind of reminds me of Rose from Legend of the Dragoon.
I have the original somewhere in my room. It may take me a few days to dig it up and scan it, but I will see what i can do.
Pathfinder
or Pipeline Surveyor
I get to run around the woods and swamps with a machete and a tripod mounted laser gun, and flag a path for archeologists and enviromentalists to follow.
and I too love my job
Pathfinder DM Screen!
Ahwoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
irrelevant to the game mechanics, but just f.y.i., composite bows are callede such because they are made out of layers of different woods (and nowadays some other synthetic materials)presses tgether. Not all of them are recurve, and not all recurve bows are composite, a plain single wood bow can be a recurve bow.
suggest that one or more of your pc's be from the town of Sandpoint. Then some of the story should be known to them as it would to most of the townsfolk.

I am confused about the iconics skill points at 2nd level (from D1). If this has been answered on a different thread, could some one redirect me. I figured out most of it i believe, but Merisiel seems to have 10 to many ranks spent.

Tumble (+4 ranks, +3 Dex) = +7
Total = 28 ranks (which is appropriate for an Elven rogue with an 8 Int)

Hope that helps,

P.S. I don't have D1: Crown of the Kobold King yet, so I can't assess those distributions.
Definitly squares away the level 1 versions.
thanks
I am a little bit confused on the iconics skill point selection. In the 1st-level versions for D0, near as i can figure, Merisiel has spent 30 skill points as opposed to the 28 she should have, and I believe she has one to many in Disable Device (4=-1 dex + 5 ranks).
And then when you look at the D1 versions, they have all lost skill points, except for Merisiel, who now has 45 ranks instead of 35, and has lost the previous skill of Open Lock (which i believe she had 2 ranks in).
Other than this relatively minor mistake, i am thoroughly impressed with the two modules and eagerly await the the next one and Pathfinder.
Thanks alot guys and gals.
oohhh. And iron dinnerware, yum.
TheDrone wrote: I know what an armor/weaponsmith would craft...
What then would a Blacksmith craft? Could he also craft arms and armor? I would think not when the crafts are so specific... but then what?
umm.. all kinds of useful things, like... ummm... nails, and horseshoes, and uhh.. iron grates. Maybe a door knocker as well. Thats about it i think.
I just recieved my physical copy of D1, and may i just say that the quality is excellent. I had already perused through my pdf file of it, and thoroughly enjoyed the adventure, having it actually in my hands has made it so much more appealing. It almost made me want to throw away my printer.
Applause and congratulations to you Nicholas Logue for a great adventure, and thanks to Paizo for an excellent product.
